I have to be honest, this was written by a friend and a writing colleague so I may be biased -- that said, book 2 in the Dark Surf series was another fast, enjoyable read. I really appreciated the complete world the author created, operating side by side with ours, as well as the short chapters that I gobbled up like potato chips, the introduction of another new and intriguing species, and the cliffhanger ending. Looking forward to reading book 3!!!

I was hoping that the second book will bring us with a more mature Lani, but I was wrong. She's still too naive and insecure for her own good, for being an FBI agent, she really has no clue about anything, even with her own parents. How long is going to take for Tristan to see Sky for who she really is? Is tiresome keep reading how Sky is playing with them, even with Jake and nobody have a clue? And, of course, another cliffhanger at the end.
