Una linda novela de fantasía épica. Richard es el nuevo Buscador, portador de la espada de la verdad. Él no lo sabe, pero tiene el Don, una magia que sin quererlo empieza a fluir de él, desarrollada a partir del poder de su intuición para comprender la primera regla de un mago y su capacidad para descubrir las intenciones de quienes se le oponen.
En compañía de Kahlan y Zedd va en busca de la tercera caja del destino, antes de que Rahl El Oscuro la encuentre. En su camino debe enfrentar diferentes peligros y someterse a una prueba de dolor que nadie más ha superado, para luego descubrir quien será aquella persona cercana y amada que le va a traicionar, así como la forma de hacerse reconocer ante quienes deberían confiar en él.
Será su autodominio y el aprendizaje en el manejo de la espada de la verdad lo que le lleve a enfrentarse al reto final ante Rahl El Oscuro y determinar si es digno del puesto que, aunque no lo sabe, es heredero legítimo.

Acompanhamos ainda a viagem de Richard, que descobriu ser um Seeker, Kahlan (a confessora) e Zedd (um feiticeiro), o objectivo deste grupo continua a ser deter o malvado Darken Rahl e a sua busca pelo poder absoluto. Os obstáculos são mais que muitos, e somos novamente atirados para uma história com reviravoltas e contornos inesperados como Rachel a criada que foge da princesa que a maltrata e Denna, uma mulher guerreira, pertencente às Mord-sith, que fazendo uso de um instrumento chamado agiel, provoca dores que são insuportáveis.
Richard ainda trará mais surpresas ao revelar outros dotes escondidos, sente-se também uma mudança na relação com Kahlan, ou sou eu já a criar histórias onde elas ainda não existem.
Esta é uma série viciante e a autora consegui criar um admirável mundo novo cheio de criaturas mágicas e fenomenais!

Her şekilde dibe batan okuyucu bu serinin kısımlara ayrılmasıyla karanlık sulara biraz daha gömülmüş, kitap yorumlamalarımız yarısında şöyleydi şeklinde yön değiştirmek, sekteye uğramak durumunda kalmıştır. Bunun için yayın evine ayrıca teşekkür ederim.
İlk kısımda oluşan evreni ve işleyişi tanıtma amaçlı süren soru-cevap olayı bu kitapta ortadan kalkmış. Okuyucu fantastik diyarın karmaşasıyla uğraşmadan, Orta Diyarı ve dostlarını benimsemiş olarak maceranın keyfini sürüyor. Olgular, ele alış biçimleri bana oldukça farklı geldi. Kapsamlı bir olay örgüsü var diyebilirim. Yani; baştan savma bir kurgu okumayacaksınız. Orijinal fikirlerini, betimlemelerini, kafa karıştırıcı diyaloglarını sevdim. Yol uzun darısı diğer kısımlara. :)

Gönül isterdi ki çevrilirken yayınevi düzenlemesine kurban gitmeseydi seri; iki kısım halinde değilde tuğla gibi okusaydık, etkisini hiç yitirmeseydi kitap.
ÇÜNKÜ! Evet, çünkü ilk kısımı okuyup yerli yersiz yorum yapanlar, hakkında atıp tutanlar, beylik laflar edenleri çok gördü bu gözler. Yazık oldu.

Ama gerçekten ikinci kısım yani bu kitapta gidişat fazlasıyla değişiyor, olaylar hızlanıyor ve güzelleşiyor.
Şöyle bi' düşününce İblis Döngüsü serisinden beri, böylesine soluksuz bir maceraya katılmamıştım haliyle inanılmaz mutlu + huzurluyum ve (final olmasa bile) kitabı bitirdiğim kalbim şimdiden kırık, bu nasıl bi' duygu karmaşasıdır Goodkind? Sorumluluğunu alır mısın lütfen?

თავიდან იმდენად კარგად დაიწყო, რომ ვფიქრობდი მეორე ნაწილს მაინც დავუწერ ხუთ ვარსკვლავს მეთქი, თუმცა ბოლოსკენ,ჩემი აზრით, ცოტა არ იყოს და ზედმეტად მიუშვა გუდქაინდმა სადაავები. იყო რაღაცები, რაც ცოტა არ იყოს და მეზედმეტა (თუნდაც ის, რიჩარდი რომ დარკენ რალის შვილი და მისი მაგიის მემკვიდრე აღმოჩნდა)

Mil veces mejor que el primero. Este libro me tuvo pegada a él todo el día y casi toda la noche. El ritmo es continuo y muy ligero, las emociones están siempre presentes y tengo que decir que en este especialmente reina la tensión, sobre todo en el episodio de las mord-sith. Me ha encantado.

İlk kısımın sonlarındaki akıcılık bu kısmın tümüne hakimdi diyebilirim, çok hızlı okunan bir kitap oldu benim için. Genel olarak da aksiyonuyla, kurgusuyla okuması oldukça tatmin ediciydi. Yalnız yazarın acımasızlık dozunu arttırması ve okuru maruz bıraktığı kötü olaylar rahatsız edici olsa da kitabın ilerleyen bölümlerinde yaşananların hikayeye katkısı olması rahatsız ediciliğini azalttı.
Okuduğum bir çok epik fanteziye nazaran bu seride aşk kendine çok daha fazla yer bulmuştu ancak aşkın filizlenme aşamaları da romantik komedi filmlerini aratmayacak cinstendi.
Kendi türündeki kitaplardan ayrılan özgün pek yanı olmamasına karşın fantastik kurgu severler için iyi bir seri olabilir diye düşünüyorum, okuması hızlı ve yaz mevsimine gayet uygun akıcı bir seri. Bu kitapla da seriye devam edip bitirme kararı aldım.

Ένα περιπετειώδες ταξίδι σε έναν νέο φανταστικό κόσμο, με ιδιαίτερους ήρωες, πολύ μαγεία και την αιώνια μάχη ανάμεσα στο καλό και το κακό. Πολλές περιγραφές, οι χαρακτήρες αναλύονται σε βάθος και η αλληλεπίδραση μεταξύ τους είναι πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα. Η πλοκή εξελίσσεται γρήγορα, αν και σε κάποιες περιπτώσεις οι περιγραφές του χώρου τη "φρενάρουν" λίγο. Η δράση και οι ανατροπές στο υπόλοιπο μέρος της δίνουν ξανά τον ρυθμό.
Στο πρώτο βιβλίο μιας μεγάλης σειράς, χωρισμένο σε δύο τόμους, ο συγγραφέας κάνει αυτό ακριβώς που πρέπει. Μας συστήνει τον κόσμο που έπλασε και μας κεντρίζει το ενδιαφέρον για τη συνέχεια.
Στο πρώτο βιβλίο μιας μεγάλης σειράς, χωρισμένο σε δύο τόμους, ο συγγραφέας κάνει αυτό ακριβώς που πρέπει. Μας συστήνει τον κόσμο που έπλασε και μας κεντρίζει το ενδιαφέρον για τη συνέχεια.

Ένα μόνο από αυτά θα ήταν αρκετό να κρατήσει τον βιβλιόφιλο. Τώρα όλα αυτά μαζί...τι να σας πω, σας μιλά ένας αιχμάλωτος!
Ασκεί γοητεία και εθισμό στον αναγνώστη που δεν μπορεί να αποφύγει να συνεχίσει να διαβάζει.
Το να έλεγα ότι υπάρχει ποικιλία δεν θα ήταν απολύτως εύστοχο. Διότι εδώ δεν έχουμε να κάνουμε απλώς( απλώς; αστειάκια;) με παρουσία διαφορετικών στοιχείων μέσα στην πλοκή που σίγουρα αξίζουν εκτίμησης κι από μόνα τους αφού εμπλουτίζουν.Εδώ υπάρχει πάντα κάτι καινούργιο, κάτι διαφορετικό. Κάτι που ο αναγνώστης δεν γνωρίζει, έτσι η έκπληξη είναι τακτική του επισκέπτρια διεκδικώντας δικαιωματικά τη θέση της στα παραπάνω χαρακτηριστικά που ανέφερα ότι περιλαμβάνονται. Και της την δίνω φυσικά. Η πρωτοτυπία και η ευρηματικότητα δεν έχουν τέλος. Εκπλήξεις. Πολλές εκπλήξεις!
Μια αμυδρή σεναριακή τρυπούλα διέκρινα κάποια στιγμ�� αλλά σε έναν τέτοιο καμβά με ξέφρενο ρυθμό και με τόσα πολλά στοιχεία και πρωτοτυπίες, ε, μια μύγα δεν σκιάζει τον ήλιο όσο απείθαρχη κι αν είναι.
Ένα σαγηνευτικό παραμύθι- ναι, έχει και δράκο! - για μεγάλα παιδιά, απολαυστικό και υπέροχο. Τα 5 αστέρια είχαν δωθεί εξ αρχής σε ρυθμό προπονήσεως αβασάνιστα και ανάλαφρα. Εκεί στα αστέρια πήγαν και οι προσδοκίες μου για τα επόμενα βιβλία της σειράς. Κι αν συνεχιστεί αυτό το δελεαστικό - κατά ριπάς - κρεσέντο, με βλέπω να μην μπορέσω να αποφύγω να αποκτήσω και τις πρωτότυπες αγγλικές εκδόσεις αφού η ελληνική θα με εγκαταλείψει στο τέλος του έκτου μέρους.

Aslında 2 yıldız verebilirdim, bu kitaplarla bir "love-hate" ilişkim var sanırım. Kolay okunuyor, evet, fakat okurken çok kez göz deviriyorum.

Na segunda parte desta obra esperava que continuasse ao mesmo nível, uma vez que é apenas metade do livro e não o segundo volume. E não me desiludi de modo algum, uma vez que este parte acabou por se revelar ainda melhor do que a primeira.
Neste livro começa-se onde terminou o anterior: Richard e Kahlan a saírem do território do Povo da Lama, com um mar de aventuras à sua espera e imensos perigos à espreita. Assim, lá vão eles, na demanda para encontrar a terceira caixa de Orden até ao primeiro dia de Inverno, de modo a travar Draken Rahl.
Não me vou alongar em detalhes sobre o enredo, uma vez que, para tal, teria de contar demais e isso poderia estragar o prazer da leitura a quem não gosta muito de spoilers. Mas posso dizer que continuei a gostar imenso das personagens, do enredo e da excelente forma como o autor dirigiu os acontecimentos, de modo a proporcionar um final fantástico e cheio emoção e pontas soltas. Ou seja, tem o final perfeito para o primeiro volume de uma saga de Fantasia.
Como referi, as personagens continuam a transmitir carisma e carácter e aparecem novas personagens. Temos mais perspectivas da história através dos olhos de outras personagens, que acabam por trazer ainda mais prazer à leitura. Principalmente porque são personagens que fazem com que o leitor se emocione com a história, principalmente a nível da raiva contra estas ou então com de extrema amizade. Por exemplo, temos a princesa Violeta e a sua mãe, a rainha Milena, que são ambas destiladores de ódio. Mas também temos personagens como Rachel e Scarlet, que me fizeram sorrir bastantes vezes ao longo da narrativa. E depois temos Denna...
Denna é a personagem que mais novidade traz a esta parte da história. Sendo ela uma Mord-sith (faz-me sempre lembrar A Vingança dos Sith), o seu papel é caçar pessoas com capacidades mágicas e treiná-las para se tornarem seus capachos, a mando de altas identidades, em especial do Lorde Rahl, uma vez que as Mord-sith são originárias de D'Hara. Depois de Rahl mandar Denna caçar e treinar Richard, Denna proporciona aos leitores momentos de pura violência, a todos os níveis. Comparando com As Cinquenta Sombras de Grey (que não li, mas já li muito sobre), os capítulos onde Denna é senhora poriam Mr. Grey a um canto. E confesso que essa parte do livro me fez alguma impressão, devido à forma real como o autor escreveu as cenas, onde abunda a violência. Fiquei um bocadinho constrangida e revoltada, porém, para o desfecho que a parte de Denna teve, tudo se justificou, e ela acabou por ser uma das personagens mais marcantes do livro, que mais me comoveu, a dada altura.
Gostei muito do final, como já referi, e como o autor entrelaçou diversos aspectos da história de modo a presentear os seus leitores com um final maravilhoso. É um final, que não sendo mesmo o final da obra, mostra a mestria do autor em estabelecer ligações pequenas e cruciais. Pareceu-me, a dado momento, que estava a ler um dos livros de Scott Lynch. E claro que isso pesou para o meu contentamento com a história e com o autor, uma vez que gosto imenso das histórias de Locke Lamora.
Em suma, gostei de tudo. Há muito mais acção nesta parte do livro, o que é normal tendo em conta o tamanho original deste. A velocidade a que a história avança também é maior e mais dinâmica. Os mistérios e alguns momentos de suspense e até algum terror, também se mantêm. Fica-se a saber mais sobre a cultura dos diferentes povos e também mais sobre a magia. Não podia ter sido melhor e fiquei satisfeita.
Espero que a Porto Editora continue a publicar por cá esta saga, senão será outra a seguir em inglês, pois vou querer saber mais sobre Richard e os seus amigos.
Neste livro começa-se onde terminou o anterior: Richard e Kahlan a saírem do território do Povo da Lama, com um mar de aventuras à sua espera e imensos perigos à espreita. Assim, lá vão eles, na demanda para encontrar a terceira caixa de Orden até ao primeiro dia de Inverno, de modo a travar Draken Rahl.
Não me vou alongar em detalhes sobre o enredo, uma vez que, para tal, teria de contar demais e isso poderia estragar o prazer da leitura a quem não gosta muito de spoilers. Mas posso dizer que continuei a gostar imenso das personagens, do enredo e da excelente forma como o autor dirigiu os acontecimentos, de modo a proporcionar um final fantástico e cheio emoção e pontas soltas. Ou seja, tem o final perfeito para o primeiro volume de uma saga de Fantasia.
Como referi, as personagens continuam a transmitir carisma e carácter e aparecem novas personagens. Temos mais perspectivas da história através dos olhos de outras personagens, que acabam por trazer ainda mais prazer à leitura. Principalmente porque são personagens que fazem com que o leitor se emocione com a história, principalmente a nível da raiva contra estas ou então com de extrema amizade. Por exemplo, temos a princesa Violeta e a sua mãe, a rainha Milena, que são ambas destiladores de ódio. Mas também temos personagens como Rachel e Scarlet, que me fizeram sorrir bastantes vezes ao longo da narrativa. E depois temos Denna...
Denna é a personagem que mais novidade traz a esta parte da história. Sendo ela uma Mord-sith (faz-me sempre lembrar A Vingança dos Sith), o seu papel é caçar pessoas com capacidades mágicas e treiná-las para se tornarem seus capachos, a mando de altas identidades, em especial do Lorde Rahl, uma vez que as Mord-sith são originárias de D'Hara. Depois de Rahl mandar Denna caçar e treinar Richard, Denna proporciona aos leitores momentos de pura violência, a todos os níveis. Comparando com As Cinquenta Sombras de Grey (que não li, mas já li muito sobre), os capítulos onde Denna é senhora poriam Mr. Grey a um canto. E confesso que essa parte do livro me fez alguma impressão, devido à forma real como o autor escreveu as cenas, onde abunda a violência. Fiquei um bocadinho constrangida e revoltada, porém, para o desfecho que a parte de Denna teve, tudo se justificou, e ela acabou por ser uma das personagens mais marcantes do livro, que mais me comoveu, a dada altura.
Gostei muito do final, como já referi, e como o autor entrelaçou diversos aspectos da história de modo a presentear os seus leitores com um final maravilhoso. É um final, que não sendo mesmo o final da obra, mostra a mestria do autor em estabelecer ligações pequenas e cruciais. Pareceu-me, a dado momento, que estava a ler um dos livros de Scott Lynch. E claro que isso pesou para o meu contentamento com a história e com o autor, uma vez que gosto imenso das histórias de Locke Lamora.

este libro es excelente, la tristeza y el poder de las mord sith, la tortura de richard, su camino al poder, un poco trillado y a la ves un deux ex machina en la resolución del conflicto con kahlan. eso le quito caracter al final del libro, por eso una estrella menos que un cinco, pero muy muy bueno por lo demas.

გუდკაინდმა საერთოდ არ იცის წერა, პირველი ტომი ჰა და ჰა ასე თუ ისე წაფორხილებებით არაუშავდა მაგრამ მეორე ნაწილი პირველზე უარესია, ძალიან ძალიან გაწელილი წიგნია, ჩემი აზრით ძალიან სუსტი ისტორიით, ემოციაც არ წამოიღო, წიგნს 5 თუ უწერ ყოველ თავში მაინც უნდა შეგაჟრჟოლოს, ამაში კი... მოკლედ სრული კატასტროფაა ჩემი აზრით, შეიძლება მოვიდეს დრო ასე 20 30 წლის მერე და სხვანაირად შევხედო მაგრამ ამ ეტაპზე - ამ ეტაპზე რა 1 წელი გავიდა რაც წავიკითზე მაგრამ ეხლა ვწერ - მხოლოდ იმედგაცრუებული ვარ. არადა როგორ ველოდებოდი :(

Estes livros deviam ser lidos de seguida. No início tive alguma dificuldade em me lembrar de todas as personagens e de todos os passos da história. Mas assim que entrei outra vez no enredo não larguei mais. É viciante! Muito bem escrito e sempre com acção e um enredo fabuloso com surpresas até ao fim.

Το δεύτερο μέρος του πρώτου από μια σειρά ΣΚΟΥΠΙΔΙΑ των οποίων η υποδοχή από το κοινό ήταν πολύ καλύτερη από ό,τι τους άξιζε. Για αρχή δεν είναι άσχημο, έχει την πλάκα του, δημιουργεί έναν ενδιαφέροντα νέο κόσμο. Δυστυχώς η συνέχεια δεν ήταν ανάλογη. Νόμιζα ότι ήμουν ο μόνος που το έβλεπε έτσι, μέχρι που έπεσα σε αυτή την κριτική (και το χάρηκα):

Even after a full year up here, Goodkind is still staying firmly planted at the number 3 spot, and I don't plan on moving him anytime soon, unless someone manages to top the level of drivel spewing forth from his pen. Though there are some new contenders for worst title, there are no real challengers just yet. Maybe next year (2013) will bring something new to the table.

Seriously people, if you think Goodkind is the Second Coming of Christ to the fantasy genre, you haven't read any real fantasy books yet. Don't ask me to add his name to any of the Best Book Lists, because I'm not going to.
Goodkind.Does.Not.Deserve.To.Be.Added.Because.He's.Not.Good.Enough.
I'll admit that Goodkind's first few novels were kind of entertaining in a sick sort of way, but the entertainment soon got lost behind the sheer awfulness of the man's writing. The idea was good, but the problem is that Goodkind lacked the actual writing skills to translate ideas to paper. He broke just about every 'don't do this when you're writing a novel' rule in this book. Heck, he probably even broke a few writing rules that haven't been invented yet!
NoGoodKind's books are a "College English 101: Fiction Class case study" for what not to do when writing a novel. If anything, the man could sell his books as part of a Creative Writing syllabus on "Bad Books NOT to Copy".
Richard Raul is THE MAN
Dude, the hero of The Sword of Truth is THE MAN. He's the Chuck Norris of the fantasy landscape, able to defeat every dark god without breaking a sweat. He's so full of altruistic goodness that he's got a halo, except when you disagree with him and he kills you. Hell, he even goes all Chuck Norris in Book 8 on a bunch of unarmed farmer pacificists because they don't have his vision of moral clarity by not believing in absolute good and evil. So he slaughters these weak cowards and is continually praised for this over the course of the novel by Goodkind. But wait, isn't killing people who disagree with you Fascism? Nooo, that couldn't be the case, since Goodkind is so enlightened.
But wait, there is more badness to come. Oh yea, he's so bad (and by baaad, I mean good) that he rips a man's spinal cord out with his bare freaking hands -- you can practically hear the Mortal Kombat "Finish Him" voiceover in the background. Hell Yea! If that's not manly and badassism, I don't know what is. A few other godlike traits: he's super intelligent on top of being a hunky male model, he's got a princess-lover who's so pure and beautiful that even Jesus would have a hard'on, and he bashes in the skull of a seven-year-old bratty kid.
To delve into more of the hero's badism, let's sum it up a bit (avoid this paragraph if you don't want to read spoilers) the entire series:
Farm boy finds a super sword and becomes the super Seeker of Truth, basically a badass dimwit with the big, big sword who goes around stabbing bad guys or simply any character who actually has the gall to disagree with his -- cough Goodkind's-- philosophy (which is in fact a badly written version of Ayn Rand's Fountainhead). But wait, there's more to big ol' teddy bear Richard. You see, he's really also a hidden prince too, and a pretty damn handsum one at that. No but wait, he's also a Wizard. Did I forget to mention that he's also a War Wizard on top of being a regular wizard which is basically a Wizard 2.0 with even deadlier magic than Wizard 1.0s? Oh, let's not forget about the part where he becomes KING ruler of an entire continent.
Did I miss anything? Oh yes, I forgot: Richard also has a harem of attractive women who want to rip his clothes off, and rape him in a series of bad S&M scenes. Can't forget the other character: Kahland Amnell, Richards love interest princess and Mary Sue extraordinaire. Forgetting anything else? Opps one more: one of the SOT villains is an evil chicken. Yeaaaaa.....
Richard Rauhl is pretty much the fantasy version of Goku from Dragon Ball Z -- always just one step away from powering up to some new super ability to save the day. The only difference: replace the stupid endless posturing of the characters with endless plot-destroying Randism pontificating by Richard. I'd like to say it's a more intelligent series than an anime made for kids, but I dont' think I can even give the series that sort of credit.
Now let's get to the badly written sex and Goodkind's treatment of women in the books.
Goodkind has a disturbing fascination with the domination and rape of women. I mean you have to wonder about the guy when pretty much every page involves some sadistic torture and rape of yet another innocent and lovely woman. Man, we get it guy: lovely women need to be humiliated over and over in as many different ways as possible. Now stop writing about the same damn thing for 10,000 pages! I'm beginning to suspect that John Norman from the Gor series helped ghostwrite the SOT novels or maybe Goodkind gets a kick out of reading Gor. Either way, enough of your boy fantasies please!
Prose, Like, Actually Counts Dude
Now if only the public could be stabbed with that same Sword of Truth that Richard Rhaul carries around, the truth of how bad this series really is would be revealed to the world. The writing itself is absolutely hideous amateurishly written prose that will give you eyebleeds. The interesting world-building hinted at in the first novel was about the only redeeming quality of the entire series but this one small bit of potential soon gets drowned in the badlly written prose, stupid cardboard characters (with some of them bordering on ridiculous), and the dirty S&M rape scenes oh-so-generously sprinkled around every few pages.
Goodkind has really mastered the literary trick of TELLING his reader, not SHOWING them. Did I mention that the writing quality is bad, like atrociously bad with -ly adverbs thrown in before practically every single verb, horrible grammar, and a plot so full of holes that it sinks to the bottom of the quality barrel?
We are not in your ff'in Church, Goodkind
But by far the worst literary crime is Goodkind's penchant for pausing the story while he pontificates and pontificates and pontificates about the nature of good and evil through his characters. I mean, it gets absolutely ridiculous in the later books. The early books actually have the semblance of a plot and characters, but by the 6th book, something starts to go seriously wrong with the story threads, and Goodkind decides he's going to write his own version of The Fountainhead starring Richard, Kahland, and evil Emperor dude who wants to kill the world. The 8th book (The Naked Empire) was by far the worst offender, with a significant portion of the book given to Goodkind's bad philosophizing there were literally pages end on end of bad philosophy spewing from the mouth of Goodkind's hero. At one point I think I skipped something like 30 pages of Richard pontificating and the plot or story didn't miss a single beat.
If you want to read Goodkind, you can save yourself a lot of pain and just skip straight to the source: read Ann Rynd's Fountainhead, the book that inspired the Sword of Truth series.
Now, I wouldn't toss Goodkind on this list only because of A Wizard's First Rule. No, it took a string of absolute trash to land him on the worst fantasy book list. His recent book titles can be used as a euphemism for crap, puke and other less-than-wholesome words.
Goodkind's book quality goes like this:
'first book -- readable with some interesting world-building, but terrible prose
'books 2 - 3 -- less readable
'books 4 - 6 -- even less readable and preachy
'books 7 - 9 -- oh my god, my eyes are bleeding and I'm going deaf from all the bad Fountainhead preaching
'books 10 - 12 -- thank god the series is done. Oh but wait, he's signed up for MORE novels.
'Sword of Truth Tie Ins -- doesn't even qualify as a novel
I now hear that Goodkind has decided to embrace the self-publishing movement and inflict even more books on the public, this time with even less editorial control, since he's now going to be the author, editor, and publisher. God save us from the horror of it all!
I fully expect putting Goodkind in this section will rile up some of his fans (and feel free to express yourself in the comment section), but before posting anything nasty or libeling my character and tastes, please read the top 5 books on my Top 25 Best Fantasy Book list, THEN come and tell me why NoGoodkind should be taken off this list.

The 8th book (The Naked Empire) was by far the worst offender, with a significant portion of the book given to Goodkind's bad philosophizing there were literally pages end on end of bad philosophy spewing from the mouth of Goodkind's hero. At one point I think I skipped something like 30 pages of Richard pontificating and the plot or story didn't miss a single beat.
If you want to read Goodkind, you can save yourself a lot of pain and just skip straight to the source: read Ann Rynd's Fountainhead, the book that inspired the Sword of Truth series.
Now, I wouldn't toss Goodkind on this list only because of A Wizard's First Rule. No, it took a string of absolute trash to land him on the worst fantasy book list. His recent book titles can be used as a euphemism for crap, puke and other less-than-wholesome words.
Goodkind's book quality goes like this:
'first book -- readable with some interesting world-building, but terrible prose
'books 2 - 3 -- less readable
'books 4 - 6 -- even less readable and preachy
'books 7 - 9 -- oh my god, my eyes are bleeding and I'm going deaf from all the bad Fountainhead preaching
'books 10 - 12 -- thank god the series is done. Oh but wait, he's signed up for MORE novels.
'Sword of Truth Tie Ins -- doesn't even qualify as a novel
I now hear that Goodkind has decided to embrace the self-publishing movement and inflict even more books on the public, this time with even less editorial control, since he's now going to be the author, editor, and publisher. God save us from the horror of it all!
I fully expect putting Goodkind in this section will rile up some of his fans (and feel free to express yourself in the comment section), but before posting anything nasty or libeling my character and tastes, please read the top 5 books on my Top 25 Best Fantasy Book list, THEN come and tell me why NoGoodkind should be taken off this list.

Un libro de fantasía brutal, contiene elementos de misterio, acción, drama, amor, terror. Tras el primer libro que es más introductorio este está lleno de acción trepidante, aparecen nuevos personajes, los q ya conocíamos evolucionan. Mi personaje favorito es el de Kalhan sin duda alguna. Hay partes bastante cruentas donde sufres por el destino de los personajes, otros se llevan su merecido con creces. Estoy deseando leer la tercera parte. Es una pena que esta saga sea tan desconocida, ojalá que más gente la descubriese. No tiene desperdicio la verdad. Tiene todo lo que un buen libro de fantasía debería tener. El final me ha parecido apoteósico.

Jag tror att bästa sättet att läsa dessa översättningar är att se de två första böckerna som en bok (likt orginalet) för den här band verkligen ihop berättelsen till en fantastisk första bok. Andra halvan av denna är vad som verkligen sålde mig. Först tyckte jag att Mord-Sitherna påminde lite väl mycket om Sul'dams i Wheel of Time, men Terry tog det konceptet och vände på det väldigt snyggt. Det var fascinerande att se hur jag kunde så snabbt gå ifrån att avsky Denna till att lida med Rickard när han tvingades döda henne.

Jomensåatte... från lite subtila BDSM-referenser i första boken så blir det plötsligt full on sadomasochistisk femdom. Did not see that one coming.
Väldigt svart-vita karaktärer, lite fler gråskalor bland karaktärerna hade varit trevligt.

Muchísimo mejor que el primero. El arco de Denna sin duda es lo más top. Me ha enganchado de tal forma que podría decirse que me lo he leído en tres tandas largas. De los que te obligan a seguir leyendo porque quieres más.
