James Hardy is all about his wife Mandy – even more than usual thanks to their recent scare. That’s why when a job comes up on a newly launched cruise ship line, he only agrees to take it if she can be part of the fun. In fact, James makes sure it’s a family affair – with his parents staying behind to take care of the baby, but everyone else going along for the trip of a lifetime. While everyone worries about Mandy and James keeping to themselves, trouble comes calling in the form of blood on the deck and a missing singer. The Hardys aren’t technically in charge, so they have to follow the rules set forth by their new employer. Their biggest problem is that they have no proof of wrongdoing and their normal investigative tactics don’t work in a contained environment. Between an investigation that seems to be going nowhere and James’ “special” surprises for Mandy, things don’t remain calm and collected for long. That’s on top of the fact that Grady’s determined to propose to Sophie – just as soon as he figures out the best way to do it and finds his lagging courage. It’s not all fun and games, though. There’s plenty of food, drinks, and frolicking – and don’t forget about the sharks – but there’s also a murderer on board (even if the Hardys can’t technically prove it). By the end of the trip, every question will be asked and answered. The only thing left in limbo is everyone’s safety. Will everyone set sail for happily ever after, or is someone going to be left behind?
the couple are on a working vacation and still recovering from the tumultuous recent past while dealing with possible murder on board a cruise ship and a few suspicious characters ....
This book is set on a cruise ship. James has got a new client and he decides to take Mandy with him. It ends up being a family affair except for the baby who is looked after by James's parents. James and Mandy are very clingy to each other and spend a lot of time together. Grady is troubled by this dependency. Its understandable after what happened in the last book. The aftereffects of what occurred still felt by them. They try to resolve their issues in this book. During the trip, some blood is found But no body. James and his brothers can't do anything as they aren't in charge. They still try to investigate. When the crime and culprit is revealed then it sends shockwaves through all. I never would have guessed this person to be the culprit. It was shocking.
The Hardy Brothers are working on a new cruise ship, double checking the systems put in place by the company holding the contract. Part of the deal means that not only do the men go but partners too..
So it's a Hardy working holiday and as usual there's a few odd characters about.. if that was all they had to contend with then James would be a happy man but Mandy and he are still coming to terms with Heidi's death and her abduction.. the couple have a lot to work through but a trip to visit sharks might just help them fix it!
When the ship's singer disappears and can't be found they realise that not only are there holes in the security team but several key crew members appear to have rather dodgy pasts. It's going to be a sad result when they get to the bottom of it all..
And there was one....I honestly can't wait. I was kind of hoping James and Mandy change their mind about the baby thing....just because I want to see them as mum and dad..hilarious
Of course, the romantic working cruise had a murder and a completely unexpected murderer. But Mandy and James spent most of the cruise getting up to some pretty funny hijinks.
Hard to believe this is the second to last book of the series! As usual, it was fantastic. It definitely had a little bit of a lighter feel compared to the last one, and I liked watching Mandy and James work through the aftermath of the kidnapping. While all of the couples were involved, Mandy and James did have a little more focus than the rest. I loved Sophie and Grady, but I just wish we could have heard what was said during that last scene since it has been such a long time coming! Overall another excellent story!
Awesome story! Can't wait for the next. Great add to the series! Keeps getting better and better! These guys are hilarious, emotional and fun of twist and turns!
