He’s going to make me beg before I get it.

I didn’t ask to marry that dirty bastard.

My father is the leader of the Irish mob, and he sold me off to Enzo Carbone as a part of his peace deal with the Italians. My new husband is handsome and charming, but he’s dangerous as hell.

I hate being around that cocky bastard. Enzo thinks he owns me because I was forced to marry him.

I should run away, but I can’t seem to move every time his body presses against my hips. He’s sexy and dominating with hands that make me grip his arms and toss my head back.

When the peace fails and my father is murdered, suddenly everyone’s after me. The only person keeping me alive is my dangerous husband Enzo.

He’s harsh with his enemies and demanding at home. I don’t know how I can survive him.

His intense smile says everything I need to know: I’m his for as long as he wants me.

I need to beg. I need to obey. I need to hear him say, “You’re Mine.”

You're Mine is very steamy and filled with action. It's only recommended for audiences 18+. This is a standalone novel with a guaranteed HEA!

You're Mine (A Bad Boy Mafia Romance) by Emma Spring

Sophia Murphy is the daughter of Patrick Murphy the Leader of the Irish Mafia. Patrick is trying to work out a peace treaty with the Italian Mafia leader Umberto Carbone. Umberto's son Enzo is to marry Sophia in a month, they are both taken by surprised by this news that in one month they will be their wedding. After reading the first two chapters of this story I was hooked, I fell in love with both Sophia and Enzo. The writing is excellent and the book sucks you in, I could not put it down till I finished the book. If you love bad boys and fast action books you will love this one, I sure did. I would recommend this book to anyone. I was given this book for my honest opinion. This is a 10 star book.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

I thought this book was an easy enjoyable read. It was about two mafia families arranging a marriage for the sake of peace, but when one of the bosses is killed the marriage seems to be not needed anymore. But to Enzo and Sophie who want to stay married they are in the fight for their lives as they are being hunted by the men who are set to tear the peace apart. This book like I said is a easy read not to much indepth but it was a good break from some of the books I have read lately.

Oh, where to start with this?
I'm first going to point out that the blurb doesn't accurately describe this book.

Second, the characters are as flat as a page in a book. The POV alternates between Enzo and Sophia. The characters' voices are the same. There's nothing really that separates them other than didn't pronouns being used.

Perhaps it's because I watched Sons of Anarchy and loved it that I really really didn't feel this whole mafia thing. I would think the MC is run a bit like the mafia. I felt like if this had been a real mafia, Enzo would have been in deep shit for going against his dad and behind his dad's back as many times as he did.

Also, I had issues with the passing of time. It felt like the book spanned maybe a week, tops. But on a couple of occasions, Sophia made comments about weeks and possibly even months passing. Also, something happened at one point that only send like it took like an hour but forced dehydration was mentioned and a comment was made about how that's just cruel and inhumane torture.

I'm also not a huge fan of this insta-love BS. Enzo and Sophia are from rivaling mafias. They would have grown up using each other because they're rivals in the mafia world. Now, all of a sudden, the head honchos are wanting peace so they do a forced arranged marriage. And they pretty much instantly fall in love and can't live without each other. It's not sweet to me. It's not romantic to me. It makes me roll my eyes at the sheer stupidity of it all.

I had more issues but I didn't write them down and I don't remember them now. I'm thinking this is a new author. I hope she's learned some from this book and grown since this was written. It's not horrible for a debut book. I've definitely read much worse.

Sophia can't wait until her 18th birthday so she can finally get out of the Irish mob business. You see her father is running the mob and she wants nothing more than for him to get out of this business but she knows that will never happen so she has no other choice but to leave herself. She is busy making plans to get out as soon as she can but one evening those plans get thrown out the window in one conversation with her father. He implodes Sophia's life and plans for the future in one sentence. She has to marry someone from the Italian mob and she only has a few hours to get ready to go meet him for the first and last time before the wedding. Her head is spinning but she is also thinking of ways to get out of this marriage. What happens next no one expected!! Enzo is not happy with the news his father just delivered to him and in front of the Irish mob so Enzo couldn't make a scene.. Now his only focus is trying to figure how to get out of this wedding.....

Good story, unfortunately the characters lacked depth and it was extremely fast paced so the scenes felt rushed. I think if more time had have been spent drawing out the scenes and developing the characters I would have given it 5 stars. But in any case I enjoyed it.

As the daughter of the Irish mafia's leader, Sophia Murphy is no stranger to violence. For years, she's begged her father to initiate peace agreements, but she never thought that he'd agree. It comes as a huge surprise to her when she's told that after her eighteenth birthday, she'll be married off to Enzo Carbone, son of the leader of the Italian mafia. The Murphy family's biggest rival.

Sophia is definitely attracted to Enzo, but she's not at all on board with the idea of this sham marriage. She wanted to escape mafia life, not get involved even more deeply by marrying into another family. But soon, Sophia begins questioning her whole life as people she's trusted betray her and people she's been brought up to hate offer protection.

The first thing I have to say is that the blurb for this book really has nothing to do with the plot. This is a really big thing for me because the blurb is what's going to make people decide to read your book. And this blurb is just wholly inaccurate.

Enzo thinks he owns me because I was forced to marry him.
Enzo is actually very respectful and protective of Sophia?

He's harsh with his enemies and demanding at home.
Harsh with his enemies, sure. But demanding at home? He never forces her to do anything.

I don't know how I can survive him.
Seriously? He's like a puppy.

I mean, don't get me wrong. I'm glad the blurb was wrong. I don't think I could have made it through if Enzo was as horrible as it makes him sound.

The writing feels very immature, so I wouldn't be surprised to find that this is the author's debut. She had a good idea, but I don't think it was developed as well as it could have been. The characters are poorly developed, very one-dimensional, and there seems to be little point to their actions. Sophia's choices, in particular, don't make a lot of sense and seem to exist only to get her into situations in which Enzo is required to save her. Both Sophia and Enzo explicitly state every emotion they're feeling (often with a lot of exclamation points). The timing also felt a bit off, because it seemed to me that everything happened very quickly, but then we have Sophia saying things like "after all this time," making it sound like they're been together for years... or at least months.

I found the names a little confusing. Liam, for example, is a member of the Italian mafia. Liam is an Irish name. Why was he not part of the Irish mafia? Is there a story there? If so, we don't hear about it. Similarly, Sophia is affiliated with the Irish mafia. I'm sure that Irish Sophias exist, but the name is definitely more Italian.

While I didn't hate this book, it certainly wasn't my cup of tea. It's not the worst book that I've read recently, but I didn't really enjoy it, either. I'm sure that there will be a lot of people who love it, though, given that it has a lot of action and plenty of steamy scenes. If that's something you like, definitely give this book a try.

I had the luxury of reading You're Mine in an ARC in exchanged for a honest review. This was my first time reading a book by Emma Spring, and wow she blow me away with this book she mad me a fan for sure. I am giving Sophia and Enzo story 5 stars because the way their story was well crafted together. I mean you have two completely different people who find out that they are going to have to marry each other, and what really sucks for both of them is they don't have a choice to back out of the wedding because their fathers tell them that their marriage is supposed to bring peace between their families. On one hand you have Sophia who always been sheltered from her family business she knows what her father does and always feared her dad would be killed, but she has never actually witness the cruelty of it. What Sophia for sure knows is once she turns 18 teen she wants to move far away and have nothing to do with her father business well that is until her father breaks the news to her that his using her to bring peace. After all this happens Sophia starts to realize that the loving relationship she had with her father was all a lie. Because she feels like if he ever really loved her he would have never made her marry not only a stranger but her family enemy, but once she sees Enzo she scared but notices how hot he is. Of course Enzo the total opposite of his future wife. He has been involved in the family business since he quit school at 15 teen, and he has done everything he has to do to make sure that his father sees that he can one day take over the family for his father. Everything changes for him when he meets Sophia not only does he find out that she going to be his wife, but he also feels this pull to her and when they finally get married it seems like they have both found their happy ending even though they both were not looking for one. But just when they think everything is going to something horrible happens that will change their lives and could ruin their happy ending. But Enzo will do everything in his power to make sure Sophia stays his wife forever even if it means that he has to go against his father. This book has some good twists that I did not see coming. If you love mafia books then this is the book for you.

Sophia grew up as the daughter of an Irish mob boss. She was always closer to her father growing up since all her mother cares about is money. She has tried to talk her father into stopping all the violence, but that is just a part of the mafia lifestyle. But now that she is being forced into a marriage for the sake of peace between the Irish and Italian mafias, right after her 18th birthday, all that suddenly changes.

Enzo loves being the son of an Italian mob boss--he grew up with violence and has worked his way up the ranks in his father's mob. To him, being in the mafia is all about violence, power, and women. When he shows up at a meeting and is told that he will be forced to marry for the sake of peace, he's floored to say the least. Not to say that the Irish mob boss's daughter isn't gorgeous with her dark hair and green eyes, but he's definitely not ready to settle down--especially with a woman he's never met and didn't choose for himself. Neither Enzo nor Sophia have a choice in the matter. They are both just people playing parts for the sake of peace, and as the saying goes, the show must go on.

While trying to make the best out of a bad situation, the worst thing happens when Sophia's dad is murdered. What does this mean for the peace that her an Enzo's marriage was supposed to broker? Also, what does it mean for their marriage--will they stay married or is it all over? Many questions abound when the suspense gets into high gear after her father's death. Along with those questions, now they have to figure out who did it, and who can they trust. Should Sophia go back to her family or stick with the man that has promised to always protect her?

This is a great story that will keep you on your toes trying to figure out what's next, while you are guzzling ice water trying to cool off from the intense steamy scenes between Sophia and Enzo! I love how Enzo takes charge even when Sophia is beyond confused with what she should do. Their chemistry is great and you really feel for Sophia going through all that she does at such a young age in such a short period of time. Great book!!

I read the blurb and was really excited for this book. Enzo sounded like he would be quite the dominating man, and their arranged marriage being closer to ownership rather than relationship...Sophia being more of a mafia princess and spoiled daddy's girl. However, this story could not really be further from that. Enzo and Sophia have real chemistry and an attraction that is nearly instant. He's really a big softie and only wants to protect Sophia and keep her safe. While the marriage was arranged for the sake of peace between the families, feelings quickly come into play after saying "I DO". I really liked both Enzo and Sophia. They are great characters with a lot of potential. I was rooting for them and hope that they enjoy an HEA.
I believe that this is the author's debut. This was a great premise with promise, but the follow through really missed the mark for me personally. While I don't want to discourage, the writing was juvenile throughout what I did read. There doesn't seem to have been much research done as far as storyline/plot goes. I have always been a fan of mob movies and documentaries. These characters would never have made it off of the playground due to their lack of professionalism, manner of speech and actions. I was shocked by the way some of the underlings talked to and about the boss as well as what some were willing to do without approval. On the Irish side, the number of men involved to pull off what they did just didn't seem feasible - or the fact that they would go after Sophia. Another disturbing thing - condoms...they aren't discussed and are not used. I know that they are married, but they don't know each other and he readily admits to have slept with a lot of women.
There are many who thoroughly enjoyed this book, so feel free to give it a try, it just wasn't a good fit for me. I believe that additional training and writing development would benefit Emma in the execution of the story telling and enhancing the reader's involvement of the book.

Italian/Irish mafioso stories are some of my favorites, especially when the author ensures all the I’s are dotted and T’s are crossed: tightly woven plots, hard-core characters, steamy sex, unexpected twists and turns, steadily paced story-telling and a dreamy HEA. This genre is blessed with some awfully talented and brilliant storytellers who are masterful writers, so right out of the gate, a novel is confronted with some pretty high expectations.

I like Enzo from the get-go – what woman wouldn’t, really, and as we get to know him, it gets even easier to like him. If there is any surprise, it’s that he’s a lot softer deep down than one might expect from a boss’s son, even though he can see red and end someone’s life at the drop of a hat and quickly gave up his free-wheeling days for his wife from an arranged marriage. Sophia is only 18 when she learns her doting father has made a peace treaty with the Irish mafia, but it means she’s getting hitched in a month to the Italian mob enemy’s boss’s son. The story is certainly promising, but it could have benefited from stronger plot development and in-depth mob scenarios, in addition to more realistic, thought-out dialogue between Enzo and Sophia. The scenes keep the story moving, but perhaps not as steadily as it could – and their conversations almost seem too basic and carefree, almost immature (unrealistic, perhaps?). Some scenes also seemed a bit too short and/or cut-and-dried, such as the scene where Sophia’s mom escapes with some unknown guy and it just sort of gets…blown off. I did keep reading because I did want to learn how Enzo and Sophia fared as a couple. The angst and drama never felt truly threatening, and issues were almost resolved too easily with no build-up.

This book has received a lot of exemplary reviews so I’m chalking up my harshness to it simply being a difference of opinion in what I like for writing styles. Enzo still gets an A+ in my book, though, even though I found it a bit shallow for a true mafia romance.

I rated this book 3.5 stars out of 5.

So a bad boy mafia romance combines two things I love, bad boy books and mafia books, so I was very excited for this, especially after reading the Ruthless People series.
HOWEVER. And that's a big however. I had many issues with this storyline.
To start: the characters. Enzo and Sophia. Oh boy. Enzo is Italian. With an Italian name, in the Italian mafia. Funny that. Sophia is Irish. With an Italian name. Related to the Irish mafia. Okay that's odd. Her name should be Irish to begin with, it's weird otherwise. But she's not the only one. There's an Italian named Liam which funnily enough is an Irish name. See my point here? Names are important to the story, be it meaning or country of origin. Country of origin is very important in mafia books.
Second issue. Enzo is a bad boy. But is he? Being in the mafia does NOT grant you bad boy. Being sweet and kind and loving in the mafia still makes you sweet and kind and loving. Occupation does not a bad boy make!

On a plus the cover was really good. And the sex scenes.

Honestly. This book just confused me. I think more effort needed to be put into research and character development. But the plot was semi okay - it could also use some work.

But yeah, if you like misleading titles and blurbs this one is for you. If you don't like it when the blurb is better than the book, stay away. You'll just end up annoyed.

There is something about a Romeo and Juliet themed Mafia romance that just sucks me in. This book did that effortlessly. Our H is Enzo Carbone and our h is Sophia Murphy.

Sophia Murphy is the daughter of the boss of the Irish Mob. While she loves her father, she fears for his and her safety. She describes her mother as a passive woman that only cares about money. That insures that she is closer to her father. She is almost 18 and plans to leave this life of fear and chase her own dreams. The day before her birthday, that dream crashes to the ground. Her father is marrying her off to Enzo Carbone, the son of the Italian Mafia boss and her family's enemy.

Enzo Carbone is the son of the Italian Mafia boss. He quit school at 15 and was given a high up captain position. For 5 years he has spent his time molding his crew into the most powerful crew. When Enzo is told to go meet with his father he is shocked to see Patrick Murphy standing there. He learns that he is to marry Patrick's daughter, Sophia, in a part of the peace treaty.

Will the peace treaty hold? Will Sophia be safe with Enzo? Will he be able to protect her? You have to read to find out. This was an enjoyable first book by this author. I look forward to reading more.

This is SUCH an amazing story. There is the Mafia angle, the rivalry between the Irish Mafia and the Italian Mafia. The Dons of each crime family together create a plan to establish a peace treaty between them by marrying the Irish Princess, Sophia to Enzo, the Italian Prince. Neither the bride nor the groom was consulted in this decision and only learned of their fate a few days before the wedding. The shock of these two pawns and the feeling of betrayal they feel makes this an exciting adventure. Although they are secretly attracted to each other, their minds are conflicted and their hearts are confused with wild emotions. So how these two characters deal with these thoughts and feelings is delicious. Of course, the other angle is the nature of the crime families themselves. One of the Dons is murdered and the resulting power vacuum generates a whirlwind of greed, lust for power and treason. This provides plenty of action to spice up the mystery. Kidnappings, evil agendas, violent confrontations and especially the final grand stand off keeps one captivated and oblivious to the passing of time. This book is about Sophia, an Irish mob Princess who is about to turn eighteen, and Enzo, an Italian Don's son who is high up in the organization, who are forced to marry in order for peace to coexist between the two families. Sophia and Enzo both resent the forced marriage but eventually on their wedding day decide to have fun and get along. Just when everything seems to be going well Sophia's father is murdered and everything fall's apart. People who are supposed to be on Sophia's side betray her and Enzo saves her life. I liked the fast paced action in this book and I liked that Enzo wasn't afraid to do what needed doing. Enzo was well written and a yummy bad boy who you just wanted to take a turn with. He was very protective of Sophia and he respected his guys and their opinions. Sophia was a little naive and unsuspecting of everybody's motives around her. Together they made a very interesting couple and I loved that. I hope the next book is about Enzo's best friend, Diego, because I would love to read more about him and the families. This is the first time I have read a book by this author and was very pleasantly surprised at how well the book was written, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. What you will find in this book is drama, suspense, intrigue, action, an arranged political wedding, a forced wedding, Irish Mafia, Italian Mafia, two domineering fathers, a peace treaty, shock, frustration, crude talk, distress, emotions, a wedding, betrayal, a father's murder, inside job, threatened, attempted abduction, a friends betrayal, guns blazing, offer to buy wife, arranged meeting with mother, abducted, a mother's betrayal, beaten, a rescue, shooting, leaving, LA, a baby, a job, lust, emotional feelings, love and erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written. The characters are quite well developed with emotional feelings according to the situation they find themselves in. I would recommend this book to people who like to read a well written Bad Boy Mafia Romance with a HEA. I look forward to more from this author.

Great book

This was a really good book. I liked the plot and characters. I just felt like I was missing something. Sophia and Enzos marriage was arranged by their fathers Sophias dad the head of the Irish mafia Enzos head of the Italian. This marriage was supposed to bring peace to the families but that night her dad was murdered. Not sure who to trust and what to do she keeps putting herself in bad situations but Enzo saves her repeatedly. They both wind up falling in love with each other but are afraid to admit to their feelings. Eventually things come to a head and each must make choices. Again this was a really good book I just feel there wasn't enough build up of their relationship for them to have fallen in love with each other. I felt they didn't know anything about each other before they decided they loved each other but that's my opinion and shouldn't deter you from reading this because it really was a good book. Enzo was a great alpha bad boy and Sophia though not weak was a good Irish mafia leaders quiet daughter.

This is unlike any other Mafia book I have read. AND I freaking loved it. You not only have the Irish Mafia but Italian mafia as well.

Wanting to bring peace between the two families they arrange a marriage of the leaders children Enzo and Sophia. Not wanting to like each other from the first day they met they cannot deny the attraction they have to one another. Even after the wedding day that continues to grow. When tragedy strikes Sophia will she be able to believe what Enzo tells her or will she run right into the arms of danger? What do you do when everything you thought you knew about your life ends up being only half truths?

Can Enzo and Sophia make a sham of a wedding into something more or will they part ways after so serious events happen?

This book will seriously pull you in from the first few pages and not spit you back out until the very very end. Even then you will still be wanting more and not wanting this book to end.

Your Mine: A Bad Boy Mafia Romance by Emma Spring

5 Stars for Intense Action
5 Stars for those OMG moments
5 Stars for the Steam levels

This books starts out gripping you from the first chapter till the explosive ending. From dreams being slashed, arranged marriage, then murder then attempted kidnapping, and that's not even halfway through the story.
You have the Irish Mafia and the Italian Mafia, whatever could go wrong. A freaking lot!!
To say this is a must-read doesn't do it justice.
It is a NEED TO READ!!!

Enzo and Sophia might have been thrown together under false pretenses but throughout the story a beautiful Love Story develops. And it so so good.

Recommend mature readers, strong language and sexual scenes.

The idea that your entire life would fall apart in the blink of an eye is more than Sophia can understand. At least that is how she feels when she is told she will be marrying someone she has never met and who belongs to the Italian mob. Of course, she belongs to the rival Irish and her dad is the head of that snake. Even her first meeting with Enzo is full of surprises since he had no idea what was going on when his father called him to the meeting either. Two people sacrificed in the name of peace. Or so it is thought.

Violence, betrayal, deception, action, language, and sexual content are not meant for the underage. However, if you like your stories with grit, you'll want to read this. I received this as an ARC read for an honest review. I can definitely recommend this for those who love a HEA with more twists than a rollercoaster. Some of the deep dips will absolutely leave your heart in your throat. When all else is lost...turn to the one who is always there for you.

The storyline had me intrigued from the beginning. 2 crime families hoping to make peace by arraigning a marriage between the mob bosses kids. Enzo Carbone and Sophia Murphy are to be wed without even knowing each other, all for the sake of a treaty between the Italian and Irish mobs. They both feel an instant physical attraction, but neither believes it could ever be anything more. After the wedding, Sophia's father is killed. The question is who did it? Who should Sophia trust, her new husband or her Irish mob family?
The overall story is good, but I wanted so much more. The chemistry between the characters is there, but I felt like I was watching a PG movie and hoping for an R. The wording used to describe their sex just seemed very juvenile.
I would recommend the book to someone looking for an easy light read.

Good read, mob vs mob and a wedding

This was the first time I have read anything by this author. I was offered an Arc, but didn't use it, I bought it. I can't wait to see how this author grows.
Overview. Sophia is the daughter of Patrick the Irish mob boss. He pulls some strings and is making his daughter marry the son of the Italian mob. Enzo is the Italian mob bosses son.
