Jack Von is a football star with too much time on his hands during the off season. He has one chance to make it big. He will need to do something to cement his legacy.
Jack is reckless and cares for no one but himself. He sees his future bright with his name in lights. Stardom is his reward for hard work.
Samantha wanted a family. No prospects. She had an idea. Never thought it would lead to the doorstep of Jack. She is highly independent with her own interior decorating company. A child was missing from her life. Her biological clock was ticking.
Jack never suspected that his past would come back. He was young and impressionable with visions of a family that he didn’t have. Not much time to think about it. This girl that he knew briefly will change everything.
Samantha doesn’t want to be a burden. Sees his lifestyle and decides to keep quiet. She’s not sure what kind of father he will make. It’s time to put him through some simple psychological tests.
Jack likes what he sees. He wants to see more. He doesn’t see the writing on the wall.
Samantha knows that he is a work in progress. Juggling work and her newfound responsibility will take its toll emotionally and physically. His callous behavior will be his ultimate downfall. Can they find what they have both been waiting for? Love and sex don’t necessarily go hand in hand.

Definitely not the best work by Amy Kyle that I've read. Not well written. Not sure if this is a pre-edited version but tons of mistakes. Way to many to overlook. Don't count this author out though, she has other books that are quite good. Maybe this is one of her earlier writings. I know I've read this story somewhere else before but it was somewhat different and better written.
Just figured out where I've read this story before. It's The Wide Receiver's Baby also by Amy Kyle. Much better than Filthy Catcher! FC must be an earlier version.
So sorry I spent time reading this. There was no editing done on it, the storyline jumped all over the place, and it was not a story worth writing about.
I couldn't finish it and I hate not finishing books. The errors I could get past, although quotation errors drive me nuts. :( It was like she was telling you the story instead of showing it. If that makes sense.
