MY BOOKS in the order I wrote them: Elizabeth Bondage* Bound and Freed* Carmen's NY Romance* Amy's Forbidden Fantasy* Karma What Wendy Wants Fate Kink* (Fate #2) Promises to Keep Abuse Trilogy Accuse (Abuse #2) Avenge (Abuse #3) Demon Blessed
André (the sexy sex counsellor) is 36 years old in the above books. In ABUSE he is 26 (to 28).The stars* mean heavy BDSM. André is in all of my books except "What Wendy Wants," "Promises to Keep," and "Demon Blessed."
Now that I’ve thought more about it, I give this book a 5 demon blessed stars.
I had so much fun reading this book! It’s hard sometimes to find original ideas, something you’ve not already read a hundred times with some variation so when I read Demon Blessed, I was utterly delighted!
Jan is not your “usual” demon possessed girl. Of course a demon came thanks to her crazy mom to take possession of Jan except he is not really in control. You could call it a modern cohabitation of the body. She sees her demon as a baby demon she had to raise and train so he would not wreak havoc but satisfy his needs in a tamer way. I loved how she had to train her demon to be a good little demon. She had to learn to compromise to give him some freedom on acceptable vices. When living with a partner you compromise! "He and I have kind of grown up together. I’m trying to instill in him the best of human characteristics; compassion, understanding, moderation—you get the idea. He’s trying to teach me murder, irresponsible lust, bloodthirsty violence, and the joys of total mayhem. So far I’m winning, but only because we’re friends. Technically, I’m older and wiser than he is. I certainly understand humanity and this world better than he does."
Everything is not black or white but a demon can learn to be good or create instead of destroy. There’s a parallel with “real life”: you choose who you want to be and you're not totally determined once and for all by your genetics or your upbringing. They can influence but you make the ultimate call.
So yes, the idea was very original and appealing. But there’s much more to this book.
Being demon blessed Jan can see and communicate with ghosts. In our modern world, she can’t tell she’s possessed for fear of being slaughtered by vampires or werewolves or being retained in the nearest psych ward. She has to find a way to fit in and is working as a psychic in a special PI agency. She uses her special talent to solve murders and other crimes. It reminded me of the Meredith Gentry series in some ways: paranormal investigations with a female character very alluring for all kind of males, human or non- human. I loved the mysteries to solve!
It’s also a very hot story as one way to feed her demon is to have sex. Spicy scenes right away!
The possession or healing scenes were very intense and the book is also suspenseful as we try to solve the mysteries, full of surprises and cherry on top: it’s filled with humor!
I laughed so many times when I read about her dog preferring some music and the demon hating TV except documentary. Or when I read about “How to become a werewolf 101” Or “FFS friend for shifting”. "There’s no name on either the book or the DVD, but if there were one it would probably be something like, “Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Being A Werewolf, And Some Things You Didn’t Want To Know, Too.” I snicker as an avalanche of silly titles roll through" If you want humor, you’ll find plenty!
It was the right balance between spicy and sexy, suspenseful and funny, thoughtful (Jane just shares her wisdom here and there) and light. In one word: I had a blast reading this original story.
Blurb: I know he’s a shifter before I see him. As I step inside, desire pulls me under like a wave. Vampires are delicious, but nothing is as scorching hot as a powerful werewolf. I’m not sure what I want more—to have him bend me over the table, or to feed on his otherworldly energy.
I crave both.
Temptation! This is how my problems begin. I can’t trust anyone, particularly supernatural creatures. With my power, I don’t even trust myself.
I’m too damned dangerous.

Psychic, Janice St. John, is no longer human—not since her mother’s spell went wrong and a baby demon took up residence in her body. Now Jan’s teaching her bloodthirsty inner monster to be good. Employed by a detective agency, she solves mysteries by talking to ghosts. Then she makes one little mistake…
What an incredible and mind bending experience this book is! There is so much happening and constantly changing with surprising twists and tweaks to vampires, were wolves, shifters, witches, empaths, sorcerers and so much more. I'm absolutely captivated by Jane... she has "something more" inside of her. She spends every moment of every day keeping it under control. I guess the story title tells you that it's a demon. Well, technically a baby demon that she's trying to train. Yep, I said train,.. Oh ye of little faith. This is the story of how that happened, what it's meant in terms of Jane having a life, and can it ever be normal. Well, a girl needs a goal, right? This large cast of well developed characters are going to blow you away. Uniquely different levels of power and gifts come into play. Good vs Evil is a way of life and sometimes nothing is as it seems. When not one but two creatures come into Jane's life..... an Alpha wolf shifter she falls hard for he for her.... wait for it..... and a Vampire demon executioner who has come to kill her.... wait for it...... Both of them believe that Jane is demond possessed, both are sworn to kill.... can Jane convince each of them that she's Demond Blessed? The answer will surprise you.
A very different demon possession story: Normally, the demon in question would be a stereotypical, sexy and panty-wettingly tempting guy. This one is a mere baby (as far as she knows) and they can't even communicate properly.
Nevertheless, their relationship is an interesting one. I couldn't help but giggle at the notion of this fish out of water/demon out of Hell baby who's grown fond of Christian choral music - and even seems to do good on occasions. (When he's not lusting after all the usual demon-y mayhem.)
Will definitely continue this series, as soon as volume 2 is released as an audio book.
As a long time fan of Nikki Sex, I read this book as soon as I could... despite the fact that I've always hated the entire concept of demons. Well, I should've known that an author as talented as Nikki Sex would make even a book about demons entertaining.
There's wit, intelligence, emotion and fascinating characters and events. I loved the ethical issues, twists and surprises, as well. There's definitely some dark elements, violence and gore, but it was done so interestingly and with humor throughout. This book made me think & feel. Nikki Sex's works always evoke great emotion... and immense heat. This book had that, too.
Demon Blessed blew me away. I loved it! This was a departure for the author, involving paranormal characters, but she aced it! I was truly sad when it ended, not wanting to leave this world or its characters behind. I still want to know what happens next. I genuinely care about the characters.
This book reads great as a standalone or as the 1st of a series. I strongly recommend this book for paranormal lovers as well as Nikki Sex fans. Give it a try, even if you're neither!
I love Niki she is an awesome writer and I have loved every book I have read....but I don't know about this one.
Great writing interesting plot...but at times I felt lost in all the twists and turns. It was complex but at times too complicated. I do not like when something happens, but it doesn't really get explained and everything is up in the air. The characters seem ok with it, but I just get frustrated because I am not ok and want to understand why.
I will read the next one, but I just feel drained from reading trying to keep everything straight.
A wonderful change of direction for one of my favourite authors. Demon Blessed has something for everyone; the paranormal, magic, murder, mystery and Nikki's signature style of erotica romance. This story is intelligent and exciting and promises great things as the series progresses.
The h & demon relationship was really creative but I’m Not a fan of the writing. The book could have been shorter & sadly it was incredibly predictable. I will not be continuing the series.
Purch Amazon April 19, 2017 Demon Blessed (Demon Blessed Book 1) Nikki Sex Adult Paranormal Romance Suspense Well this is really different from anything Ms. Nikki Sex has ever written. She has always been my 'Go to' Erotica author. When you want really hot and steamy erotica, Nikki Sex DELIVERS! But, this is not that kind of book. This one is intensely different from anything I have read of hers. The positives; Very interesting plot. Full of twist and turns. Janice St. John, a.k.a. Agnes, is a really intriguing character. The world build is well done. Very imaginative. Some steamy areas. Passion. The negatives; Very repetitive. A few editing and typo errors. Some jumpy areas. Definitely in need of the mighty 'Blue Pencil'. It feels like you are reading the rough draft instead of a finished copy. I enjoyed it and I will be reading book 2 in the series. I hope she has a few of the issues I have with this one worked out.
This seems like a very good idea for a book. Girl suddenly has a demon residing within her and she spends her life trying to keep it in check and doing as much good as she can while avoiding other supernaturals. The problem was the writing. There is a paragraph long explanation for every tiny thing that happens...which is really annoying. It also becomes super repetitive...I get it...it's tough to keep the demon in check, you're tempted by supernaturals, you have to be non descript and blend in, and you think your dog is weird. It got so annoying to here these things over and over that I just couldn't go on.
Wow- This is a total change, something new and intriguing from Nikki AND boy was it worth the read. With that titillating flair for the erotic, Nikki takes the reader on a journey of the imagination involving werewolves and other supernatural beings. Who knew fantasy could be so erotic. Worth the read, looking to continue the series. :)
I really enjoyed reading this book, it was different and that's what kept my attention, it had a little of everything in it, drama, mystery, sex, comedy and I would recommend it to any other readers.
I love this book. The story will suck you in ( no pun intended ) you will not be able to put it down till the end. Jan is so fascinating. I can't wait for the next part.
I received this book for an honest review from the author. This book is full of twist and turns that will keep you reading and wanting more. Ready for book two now.
Outstanding Story & Audible Listen🎧 Fascinating PNR! Demon Blessed By: Nikki Sex Narrated by: Sarah Puckett Series: Demon Blessed Series, Book 1
This book blew my mind, it is well written with amazing storylines that mesmerized me from start to end. Nikki Sex created an imaginative world with equally imaginative characters and supernatural beings. There is great character development. Janice, “Jan”, continues to find out more about herself everyday, her powers continue to morph and she finds new abilities within. I love her strength and determination to find a way thru the dilemmas she finds herself in. Also liked the gifts she possessed as well as dynamics of her inner demon and the struggles she has with it, it is like a battle between good and evil. Then comes swoon worthy Stafford, the “Beast Lord” an alpha shifter and leader of his pack, I adored him and the bond he had with Jan. I think the two are great together, talk about power couples that could be them. I was not sure how I felt about Leonidas Sparagis, the Vampire and Jugulo, it is going to be interesting to see what comes next for him. Some other great secondary characters including Toby, one of my favorites as well as Hope and Owen. I hope to hear more about them in the next book. I highly recommend this book, it is action packed with unique & original paranormal storylines and contains plenty of drama, twists, mystery, suspense and some hot romance. Thank you Nikki Sex for this amazing story. I loved the whole premise of being “Demon Blessed” as opposed to being “Demon Possessed”.
I listened to the audio edition, Sarah Puckett is a fantastic narrator and voice performer. She brings these character to life, gives each their unique own voice and personality, as well as heart and attitude. She does a great job with accents and performing both female and male voices. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen!
I think others mentioned there was significant world building but I considered it more of a way over the top detailed inner monologue with many things repeated and dragged out. You know it’s not a good sign when you skip so much of the book. I even skipped a lot of the sex scenes because they either came on too quickly, took way too long, or just had very little interaction between the characters that even made you want them to have sex. I also feel like we skipped over all of the important romance bc it happened so long ago in the story, and the characters immediately jump in bed together. Some of it was very cliche with heads bumping into each other in sexual moments, etc that I’m pretty sure never happen to real people unless they are drunk or something. The dialogue is also a little juvenile at times with the main character being “hot as hell” all the time. And being trapped by the alpha and not reacting at all? Just being mad and saying oh well I guess I’m bound to him for all eternity, he but me without permission etc. I’ll figure it out later. There was no fight to her life choices being completely taken away. And she slept with him assuming she would probably sexually enslave him since it’s the second time while planning to leave the next day and just couldn’t resist apparently. Maybe they deserve each other but I couldn’t read any impede of this train wreck after the non consensual binding and trying to turn her and her just shrugging it off.

I'm bummed. This actually started decently, and I was interested in the idea of being sure to abstain from the Seven Sins as a way to create a positive roll model for the demon. That was kinda cute, as it showed a desire to teach, not just control or fear what was inside her. Then it all went downhill about 3/4 of the way through. It was quite obvious that the original plot thread had been completely discarded, or else perhaps misplaced, and in its stead was mostly random adding of scenes that felt incredibly disjointed and superfluous. The entire section with her imprisonment by the vampire, her entering sub-space easily and willingly when she'd been so dedicated controlled prior with very little actual development was a harsh breaking point that would have done much better in a second book of its own. It's not believable that a "meanwhile, back at the ranch" type chapter break would create such a shift in focus. Very weak.
Add to that the lack of any indentation for all paragraphs making it harder to read and follow just as a matter of formatting, and really the only reason I gave this two stars was that the idea at the beginning had merit.

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I am so glad I asked for this book. The story was fabulous. I am just disappointed that the next two books are not in audio, yet (I hope). I don't have time to sit down and read a book. The suspense, the imagination, the thrill, it was all awesome. The complex detail of the story was riveting. I honestly couldn't stop the recording. I had to listen to the end. The narrator did an excellent job. She might want to brush up on her British accent. Not too good with that, but the way she did the rest of the characters, was amazing. So looking forward to continuing this story in the audio format. I may break down and actually read it. It was so good.
2.25 Stars. (WW/WM). Audible Romance Pkg. book with narration by Sarah Puckett. Paranormal romantic comedy-maybe?. Janice's mother and friends perform a magic ritual in conjunction with having Janice loose her virginity to a paranormal. This results in Janice becoming an immortal with a demon in addition to her previous ability to see and speak with the dead. Eventually she falls in love with an alpha werewolf; but knowledge of her demon causes problems with their relationship. The story is told from Janice's prospective and she speaks and speaks and speaks. Dialogue is rare fruit. The are more twists and turns and unexpected character than you can shake a stick at. Cliffhanger.
This 3 book set has been hiding in my audible library for a while now. I don't know how I ended up skipping this one for so long, but I am so happy to have discovered it. I love Jan. She is smart, sassy, and an actual good person. This book was definitely not "supernatural softcore porn." There was a fantastic story in there. And the sex scenes were just a well-written bonus. They didn't drag on like a lot of books. Nikki Sex has quite the imagination. I also really loved the narrator. I have listened to a few other audiobooks that she has done and I was always impressed. Her voice just fits these books so well. She doesn't always pronounce things perfectly, but nobody does. She was awesome! I cant wait to start the next one!
I wasn't really sure about this book choice when I started it, I mean demons? But I was pleasantly surprised to have most of my preconceived ideas proven wrong. The lead female character is fantastic, she's strong and aware and a survivor. The other characters work to create unusual situations and interesting interactions.
The story line is unexpected with twists and left field happenings. Really good to listen to I finished it in one session I just couldn't stop.
The narration is well done, great character voices and accents and the delivery was enjoyable and natural.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher in exchange for an honest review.
Sigh... I liked but I didnt... there was much about the story that I liked. The idea of the story was a good one and I can not pin point exactly why I'm on the fence... I think I found squirrels along the way during the long tangents she wld go into as inner thoughts, descriptions or flashbacks. Descriptive writing is good to a point but if it gets so long that u forget the point of the description then it defets the point. I wld say overall not bad maybe better to read I listened to the audio and found my mind wandering alot then I would have to rewind because I wld have no idea who's "thoughts" were being revealed. I wld say 3.5 stars maybe 4 idk
I liked the plot a lot. A girl possessed by a demon trying to teach him to be good. Very nice. That's that writing style that I liked most, I just though that sometimes the story seamed to be written by isolated chapters, or being more that a single book... Another thing that could be improved is the narration. Not that Sarah is a bad narrator, on the contrary, but in this kind of story I find that sometimes she failed to be convincing... She didn't fully impersonate the character. Still a very good story with just enough drama. One of my favourite characters was actually the dog - too bad his role in the story is so small.
Honestly, the book isn't that bad, but the narrator is awful. Like really really bad. I don't think she's ever actually read a book before. It's full of awkward pauses (I imagine her turning the page mid-sentence), monotone dialogues, and embarrassing mispronunciations. She pronounces the T in "rapport". Wanton is wonton, like the soup. Segue is just seg, no way. Heady is heedy. It's so bad. I'm honestly embarrassed for her.
I really like that this book has literally everything paranormal jam packed into this. My one annoyance is she was heavily sex crazed for everyone. Granted it was her demon but it was confusing on who her main man is. I sometimes am ok with reverse harem but this didn’t feel like that and I think it was mostly to show the cravings of a demon. Anyways that is what made me lower this to a 4 instead of a 5 star.
