A SEXY, ENTERTAINING READ!

I happened upon this author's work by accident a couple of years ago and was quite impressed. Whenever she releases a new book, I get excited to read it. They are always fun and flirty with strong characters and a great storyline to keep you entertained. Nick and Chloe's story was well written and didn't disappoint. Nick is the consummate flirt with a cocky attitude. He is sinfully gorgeous and in need of medical assistance. Chloe is ethically bound to help him get well, but has a personal agenda to destroy Nick, although her physical attraction to him is getting in the way of that goal. Secrets are kept and revenge is plotted. Oh yeah, and steamy times are had.

Here is an intro to the storyline ......

Gasping for air and trying to stay above the forceful and relentless pounding waves of the Pacific Ocean, Coast Guard Captain Nick Armstrong is desperately searching for and shouting out to his crew, who were with him just minutes ago in the helicopter before it crashed into the sea. Unfortunately, no one is answering him back. Everything went wrong on the flight, but he isn't going down without a fight.

Chloe Reynolds is an orthopedic physical therapist. Nick's uncle offers to hire her to get him up and out of his wheel chair in six weeks time and will triple her salary to do so. The last person she wants as her patient is Nick Armstrong. She loathes the man. Because of his actions, she suffered a great loss. Chloe accepts the job and hopes while working with him she can expose the wrongs Nick has committed.

Sparks fly, both vengeful and lustful, as they spend the next six weeks together!

This is book three in a series, but a definite stand alone.

I'm kind of all over the place after listening to this book because I feel like I was on a teeter totter thingy ma jig. I was constantly going through - oh I like this! - to - UGH! WHY?!?

Turbulent Waters is about Nick Armstrong and Chloe Reynolds. They are somewhat connected but only Chloe knows about. At least until the end of the book when Nick discovers the entire truth and how she lied to him.

Now Chloe has been abused by her father all her life and her brother too. Her brother worked with Nick; However, it was under a different last name. Either way I was really sad because of her past but I hated how she was still doing what her dad told her too. Even under the threat that he would beat her up. Then the entire time she kept saying she was weak minded because she ended up doing what ever her dad wanted. And that is the only thing that annoyed the ever living shit out of me - her constant whining of how weak she was.

Then there's Nick who was gorgeous and super cocky. He was also kind of annoying at times but like all the men in the Armstrong family I soon fell in line with him. It took me a little bit longer to fall in love with Chloe being with Nick but it eventually happened.

I can't wait to read/listen to the next book because it's about the brother that feels more like a ghost right now. I also can't wait to find out who will capture his heart!

description

When you hear the name Melody Anne, the first things that should come to your mind are love, money and happily ever afters.

That's why..

When I saw this book on NetGalley, I nearly jumped with joy because I always wanted to try one of this author's books and never had the opportunity to.

So here was my chance!

Turbulent Waters is book three in the series (Billionaire Aviators).
It's the story of Coast guard Nick Armstrong who was on a call for a rescue but ended up crashing in the turbulent waters with serious injuries and a lost crew.

After devoting his life to his job, Nick was now ready for a little holiday especially with the coming of the beautiful and mysterious therapist who was trying desperately to put a professional boundary between them.

As a therapist, Chloe accepted the job to fix Nick's injured knee but that was because she wanted to secretly unravel the reason behind the accident. She lost her dearest brother in the accident and wouldn't rest until Nick would pay for his mistake.

Honestly, Nick was may be the first man I really wanted to shoot down.

Yeah you heard it right.

Anyway,

I REALLY WANTED TO SHOOT HIM DOWN, BARRY HIS BODY AND LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

Because..

He was an annoying, boring a-hole that all he wanted was to (get laid).

Well,

For me, that was the moment when Nick destroyed any romance I could feel in the book.

I know from different reviews that Melody Anne is a great author who writes amazing stories. This one didn't really work for me, but I hope other boojs would.

Sweet read

Not as good as book 2 but decent. Chloe got on my nerves at times. I just wish she was just stronger then she was. Nick wasn't as good as the other brothers. He was hot and the sex was hot, but the other brothers were more suave.

Again a good read. I was listening to it but again I had to see what would happen and read the end. I can't wait to read Ace's story!

Great series so far!

I’m afraid I came out of this book not much of a fan of Nick. I knew he was a player from his short appearances in previous books but he was over the top when he met Chloe, who was clearly not interested at first. Yes, she was attracted to him but she made it very clear she wanted to keep things professional. Honestly, he could have gotten slapped with a harassment suit, that’s how bad he was. I usually try to not take this kind of thing too seriously since it’s just a book, but I just couldn’t find it in me to like his character.

I did like Chloe and the fear she displayed with her father kept me interested to see what was going to happen there. It was kind of mysterious in the beginning and that always snags my attention. She’s a grown adult but her father held such sway over her that I had to find out what was going on.

Overall it was an ok read. There was enough going on in the Plot to keep me interested to see where it was heading. ARC provided by NetGalley.

Nick is my favorite Armstrong brother so far!! In this third book of the series we get to know the carefree easygoing brother. Nick has devoted his life to helping others. Being part of the Coast Guard rescue team has been everything. Everything until a crash leaves his crew dead and his body broken. Physical therapist Chloe Reynolds comes into his life and home to help him heal. But Chloe has secrets and the strong attraction between Chloe and Nick is a problem.

This was a great story and definitely a book I recommend.

Safety Level: Safe
Cliffhanger: No on the romance. Yes on the general series arc.
Ending: HEA

I have to admit that as much as I was looking forward to this book, I was a bit wary as well because the second book was just meh, and I didn't want to be disappointed in case this book was the same. However, I braved the unknown. Mostly because I had to since I got this book free from NetGalley in exchange for a simple thing as giving an honest review. So here it goes...

This book was a solid installment. Nick has always been described as the easygoing brother. He was the one who could crack jokes, make things light. He was the one Ace punched during Cooper's wedding, and he still didn't raise hell or try to retaliate. He is also the one closest to Ace, who is now the black sheep in the clan. While I am still hugely anticipating Ace's book, I have to say that I really enjoyed this book. Nick's character was consistent with the previous books. The two previous couples were featured. Although the women played very minor roles, the other two Armstrong men were still vital to the story. It was their support that helped Nick and their honesty that grounded him as well.

The heroine was difficult for me to connect with at first, but when her real story was revealed, I started liking her more and more. Unlike the second book where the ending wasn't thrilling, this book was a bit of an improvement. I still really like the first book because of that plane crash and Cooper's amazing piloting skills, but Nick's story comes in a close second.

Like I keep saying, I can't wait to find out what Ace's romance aspect will be and just how he is going to reconnect with his brothers. I hope the fourth book comes out soon!

I really like this series. I know a guy in the Coast Guard that our girls swam with him in YMCA swim team. I like the story line about brothers who come to their help to each other. I liked the first book. This is the second. Nick was the only crewman who survived a rescue. He is required to take PT with a woman to help him get fixed. A father wants to put away Nick because his son died in the crash. He makes his daughter go to help with the PT and to find info he can use against him. I think Nick pushed too much to try to get her into bed. This is really an adult story. Not for the young. I did like this book. Will Chloe melt and go to Nick? Will Nick forgive Chloe? Will they get her father sent away? I hope you check this book out to find if you want to read it. Give this a chance! I volunteered to read and review this book.

Turbulent Waters: Billionaire Aviators Book 3 is by Melody Anne. This book is just as good as the first two. Melody Anne has a way of getting you so involved you don’t want to put the book down; but if you do, you can pick up right where you left off and remember exactly what is going on.
Nick Armstrong is a helicopter pilot for the Coast Guard. He loves his job and loves his team. He found his love of flying in helicopters instead of planes. Now as he comes to, he realizes he has a good chance of dying. Here he is in the middle of the ocean in turbulent waters trying to stay alive and trying to find the other members of his team. He can find no other member and knew they hadn’t made it. He considers giving up; but remembers his family and can’t. He and his brothers had all vowed to always try. He finally finds the boat the Coast Guard dropped for him; but even in his protective suit, his injuries were taking a lot out of him. As he tried to stay awake, he focused on his family, especially his lost brother Ace. He vowed to find him when he got out of this and bring him back into the family.
He was finally out of the hospital and home. He had gone through three physical therapists trying to get back on his feet and into the air. He was angry and bored. He was looking for trouble. Trouble came looking for him at the front door. Trouble came in the form of a beautiful physical therapist, Chloe Reynolds. Chloe was hired by his Uncle Sherman and was determined to see this job through. She needed the extra money and she needed to be near Nick to find evidence that his negligence caused his helicopter to go down with his crew, one of who was her brother.

Not as good as the first book but better than the second. Good emotion and good character development. I do wish the author would use better descriptive words in the sex scenes instead of solidness, etc. Happy ☺reading 📚!

I'm sorry but I was bored out of mind with this book. I took the audio version to listen while on a long flight, thinking it would be the perfect entertainment, and all it did is bore me to tears, and put me to sleep. And I wasn't even tired. I didn't like the characters, specifically the h, and I just couldn't connect with the story. There's really nothing happening until close to the end.

Melody Anne has blown me away with Turbulent Waters. She captured my interest from the start and did not let go. She created a world that my mind become so engrossed in, I was excited to find this book was a part of a series. Obviously, this incredible story can be read as a stand a lone, but I have quickly purchased more from her Billionaire Aviators series, because I just don't want my wonderful experience to end.

In Turbulent Waters, you meet Nick Armstrong. He is the piolot for the Coast Guard. When a mission goes astray, he finds himself the sole survivor. Not only does he have to heal from the loss of his team, but he has to recover from the physical injuries he sustained as well. He pushes himself hard and is even harder on the people who have tried to help him. But nothing could have prepared him for Chloe Reynolds, his new Physical Therapist.

Chloe is bold, beautiful and pushes Nick just as much as he does. But she is also reserved, secretive and keeping him at a distance. Will he able to break through her walls or will her secrets destroy them both?

Melody Anne does a fabulous job creating memorable characters that draw you in and never let go. I absolutely love that every character she writes about in this story, both major and minor make me as a reader want to know their story as well as what is happening in this current plot. I can't wait to read more from this amazing series! I could not one-click fast enough, so that I could start at the beginning of this series!

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This is the third book in the series, and although you could read it as a standalone, it does follow on from the previous books and some strands flow through them all.

I have to admit that this is not my favourite of the series, but it is still a good read. Nick does not come across as a standup guy, at least where women are concerned, in the beginning, although he definitely improves. Chloe is also a slightly odd character, but given her upbringing, that is not entirely surprising. I found it difficult to believe that she was so put together given her brother's recent death, and who she believed to be responsible . The descriptions of the accident both early on and later were really evocative of how it must feel to undertake a coast guard rescue. They gave insight into Nick's real character and his grief over the loss of his crew.

As a couple they worked well, and were clearly well matched. The chemistry was undeniable, and as Chloe softened her views and rethought what she had been programmed to believe, their potential to have a relationship definitely improved.

I am very much looking forward to Ace's story - the mystery that has been waiting in the wings for a while!

This will be a good weekend read. It is about Nick and Chloe.

Nick, a Coast Guard pilot, has crashed and he is the only survivor. He is badly injured and heart sick over the loss of his crew. His knee is busted along with his other various injuries. The knee is the worst injury and requires a PT.

Chloe Reynolds is a nurse who then changed and specialized in physical therapy. She has been hired to be Nick's live in nurse for the next six weeks. She also has an ulterior motive given to her by an unforgiving father, whom she hates but fears.

Nick is immediately smitten with Chloe and starts his best flirting, she sets him straight right away. But Nick is not one to back down from a challenge.

When Chloe meets Nick she has two jobs both are proving harder than she imagined.

Will Nick recover and be able to return to flying? Will he forgive himself for crashing the helicopter? Will he convince Chloe that she should break down and kiss him? Was he really at fault for this crash and the deaths of his team? Will Chloe's father back off or will he make sure she looses the job she loves and the man she is finding more and more attractive?

This is a story to sink your teeth into. You'll love Dakota, Chloe's best friend.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Highly entertaining weekend read with explosive chemistry and heart stopping action. Beautifully written addition to a extremely additive series. Could not stop reading.

Coast Guard pilot Nick Armstrong despite his injury does not disappoint in the adrenaline inducing action department. Chloe Reynolds has a grudge she is holding onto with all her might when it comes to the Sexy as all hell Nick. The sparks flying off these two could start a fire that would burn for all eternity it would seem. Very emotional journey for this extremely combustible couple worth every heart pounding moment of vulnerability and soul deep strength.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Montlake Romance Publishers for an ARC of "Turbulent Waters" by Melody Anne. I like to read a variety of book genres. Sometimes after ready a "heavy read", I am in the mood for a romantic fictional book. Melody Anne writes about two main characters that are conflicted and yet attracted to one another. Nick Armstrong is recovering from an accident while attempting to rescue people from a boat in stormy weather, He is both physically and emotionally hurt. Several members of his crew lost their lives during this rescue mission. Chloe Reynolds is a physical therapist sent to help Nick. Unfortunately Chloe has an agenda of her own. Chloe's brother was one of Nick's crew members that has died, and she holds him responsible, as does her abusive, controlling father. I find that the author writes about family, friends, loyalty, betrayal, trust and hope.I would recommend this book as an easy, sexy, predictable read.

Won in giveaway on Goodreads.

To be honest, the relationship between these to starts at that "thin line between love and hate." In fact, for most of the book, all I could envision for their future was an inevitable murder/suicide. Nick was so pushy and arrogant and though "no" just meant keep trying cause she must not know what she wants.

Thank goodness they eventually communicate better. I really wished some loose ends had been tied up better. I would have liked to see Chloe grieve her brother more, wondered why no one from Nick's base recognized her (did they not have a memorial or funeral for Pat?? Did no one from base attend?), and wanted to see her dad punished for assaulting her!!

The continuation of the Billionaire Aviators series is captivating from the first page, drawing you in with the pain of near death, and then holding you captive with a mystery of a family's anger and pain. The dialog is quick and moves you through the story, the romance pulling at the heartstrings and keeping you guessing. It's been intriguing seeing each of the Armstrong brothers come into their own, patiently waiting for Ace's story up next.

This book took forever to finish, and I skimmed the last 1/3-1/4 of it. As soon as Chloe got mad at Nick because heaven forbid he was mad at her for lying to him? I was done at that point. And then she expected him to apologize for his behavior? Again, nope. And then he actually apologized??? Ugh. I wish my brain would let me quit a book when I've had enough, but no, I physically have to finish or it will bug me forever. Not even sure if I'm going to read Ace's book at this point.

Guilt. Revenge. Fear. Desire. All are very powerful emotions, combine them and they become rather explosive. Nick is the sole survivor of his Coast Guard helicopter crash while on a rescue mission in stormy Pacific waters. The guilt is something he’s going to have to incorporate into his daily life, that’s not going away. It doesn’t mean that Nick will wear that on his sleeve for the world to see, but it is alive within. The fear that his injuries will prevent him from doing the one thing in his life that he loves, he’s good at and gives him a purpose. He’ll do just about anything to get back on the job – what’s more pain added to what he’s already carrying.

Chloe has been hired by Nick’s Uncle Sherman to provide live-in care for Nick during his recovery. She’s a former nurse, and a top notch Physical Therapist. She’s strong, stubborn, beautiful and has her own separate agenda for taking this job. Her father, who has always been a bit mad and abusive her entire life is blaming Nick for his son’s death. While Chloe morns her brother’s death, she’s not completely convinced that Nick is truly to blame. Yet her fear of her father will keep her focused on what she needs to do, find proof of Nick’s part in the crash. The growing desire between Chloe and Nick, the lack of real proof that the crash was nothing more than an horrific accident is slowly changing Chloe – in more ways than she expected. With Nick at her back, for the first time in her life she may finally be able to stand up to her father and his schemes.

To be fair, all of the Armstrong brothers have been lovely flirts their entire lives. It’s as natural to them as their eye color. Yet, as each brother finds that one woman for him and settles down the broad ranged flirting is confined to their personal lady. So yes Nick is a natural born flirt, and at times he does take it a bit over the top with Chloe – but I got the impression that Nick was reacting to what he felt, what he wasn’t sure how to handle by being an overly large image of his usual self.

There are a lot of undercurrents in Turbulent Waters. And they add a bit of extra tension to the romance developing with Nick and Chloe. If there is a villain in this story, it is definitely Chloe’s father who wouldn’t know how to be less than an abusive bully if it could save his life. Watching Chloe slowly begin to doubt, mistrust and disagree with everything her father had told her is one of the rewarding aspects of this story. Seeing someone who has been abused their entire lives take the risk to stand on their own, defy their abuser and put their trust in another man is always going to be an empowering, enjoyable part of the story for me.

I believe any reader of contemporary Romance will find something to like in Turbulent Waters. It’s a solid story, with undercurrents of hidden secrets and deep pain. A truly enjoyable couple, with returning couples we’ve met before this story has so much to offer. I would recommend this one for any Romance reader who enjoys being emotionally involved with the characters… along with a strong family of support and love.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Melodie Anne - Turbulente Begierden

Klappentext

Coast Guard helicopter pilot, Nick Armstrong is good at what he does. Nick is a fearless pilot, who loves his job but when a devastating crash puts him on medical leave, Nick finds himself floating in despair. Angry and saddened by the loss of his crew, Nick channels his anger into pushing himself to get back to active duty no matter how much physical pain he has to go through. Chloe Reynolds is recruited by Nick’s uncle to get him back into shape. For the next six weeks, she will work and live in Nick’s house. Chloe’s family though blames Nick for the death of her brother and Chloe has been told by her abusive father to find evidence that Nick is guilty of murder. Neither one of them counted on the attraction they feel for each other. Will they give into temptation? Will Nick ever fly again? Is Nick responsible for the death of Chloe’s brother?
Chloe is an interesting heroine. A good chunk of the book, Chloe is swamped by doubt of Nick’s guilt and fighting her attraction to Nick. Her job as a physical therapist means everything to her and it’s important that she remain professional at all times. Even if her client is extremely attractive and a nice guy. Gradually Chloe can’t help but give in and with Nick’s help she even moves on from her abusive father.
Nick is a pretty open character. He loves women but since his accident he has been in a funk. Chloe brings out the devilish side of him and he is determined to win her over. Nick also has a huge heart as shown by his love for his family and his choice in a career.
The attraction between these two characters is instant. From the moment Nick meets Chloe at the front door, it is apparent these two have chemistry in spades. Chloe fights Nick tooth and nail but in the end she just can’t resist him.
Turbulent Waters is the third book in the Billionaire Aviators by Melody Anne but it can be read as a standalone (although if you are like me, you will want to read about the other Armstrong brothers when you are done with this book). This novel features two interesting characters and a decent amount of heat. Anyone who loves contemporary romance should give this book a read.

I really liked this book. The intensity between the characters was there, the sexual chemistry was jumping off of the page, and, most importantly, the sex scenes were hot. I liked Nick as the hero and I kind of like Chloe as the heroine. This is the third book in the Aviator series and I jumped at the chance to read Nick's story. He was always the fun brother and in this story I get to see another side of him. Nick's characters has depth and he is dealing with loss, he is a lot of fun, and he knows how to woo the panties off of any woman. Nick is a rescue pilot for the U.S Coast Guard and his career is cut short when a dangerous mission kills everyone on the helicopter instead of Nick. Dealing with survivor's guilt, Nick struggles to move forward. Chloe, a physical therapist hired by Uncle Sherman, takes on the task of nursing Nick back to health, But Chloe has a secret agenda. I liked Chloe, but the relationship between her and her father just did not make sense to me. You are an 28-year old woman and you allow your father to run your life. I was just shocked by the immaturity of this character. Other than the relationship with her father, Chloe is a character stuck between family and the truth. Chloe is learning to love and learning to trust her instincts.

There are a couple things that bothered me. First, the monologue was almost too much for me, but thankfully the dialogue was good to balance it. Second, I have read enough of Melody Anne's book to know that she can write good sex scenes, but the language that she uses is hilarious. She doesn't use harsh language, and that is okay, but using words such as "hot slick folds" or "she cupped his mass" takes away from the scene. She need to find better words to describe the reproductive parts. :) She uses "mass" a little bit too much for me and she uses "turbulent" a lot too. I really could do without the cheesy scenes between his brothers and their wives. It is so sweet that it makes my tooth hurt. I mean, I know the they are newlyweds and they love each other but sheesh, give me a break.

Other than my pet peeves with this book, this story was solid and I recommend it.

I love Melody Anne books !. The Billionaire Aviators series is wonderful . When I got the chance to read Turbulent Waters early I was thrilled and I dived into this story as soon as I could , I loved it . Turbulent Waters was fantastic.

In this book we follow Nick and Chloe .Chloe has been told for years that Nick was responsible for her brothers death so she goes to be his physical therapist but not with the best intentions ( you will understand exactly what I mean when I say that when you read the book) however upon meeting him she starts to realize that the truth is not exactly what she told it was .From pretty early in the story I began to think to myself omg how is this going to work out? but the chemistry between these two was just on fire and as they always say love finds away no matter what. The growing feelings between Nick and Chloe evolve as they get closer and closer and it eventually becomes love .Melody Anne writes a romance in this book that was absolutely perfect for these two character , it was sexy and fiery and those are two things that I love in my romance .The romance wasn't the only thing in this book that grabbed my attention , when we find about all that the events that resulted from the helicopter crash and of course the shocking secrets that were revealed , this all kept me turning the pages nonstop.

Turbulent Waters is story that is filled with romance , drama and family I loved every single minute of this book . I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in the Billionaire's Aviators series. If you love all these things in your story I suggest you get a copy when it comes out February 7,2017

Melody Anne’s “Billionaire Aviators Series” is still as intense as the passion that smolders between the protagonists, choppy and turbulent as the waters and skies they ride and just as warm and lovely as the Armstrong brothers try to find love albeit the demands of their father’s will.

Being a coast guard is what pilot Nick Armstrong lives for everyday. The adrenaline rush of rescues, being a savior and going beyond the call of duty, fuels Nick’s passion for danger. Injured and being on the ground was never the part of his plan, and going through physical therapy with Chloe Reynolds was not even in his dreams. Laid up, injured and in pain he may be, but his heart and libido seems to crave Chloe Reynolds.

Chloe Reynolds is manipulated into becoming Nick’s physical therapist for a reason, but her heart doesn’t believe that Nick can be responsible for the deaths of his team members in that fatal crash on rescue mission. Healing Nick is her ultimate goal, but can her heart heal from heartbreak is something that Chloe is not sure of. Wavering between her father’s manipulations and her love for Nick, she sure is caught in the crosshairs of losing Nick forever when her secret comes out.

“Turbulent Waters” is another fabulous romance by Melody Anne; as she weaves a story of betrayal and pain, love and passion, forgiveness and acceptance as Nick and Chloe ride the choppy waters of love for a future together.

Received an ARC from Montlake Romance via NetGalley for an honest review.
