Frankly, this book is written for lazy people who want to get slim, who don't like to exercise, but who do like to eat. If you want to reduce without starving— If you want to look and feel better while you're getting slim— If you want to eat the kinds of foods that will reduce you faster than others— If you wonder what vitamins can really do for you— If you don't want to break your back with exercise— If you are curious to know what diet has to do with zest, beauty, glamour, and—yes, really—sex appeal— Then this book is respectfully addressed to you. It is based on the latest findings of scores of outstanding scientific workers in the field of nutrition, translating their discoveries into usable, easily understood form. To begin with, you can be positive that you are going to succeed in getting slim
For being from the 1930's, this book got literally everything correct. I didn't find a single flaw in any other weight loss ideas it presented and I'm astounded that none of the knowledge has changed.
