He's a wild rock star. I'm his manager. And he just knocked me up. From the moment I met Drew I knew he was trouble. Of course he was. What kind of notorious playboy rock star isn't? What I didn't know was that he'd consume me, own me, body heart and soul. And when I thought he couldn't want more from me... he got me pregnant. If his fans find out I'm carrying his baby they'll tear me apart. Drew should hate me for putting his reputation on the line. Except... I don't think he does. He keeps saying I'm his now. That the baby he put in me is proof. But will he feel that way when the rest of the world finds out what we've done?
Ex drama. The hero is a arrogant asshole The heroine gets jealous of his freaking groupies that are almost in top of him. I hated the hero when they first have sex he kept asking her if she wanted his co** more than the groupies that she kicked out. I felt like the heroine needed a backbone. I didn't feel any connection between them. Plus I needed to sign up for her newsletter for me to get a extended epilogue?

Penny Wylder is serving us up some sizzling stories!
Now, I personally am not a huge fan of the rock star trope.....the skanky, groupie loving guys just don't do it for me. At the beginning, Drew fit that stereotype in my opinion. The story opens up to him waking not knowing really what day it was, or who he had slept with the night before, if anyone. He says the previous few nights were snippets of "curvy hips and smiling lips"- GAG!
Lucy is Drew's new manager. She has always been a huge fan. Although he was her first crush and she's fantasized about him way too much, she is determined to keep things prefessional. That doesn't last long. She caved like a card table pretty fast!
Once they are together, I don't feel a very huge connection. Maybe it was his arrogant cock-sure attitude. Or maybe the fact she distanced herself from him for months ....I don't know. I just didn't feel it.
-hot rock star hero -ok heroine -steaming hot sexy times -mild pushing away -no cheating -om drama- none -ow drama- -HFN epilogue with an extended epilogue available if you subscribe to authors newsletter. Definitely wished the epilogue was further out.
I am a Penny Wylder fan and although this book wasn't my favorite, I still enjoyed reading it!
This was definitely hot! You can never go wrong with a sexy rock star. I laughed at the way Drew would intensionally make Lucy flustered and angry. His dominating ways were hot and sexy. I would have pooled right a his feet. I just would have liked to know more about his past. A little more drama to spice the story up a little, but even without it, this story is juicy and hard to put down once you start.
While there were some good one-liners and the steamy scenes were hot, I didn't care much for either of the main characters. They went from zero to sixty in five seconds flat and there wasn't a real sense of time, so one scene seemed to just blur into another. Definitely a great short story for readers favoring the musician-loves-regular-girl storyline, but it wasn't my fav.
A fun little quickly to read between heavier books. If you like bad boy rockstars who turn good for the right woman, then this story will be perfect for you!
This quick, steamy and romantic story is a wild and fun ride! Lucy Westmore takes over as the manager of sexy, Rock Star, Drew Avery after his longtime manager passed away unexpectedly. Their first meeting doesn't go well when he mistakes her as a groupie. She soon impresses him with her boldness and ingenuity. Lucy learns that besides being a sexy playboy who can really fill out a pair of jeans, he is focused and works very hard to make his music and shows perfect. She has been infatuated with his voice and commanding presence since she first saw him perform when she was a teen. But this is her chance to prove she is serious about her job and will not give in to her wicked fantasies about him. Drew sees how he affects her and isn't fooled by her denials. He is drawn to her as well and loves toying with her. They soon can't deny their mutual attraction and chemistry. This story may be short but it is multilayered and has a depth that truly satisfies. I really enjoyed this fun and sexy story.
Listen... I don't know what I expected. LMAO but let me tell you, for some reason my mind didn't quite wrap around the title. I put this on my to read list because my friends @Noura read this and I was like, oh okay, if she could get through this, then I probably can.
When I tell you I laughed through this whole thing, I'm serious. And I don't mean the "meant to be humor" laugh. I mean the "this story was fast, dumb, and completely farfetched why am I reading this" laugh. I mean, honestly. I knew it was going to be smutty. And the writing was okay. But it shoulda just been about the fucking, not the random pregnancy thrown in there that doesnt show up till that last couple of pages.
This was bad. It was like softcore porn. Ya know the kind that don't show much, yet they have to have some sort of terrible plot and the bad titles? This should have been called BIG BOOBS RED HEAD FUCKS ROCKER. There was no point for a plot, there shouldn't have even been "I love yous", I just... I don't understand why? WTF. lmaoooo
Found this book by chance it's by far one of the sweetest story i've read by Penny Wylder.
Do not expect originality because we've all read about Rockstar Gods falling for mere mortals but the way the story is presented and the endearingly sweet H is a bit of a surprise (good surprise). You get Drew, a successful rock star who mistook Lucy, the beautiful woman berating him one night as one of his groupies only to realize that she's his new manager. Of course he's smitten, she's trying hard to hide her fangirling (because she wants to be a total professional dammit!) but eventually she fell for the determined rocker.
A quick and enjoyable in between read. Something you'd want to indulge in after reading drama-llama books.
This is a quick, steamy, fun story about a Rockstar who falls hard and fast for his new manager.
Drew Avery, anal retentive Rockstar, has a new manager. He quickly discovers that his new manager isn’t a ‘he’ as expected but rather the very professional Lucy Westmore. Drew is used to getting his way but Lucy has other plans.
It doesn’t take long for the sparks to ignite in the backstage dressing room and for Lucy to confess to her ultra-fan girl status. Lucy soon finds herself in a predicament, she only wants a professional relationship with Drew but after a surprise she’s not sure if she’ll have a job.
This is a quick, enjoyable read with rock star flair! 3.5 Stars
So for some reason this book didnt click with me. Maybe because he was a man ho before meeting the heroine (though that hasnt deterred me before) Or maybe because shes a fangirl turned manager that falls for him like an autumn leaf.. I dont know..I really tried to like it.. I wish the couple had more chemistry and trust than was portrayed. Did not even want to kill the OW much.. Ill continue to read PW thought. This was a miss for me. Safe read 2/5
Lucy Westmore is Drew Avery's new manager. Drew also happens to be the hottest rock star , with whom she has had a secret fanatic crush her since high school days. She must, however, maintain her professionalism and not get carried away. She knew she can do it. Because although she's new, she's been working very hard to be one of the best managers in the industry.
Or so she thought. Because the minute Drew mistook her as one of his groupies, and she got madly indignant , Drew was instantly drawn to his sexy redhead new manager. They couldn't get enough of each other, until the condom broke and she knew that Drew will never sacrifice his lifestyle for her and her baby. And her career was also at risk.
But she was wrong again. Because Drew wanted her to manage not only his career, but his heart and soul as well.
ROCK STARS F#*K HARDER is an explosive rock star romance where a fan, who becomes the manager of her longtime crush rock superstar, becomes the latter's muse, and will love her above and beyond all fame and fortune. This novella was a quick read, and made even quicker because the story was so excitingly good, I couldn't put it down until I reached the HEA. And I even didn't blink until after I read the Epilogue, which I had to sign up for via the author's newsletter.
This is the third Penny Wylder book and I'm thankful to the author for sending me an advanced copy. And this is an honest and fair review of this delightfully wicked book.
My list of automatic one click authors is growing and I'm loving it and Penny Wylder is definitely one of them I just hope she keeps them coming. I feel a little guilty though because I've become obsessed with these short, steamy insta love books that I'm finding it difficult to read an actual full length book I always put it aside when a quicky comes out. Drew Avery started the band Fever Dream back when he was in college and it was just a garage band in his hometown of Las Vegas. After a while they hit the big time and had much success but eventually Drew went off on his own to pursue a solo career. He's a hit as a solo artist also and back in Vegas playing at a casino because he wanted a more intimate venue to perform at. His long time manager who pretty much did everything for him recently died and Drew is waiting to meet his replacement. Lucy is impatiently waiting backstage for her new client who is very late and he still has to do a sound check. She interned for his deceased manager but never had the privilege of meeting Drew. When he sees her backstage he thinks she's a groupie trying to get in his pants so he takes her to his dressing room.
***Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review*** Rockstars F#*k Harder was a fantastic short, wild, and romantic read. Lucy, a straight shooter, is determined to keep things professional between her and her long, time rock star fantasy that is Drew Avery. Hired to be Drew's tour manager, she finds herself unable to resist temptation when his persistence breaks her down. Lucy struggles between having her fantasy come to life and establishing a firm level of professionalism with Drew. Eventually succumbing to Drew's hot body and irresistible ways, she begins to have doubts about what it all could mean. Thrust into a life altering situation, both are set on the path that was meant to be. I thoroughly enjoyed Rockstars F#*k Harder, and really fell in love/lust with Drew. He is the sexy dominant that propels this romance into high gear. And in Lucy lives the ever hopeful, pragmatic that has her world turned upside down. This is definitely a well-rounded read with nothing rushed or unexpectedly clipped for standalone purposes. I'd recommend it to any romance reader.
another amazing book by penny Wylder , I loved her previous 2 books so knew I was going to love this one aswell, I went into it blind I didn't read the blurb I only knew it was about a rockstar because of the name , I knew nothing else but I was not disappointed at all! I absolutely loved drew his slight cockyness was written well n the story progressed nice and quickly , I would have liked to have heard a bit more about his past n some more on his future too , but penny has concluded it well but with a opportunity to write more about them if she wishes which I hope she does , if you haven't read any of penny's books I highly recommend all of them! another easy 5 stars for her books from me *arc received in exchange for an honest review*
I received an arc in exchange for a honest review. I'm so thankful I found Penny Wylder's books as I'm loving them. Rock Stars F#*k Harder is brilliant and I loved every minute of reading it. It is a fast paced hot and steamy yet also sweet and sexy book that will get you completely hooked from the beginning. I absolutely love Drew and Lucy and the dynamic they have between them is fantastic. It's full of witty banter, electrical sparks and alpha possessiveness that will get you drooling and your kindle heating up. * Make sure you sign up for the extra special epilogue at the end as it won't disappoint *
Drew, the rockstar with an appetite for sex, mistakes his new manager for a groupie. A love-hate relationship begins. He's addicted to seeing her fighting mad. It turns him on and he means to have her.
Lucy, the manager, is appalled by his assumption. She fights her attraction, one that's been in the making since her high school days. The love-hate relationship doesn't last long before she's bending to the wicked ways of this dirty rockstar.
I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review. Its amazing to me that this is only Penny’s third book. If you are looking for a quick hot read that has your emotions going every which way then these are the books for you. The chemistry between the characters is always explosive. I am so glad I was able to discover her!
I may not be a big fan of band books, I am a huge fan of Penny's so with that I base my review on the book. It is hot, sexy and it is the fantasy of every girl that has ever loved the lead singer in a band. The sex scenes are seriously smoking and I always love a instant attraction so this was a win, win! Great job!
I really did enjoy this story. The main characters were likable and believable. I had to reduce my rating because I just didn't understand the purpose of Veronica. She added absolutely nothing to the story and I feel we would have gotten to the same ending without her.
