The Breakup Support Group

Rate this book
After four years of first love bliss, Isla Rush just got dumped.

Any hope she has of winning her ex-boyfriend back is shattered when the town rezones her neighborhood, forcing her to spend senior year at a wealthy high school in the next town over.

With a broken heart consuming her soul, Isla can’t focus on anything, except maybe Emory Underwood—a ridiculously hot guy who dates a new girl almost every day. She can’t help but crush on him, even though it’s wrong.

When memories of her ex make her cry in second period, the school counselor sends Isla to a club that meets during lunch. The Break-Up Support Group is a collection of broken-hearted misfits who are all helping each other heal.

Just when Isla’s heart is finally on the mend, Emory shows up, forced to atone for all the broken hearts he’s caused over the years. While hiding her massive crush, she helps him understand the seriousness of breaking a heart.

In turn, Emory offers to help Isla get back on the dating scene by agreeing to be her fake date for the homecoming dance. Isla gladly accepts the ruse, because if anyone can make her into a desirable girlfriend, Emory can! There's just one small problem.

Isla's little crush on Emory might be exactly full blown. And a homecoming fake date with him could push her over the edge to possibly uttering the "L Word!"

Isla can't afford another heartbreak so soon after the last one. She will have to resist his charms, refuse to look into those dreamy eyes, and above all else, not make the mistake of letting him kiss her.

If only she hadn't let her guard down at the end of the night, under the light of her porch in a toe-curling kiss moment of weakness. And now, after months of Break-Up Support Group therapy, and with a heart fully on the mend, Isla has just handed it over to a guy who knows full well just how to break it.

First Impression:
I would read anything of Cheyanne Young, she could write it on a paper towel and I would read it because I love her writing, I love her characters and I always lover her stories. This was no different, I really liked the idea of this books, I think a Breakup Support Group sounds amazing, high schools should actually have one. This was a great fun read. So, so cute and I honestly love the cover.
The Story & The Characters:

The story was fun and heartbreaking, you really felt for Isla and what she is going through because I am pretty sure we all have been in the same place at some point.
Isla was a super cute characters and I really liked how she handled her break up and the steps she took to overcome her heartbreak.
Emory was adorable, such a cutie in my head and I loved the chemistry between him and Isla, they seems perfect for each other.
I had only wished Isla was able to prove to her ex she was ok, I sort of was hoping for redemption but I am really honestly glad how things worked out for her.

Final Thoughts:
Over all I really enjoyed this book, Cheyanne never disappoints and I love everything she writes. I highly recommend for a cute, fun read about heartache and healing. Fun book for YA's and Adults.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my review.

Have a great day and Happy Reading!

Isla has to change schools. They've rezoned her neighborhood and she's destined to go to a much bigger and richer school for her senior year. It means she has to leave all of her friends behind, including her boyfriend. Because of this he dumps her after four years of being together. Isla is grieving and she can't care less about her new school and making friends. She is so unhappy that she has a breakdown at school and that is why the school counsellor advises her to join the Breakup Support Group. It's for students with broken hearts and Emory, who is the school's heartbreaker.

Emory doesn't have problems finding dates and as he isn't looking for anything steady he often changes his girls, which is exactly why he has to attend group meetings, so he can see what his victims feel like after he dumped them. Isla develops a small crush on Emory, but she doesn't want to be heartbroken again. That's why Emory is just helping her in a friendly and fake way to slowly start dating. Is this really a good plan?

The Breakup Support Group is a great story about what it's like to be dumped. Even though the topic might sound sad the story is pretty lighthearted. There are tears, but there's plenty of fun as well. Isla is a sweet and smart girl, but she's always been in someone's shadow and never had a chance to shine. She has no caring loyal friends and changing schools might be exactly what she needs. Emory thinks everything is entertaining, but he also has a sensitive side. He tries to make Isla feel welcome, which is pretty cute. He's flirty and charming and he's also kind and attentive. Emory and Isla have an interesting connection and I enjoyed reading about their developing friendship.

Cheyanne Young has written an insightful story about a topic that a lot of people can relate to. I loved that she's chosen to write about heartbreak in such an open and honest way and the conversations between the main characters are amazing. There's hope, there are plenty of hugs and there's pizza, which creates a fantastic atmosphere. Because of that I instantly liked The Breakup Support Group. It's a clever, amusing story with a lot of interesting twists and turns.

I tend to read late at night when the moon is high and the house is quiet. I had the rare opportunity to start The Breakup Support Group during the day and there went the afternoon. It was one of those books I couldn't put down because I was pulled right into the story and the lives of the characters. I HAD to know what was going to happen. Author Cheyanne Young has the amazing talent of holding the reader in the palm of her hand with an intense curiosity about what the main character, Isla, (and the other characters too) do next?

Isla was strong and resolved, but she'd been with her former boyfriend for four years and sometimes that can feel like forever. I worried about her decision-making and her heart being broken again. My heart bled for her at times. Although she grew during the story, she also started with a solid foundation and was definitely a girl I'd like to be friends with. She liked boys, but wasn't overly tied up in her need for them, which was also refreshing.

Young captured the intensity of being the new girl at high school and the uncertainty of the unfamiliar perfectly. There were also funny moments: Mr. Wang--hilarity. And growl worthy ones: Mrs. Olsen--grrr. As for the actual Break Up Support Group: I loved how they took Isla in immediately. In fact, I felt like they'd take me in even if I didn't have a broken heart. Amidst the mean girls (especially Emory's fans) and that trope in YA fiction in general, it was so refreshing to read about big (though broken)-hearted kids. Ciara was my favorite, especially with the nail polish addiction. They reminded me of the Breakfast Club in a way, but less 80s, not so jaded, and definitely on each other's side.

My favorite quote: "I swear the thing doesn't beat right since it was broken..."

My other favorite quote: "I don't know how to be in love...Maybe you could teach me."

I absolutely adored this story. It hit all the YA notes; it was sweet, intense at times, emotional, fun, and there were some top notch swoony moments. BUSG is one of my fall favorites!

I LOVED this story. Isla is every teenage girl. After her boyfriend of 4 years breaks her heart Isla is devestated. To make matters worse, she's forced to start at a new school due to a change in zoning laws. Now Isla has to start all over without Nate. The problem is, she has no idea WHO she is without Nate. And the journey to her finding out is SO.Much.Fun.

She joins the Breakup Support Group (fair warning: You WILL crave pizza when reading about these meetings) and Bastian, the group leader, is a sophomore in a middle aged therapist's body. I loved him so much. His advice and assignments help guide the group. The entire group all has their own story to tell and their own heart to mend.

When Isla meets Emory Underwood, Granite Hills High heartbreaker (who attends meetings as a way to repent for all the hearts he's broken) Isla finds she's falling hard for him. And how can you not fall for Emory!?! Their chemistry sizzles off the page and I rooted for them every step of the way. I adored Isla's journey of self-discovery. This story was a blast, the characters were rich and layered, and I'm so excited to read Cheyanne Young's next book!

So cute!! Accurately depicts the devastation of the first heartbreak.
I loved the idea of a school sanctioned break up support club--sheer genius. It was nice for the administration to acknowledge that teenagers who are emotionally wrecked need a safe place to share their feelings and not simply condescend to them by saying it's a high school fling, get over it and focus on your studies instead.
If real life schools admit the fact that mental health days are needed, a lot of students would perform better at schools.
The budding romance was so sweet and adorable it made my teeth ache (in the best way!)
The supporting characters were hilarious and made the book even better for me.

I think I am too old for this book (?!!). I don’t know!! I couldn’t get into it and I really hoped for some cute high school story where the girl gets over her broken heart without falling for another guy.. It got really irritating when on one hand she was crying over her break up, on the other she is lusting over Emory simultaneously!!

I really enjoyed Cheyanne Young’s The Last Wish of Sasha Cade, so I was really looking forword to this one.. Anyways… This was just not my cup of tea..

⇝My Thoughts⇜

This is a super cute read for a preteen girl or any girl looking to get over being dumped by some boy. Did I feel this was something that might occur or happen in real life, probably not…but the life lessons TBSG is trying to impart are present and for the most part, solid.
I read this mostly because of reading challenge I'm doing where I needed Character names, and it really scored on that front for me. With both a I name for female with Isla Rush and U Name for Male with Emory Underwood. Sometimes, reading challenges get me into some fairly awful books and this one wasn't one of those…it was an easy breezy read.

Isla Rush could not be happier- she has the love of Nate, her boyfriend of 4 years, her popularity and her senior year all planned out. But then something unexpected happens and her school has been rezoned, sending Isla to a completely different high school away from the nice, safe world she knows. To make matters worse, Nate dumps her because it is easier than dating someone who goes to a different school. Isla’s world has come crashing down- leading her to the broken-hearted support club…and Emory.

I was so incredibly uncomfortable for Isla while reading the first half of the book. This girl needed an intervention, hard! The fact she texted Nate daily regardless of his lack of response made me want to grab her phone and hide it. They way she begged him not to break up with her at the party made me leery, but then her response to his request made me cheer and hope she would power through… Unfortunately, she had desperation and despair down to an art and I was very afraid that she would never come back to herself- thank goodness for her new friends! It was so easy to see that Isla was not really a person when the story started, but kind of a shell that was created to please her ridiculous boyfriend Nate- seriously, all her activities were either to make him stuff or support his football team (even her “friends” were conditional on Nate). As someone who spent all 4 years of high school with the same person, I understand how easy it would be to fall into the role of “girlfriend” instead of an individual. I will admit that I was a little disappointed that she didn’t find new hobbies or learn more about herself throughout the book away from her safe Nate world, it just kind of seemed that she pretty much just went to school, did homework and had support club.

I know this is a teen romance, but it would have been great if she had stayed single for a while longer (or actually all the book) and she and Emory could have just been good friends that helped the other grow, but alas that is not how romances go. I was a little confused how she was heart-broken over Nate yet still really wanted Emory- it seemed too fast for the level of upset she was experiencing. I enjoyed Emory as a character, completely himself all the time, upfront about what he wanted, even if girls didn’t believe him. And his actions at the end of the book were pretty swoony and heroic (even though I would have preferred she saved herself
-or not been in that situation to begin with!). I did really like that Emory and she became friends before any sort of romance occurred (on his part), actually getting to know and like the other person with no expectations (or special snowflake ideas). I think that it helped that she was herself with him, not trying to impress, no special outfit, makeup or actions to really let him get to know who she was. Speaking of great friend relationships, I loved the support group kids and the dynamic between them all- once they were introduced I could not put the book down! Here is a group of strangers that came together to heal and help others heal and they were better, more supportive friends than any of the kids she knew for years. I think this misfit group of kids was the best thing to happen to Isla- she needed to be shaken out of her complacency and experience life.

As a side note, this book should come with a warning label that it may cause uncontrollable pizza cravings! At every lunch meeting of the support group they ate pizza (with delicious description included!) and I had to order a pizza by the time I was finished with this book, the urge could not be fought. If you don't like pizza... well, then you may need to consult with a medical professional to get to the bottom of that issue (hehe, teasing -to each their own).

Overall I found this to be a cute fast read, perfect for a rainy day when you need a cute, light pick-me-up!

The Breakup Support Group follows Isla Rush through her experience with her first heartbreak after getting dumped. She hopes to be able to reconnect with her ex-boyfriend at school, but the town decides to rezone her neighborhood, forcing her to go to a new school.

➳ Not going to lie, I thought this book was going to suck. It just looked... cheesy to me, but still, something compelled me to pick it up. I'm glad I decided to give it a shot though, I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I was going to!

Considering I am normally someone who reads very heavy novels, it was nice to take a little break with this light, fun, fluffy, but still heartbreaking at times, contemporary romance written by Cheyanne Young. I will be checking out more of her works down the road, that's for sure!

Isla is starting a new high school her senior year. She has also just gotten dumped by her jerk boyfriend after 4 years. Life cannot get much worse. After having a few breakdowns in class, her guidance councilor suggest that she try The Breakup Support Group. Sitting around listening to a bunch of strangers will not help her get over the love of her life? Or will it? There is also the handsome Emory who seems to be there every time she turns around. Will Isla finally open up to the group or spend her senior year miserable and heartbroken?

This is just the book that I needed to pull me out of my reading slump. A fun and quick read about first love and what happens after. The Breakup Support Group is a new and fun concept to YA literature. How many of us wish we had this kind of support group when we were in high school? The characters are well written and very likable. Isla is such a strong character who needs a little help with all the changes going on in her life. Emory is a wonderful friend who may want more. Cheyanne Young did a really wonderful job writing this book and developing the characters. This is a fun quick read that you should read now!

3.5- rounding to 4 stars for rating purposes.

I picked this up because I read a review in my timeline that described this as a box of yummy chocolates. Despite the themes of break ups it was said to be light and cute and I really needed that as so many of the other books I've managed to pick up have been too heavy.

This was just as it was described. Honestly, it wasn't anything unique or surprising. But that was a good thing right now. I need something uncomplicated, unsurprising and easy breezy.

I'll say that I don't usually enjoy the heartbreaker boy types of heroes. I think because I didn't take the book too seriously it didn't bother as much in this book. Overall it does have a pretty easy feel to it. I might have liked it more than usual because it was a right book at the right time kind of thing.

Cheyanne Young masterfully captures the highs and lows of high school life, not to mention the trials and tribulations of high school heartache in The Breakup Support Group. It's a relatively simple story line: girl dates popular boy for four years, girl is forced to transfer to brand new school at the start of her senior year, boy dumps girl, girl joins support group and falls in love with notorious heart-breaker. Like I said, simple. But therein lies its brilliance, because I haven't heard of anything like this in young adult literature.

Isla Rush is a likable and often times, highly relatable character, although I personally never like to admit feeling vulnerable. I especially never like to admit to feeling heartbroken. I enjoyed her relationship with Emory and for the most part, I found myself rooting for them.

I look forward to reading more from Cheyanne Young (and her alter-ego, Amy Sparling!)

This was a super wholesome and cute read that i loved. I could not put it down. I started it at 12am thinking i would read a chapter or two before bed but now its suddenly 2.30 am and i don't know where that time went.
I really liked Isla. I found her relatable and fin to read. Ceira was probably my favourite character. I loved her nail polish obsession - its small quirks like that that make me love characters. I liked Emory too, he was sweet and adorable underneath his womanising exterior. I wish the characters had a bit more depth to them because despite their endearing small quirks you don't get much background.
I felt like the plot was quite predictable and fell a bit flat at the end. I would have liked if Nate came back and see got to kick him to the curb. Or at least hear that the cheerleader cheated on him or something 😂😂 I dont think there can ever be enough drama in books like this.
Overall it was exactly the kind of book i was in the mood for - funny, heartwarming and romantic. It put a smile on my face and i just really enjoyed reading it.

I just finished reading this book! and it's so good! this is such a swoon-worthy book! from the plot to the cover, from the characters to the flow of events, it is such a good read.

this book made me remember my high school days a lot. which is such a good thing! isn't it amazing when a book just gets you and even makes you think about your own experiences, your mistakes and your choices? i swear, it even made me remember my first heartbreak too!

i love the flow of events in this book. i don't read fast because i feel like i need to digest the book and experience it well. but it kept me wanting to know what will happen next and made me want to read on! i especially love Isla's journey to 'healing' and what comes after that.

the characters are so realistic! I love it when YA book characters are such teenagers. the kind that made me realize that this was soooo me when I was a teenager. because there are some books where teenagers are so profound and full of wisdom that i feel like they are not real kids. but this book shows every teenage quirk, angst and drama in each character. Isla definitely has those! i also love the characters in the breakup support group! i especially like Bastian! i feel like he is so funny and adorable if he were a real person!

the love story though! augh! so good! i just can't help but root for Isla and her step to a new love. the love interest, Emory, makes me want to smack him but it went away in the ending! LOL! i like the stages of their feelings and the way things ended.

I love the idea of the support group. it was nice to imagine a real support group and how they really come up with ideas to help a person. it's adorable! this is my favorite quote from the book: "We're people with heart, with a desire to share our lives with someone who loves us just as much as we love them." it just epitomizes the support group and i just love that.

like i said, i love the people in the support group. i was hoping to see some of the other's healing process too. i know that this is Isla's story, but I would love to read each of their stories too.

i really found this book amazing! my thoughts are just so full that i can't even lay these thoughts into words. it gave me the feels. it made me remember the struggles of teen love. it made crave for true love. it made me laugh at my teen self in a good way. augh! it's just really good. i really hope that i had this kind of support system during my first heartbreak too.

Congratulations to Cheyanne Young for writing such a promising and realistic book! I love every bit of it. and thank you for giving me an ebook copy. i really appreciate it.

I received an Advance Reader Copy from the author. This in no way impacted on my view.

This book I first saw on twitter, and was offered the chance of reviewing it by the author. In The Breakup Support Group, there is just that - a breakup support group. Isla has been dumped after 4 years, and now she is forced to go to a different school for her senior year due to a rezoning in her town. She had hoped to be able to get back together with her boyfriend, but now that they aren't at the same school, she thinks it'll be difficult. After breaking down on one of her first days at school, the counsellor sent her to a support group for other teens struggling with break ups, and the guy she's now crushing on, and who seems to be with a new girl every week, turns up too. It ends up that Emory is more that just what he seems, and they are really good together. He wants to help her get over her heartbreak, and uses his persona and bad boy attitude to bring her onto the scene at school. The only issue is that her crush has turned into something more, and she's at risk of having her heart broken all over again.

This book was just really enjoyable. Isla is funny and real, and the Break Up Support Group was dead supportive. At her old school, she did have friends and that, but none that seemed to really care about her, and all dropped her when she started at the new school. The new group of friends though, and Emory in particular, do seem to care about her, and she's embraced by all.

The romantic aspect of this book, that was one of the biggest parts, was really well done. The chemistry between Isla and Emory was off the charts. Their friendship was developed naturally, and I loved that they were proper friends first, before it came to romance. I felt like this made it more realistic, and I believed in their relationship more that I would've done without them being friends. I definitely liked Cheyanne's writing style, and will read more from her again.

Overall Rating 4.5 Stars

-Book Description: 2.5

-Cover: 4.5

-Plot: 4

-Creativity: 4

-Grammar: 4

-Simile Use: (little to none)

-Description: 4.5 (well-balanced)

The cover of The Breakup Support Group and my experience with other novels by Cheyanne Young were the reason I decided to pick up this book. I must say that the description just wasn't too my liking, it was far too long. In my opinion, descriptions shouldn't be more than one to two paragraphs long. They should be short and sweet and pull you in quickly so you know if you have to buy the novel. Lengthy book description aside, this book delivers heartbreak, healing and growing up at a realistic Upper Young Adult level. Even in my mid-twenties, I could relate to some of the things Isla went through-- from changing schools and your friends deciding you're not worth the time, to trying to fit in at that new - huge school. I went through those things myself, and Young captured the emotions that go along with that. She also captured the emotions of an intense breakup and gave great diversity to her characters. Emory was that guy you love to hate -- but you know there has to be something deeper to what's going on -- and there is! It was great to see both Emory and Isla mature throughout the novel and then finally admit how they feel and the reasons why. Overall, a swoony young adult read with the perfect balance of romance, laughter, and well-balanced description. Another great novel from Cheyanne Young!

4.5 stars~ another great YA contemporary romance from this author! I throughly enjoyed this book. The ending seemed a tad abrupt but ONLY because I loved the characters so much I didn't want it to end! I want more of their story! (Please write a novella or a sequel?;) I'm fairly picky when it comes to contemporary romance as I usually prefer paranormal or fantasy ones, but this book was a total win for me. The premise was new and endearing, not the same recycled teen angst or forbidden love that can get old and cliché very fast. The characters were very likable with great chemistry.

It's definitely a fun, addictive read that will give you the warm fuzzies (instead of leaving you devastated and crying -drowning your sorrows in a tub of ice cream!

I really enjoyed this well-written young adult romance that centered on teens dealing with the pain from breakups. The main character, Isla, goes through some especially tough times as she tries to stumble on after the end of a four-year relationship. She finally gets help through a support group at her new school. I loved this group--the kids in it, the teacher in the background, the way they challenged each other to move on. There's also a swoony boy. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the swoony boy. ;-) And the promise of new beginnings. A great read!

The Break Up Support Group is an adorable sweet young adult romance! I really loved reading this book and had so much fun.

The book starts with Isla Rush who pretty much has it all. She has a great boyfriend, set of friends, and has a great high school life. Until, the big rezoning happens. She has to transfer to her rival high school for her senior year. And, her boyfriend, Nate, of three years breaks up with her. Now, everything Isla has is gone and she has to rebuild herself. However, there is one Mr. McHottie, Emory Underwood, who makes her heartbeat and swoon. Aaand, he is a heartbreaker and a big player.

Isla is the main narrator of the novel. She is spunky, fun, and feisty. Isla in the beginning is a character who I did not really like in the beginning. I felt that her life revolved around her boyfriend and she had no backbone. However, I still kept on reading on because I knew this girl had so much potential and boy my expectations were met. Isla’s character growth is phenomenal in this book. She develops her own identity and uses her heartbreak of her douche boyfriend to start up her own support group. And that is when Isla is super fun. The entire interactions between her and Emory is really nice. They have such amazing chemistry and banter. But there is one big problem, Emory is a heartbreaker.

Emory is the hero of the book. I have got to say like Isla I did not warm up much to him. However, his actions and growth like Isla made me want to read the book more and more. He does have really deep issues. As the book goes on, I love seeing more and more of his true self. This boy is super sweet and all around nice guy. You just have to look deeper.

The entire romance  in this book is a big focus but really builds up nicely. It is slow and there is gradual growth. I love that Emory and Isla started out as friends. Then they started turning into something more. There were moments when I was reading that I knew that Emory was in love with Isla. I just wanted them to go for it. But when they finally did it was awesome.

The plot line and creativity in this book is really unique. I have seen many support break up groups kinds of satires or boys versus girls things. But Young did a great job not making the characters way too stereotypical high school and annoying. The side characters were such fun people. Isla’s friends from her previous high school are horrible jerks along with her boyfriend. And Mr. Wang, her teacher, and the overall concern and love of the school staff is amazing. Young did a great job also incorporating the family theme into this book. Isla’s parents play a role in her life and are very supportive.

Overall, this was a great read. I really did enjoy reading this sweet YA romance! I loved that it was clean and not steamy.

I won a $10 Amazon card from one of Brenda Drake's giveaway. I used it to buy this book because I really wanted to read this. I signed up for the cover reveal of The Breakup Support Group October last year and I fell in love with the blurb. So, thank you again, Brenda Drake because I finally got my hands on this book.

So, it turned out I did not just fall in love with the blurb. The story was really swoon-worthy. I wanted to join their support group even though my soul is more broken than my heart. To be honest, the story is not so extraordinary but what made it appealing and so spellbinding is the whole support group. Without the presence of the support group this would be just another love story. But with the support group, it took the story to another level and gave it more depth and made it unforgettable. Not to mention the very intriguing title. It demands attention and is shouting "Read Me". The title and the whole story is both very clever that I think this is one of the most captivating, amusing and easy YA romance stories I have read this year. This is an absolute inspirational romance.

Emory Underwood is absolutely a book boyfriend to die for. Emory...what a lovely name. It feels so right to say it. Brooding and mysterious. Exactly my type of guy. Aaahhhh. I felt like a teenager again reading this. I imagined I was Isla. I could totally be her. It was so easy to get lost in her character and channel in the qualities that made Emory so drawn to her. This is a kind of story that I would want to read again and again just to feel better if I feel down and lonely. This will in a way make me cry but at the end will have me smiling from ear to ear. My heart will be pounds lighter. Just to remind you, I don't really do re-reads. I only do if they are incredibly remarkable. This one is.

I give this 5/5 pans of pizza or let's just have a pizza party. Let's celebrate because this book could just be what you need. This will take your worries away. Not too heavy on the drama but very uplifting and hopeful. An easy yet very satisfying read that will have you high and floating on cloud nine. I certainly dreamed of my own Emory right after reading this. And I was in high spirits when I woke up the next day remembering this fantastic story. This book is definitely the answer or the cure to all broken hearts or even broken spirits like mine.

But I see now that waiting for a true love is exactly what the movies want you to think it is--a fairy tale.

Isla Rush was such a fun character. Her plight of moving schools away from people she knew was exactly what I felt when I went to a different high school than all of my friends. I was lost and knew maybe three people at the school. I was one of the new kids but like Isla I quickly made new friends. I loved how she was portrayed and her fiery quick wit and her thoughts and feelings when she was with Emory. She talks about really issues like living under someone’s shadow and parents pushing her to be something she is not, both emotions were done beautifully and helped the reader get to know her character.

“Snow is beautiful. Just like you” — Emory Underwoood
I love Emory’s no nonsense thoughts about dating in high school it perfectly contrats Isla’s romantic attitude towards life and her character in general. Even when they were arguing I could feel the attraction between the two characters. I love his nickname for Isla (Snowflake).

The Breakup Support Group are the friends that will stay with you for life. They all are entertaining and fun, but know how to help a friend in need. I loved how they want to help Isla grow from day one. ( And their fun shenanigans were a plus) Yes, they all have their faults and love to tease each other, but when Isla needs them the most they are there for her. Each character was different and gave the group a three dimensional feel.

The ending was amazing I love how both Isla and Emory grew over the course of the book. I felt their relationship was one of the things that really tied the story together.

All in All, this was an amazing Book perfect for fans of Kasie West and Rom Coms.

Thank you to the author and Lola’s Book tours for the review copy! I very much enjoyed this book and will keep an eye for other books like this book.

I would like to thank to the author for giving me an ebook copy in exchange for an honest review.

Full review will be up on my blog soon*

How am I supposed to put into words about how I love this book so much? Hmm Let me put this into a point!

• Isla having a heartbreak of 4 years relationship with Nate.
• Moving into a new school which it's a start of something new for her
• Emotional wreck because of the two events happened in her life
• Joining a Break Up Support Group which she has get to know new friends and eventually become one of her bestfriends!
• Found a new love

I got hook right from the start till the end. I just could not stop reading it. It's so beautiful written by the author. I totally enjoying it to the fullest!

It's feel so good seeing Isla have an amazing parents who always support her no matter what, having a new best friend and there is a guy name, Emory who turns out going to be the most wonderful person for Isla! I'm loving it but can I have more of Emory and Isla's relationship. I want to know the progress they make once they have committed into a relationship.

All in all, it's just what I love to read.

I really loved this book!

So the gist of the story is that Isla has to go to a new school because of rezoning of her neighbourhood and because of that her boyfriend of 4 years dumps her out of the blue. She goes to the new school but she's really depressed and her counselor talks about the breakup support group and encourages her to be a part of the group. How she comes back from her breakup and how the group supports her is the story along with a hint of romance with the guy she's crushing on.

I really loved the dynamics of the group and how Isla took in their advice and actually went through with it. Isla grew as a character and it was refreshing to see that there was no drama at all anywhere.

I could kind of empathize with the reason her ex-boyfriend gave when he broke up with her and you could see that the breakup was imminent.

Overall I really loved this book. This book was one of those books which lingered in my mind after finishing it. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

Coming from Swoon Romance, without a doubt, this story will make you swoon. I made the mistake of taking it on a work night, expecting it to be another OK read and I could hardly bring myself to close the kindle 😉. With Isla, we are also transported to her new school and even though she is quite crestfallen, anticipation and excitement will tingle every fibre of our being. Lectures, gym exercises and homecoming dances ... it's good to be young.
I was not that fond of Isla in the beginning -- she is caring for sure, but it borders on being possessive. Her world revolves around the hunky boyfriend and I was only too glad to get the breaking up point. From the cover blurb, I got the impression that Emory is a pure playboy, but he is not. He possesses a wisdom beyond his ages and I like it how they begin as friends first.
But the best part is that this book is not only about romance. It's also about all things high school and of course, the breakup support group. This was such a novel idea for me and I wish every school had one. It is a unique group of exceptional characters and I hope the author has some stories in mind for others too.
Overall an amazing read you will definitely enjoy these summer days.
