Don't Turn Back

From the very beginning, there was something about him. From the mysterious way he appeared in my life to the smooth words he spoke, he knew just how to reel me in.

I gambled everything.

I believed him when no one else would.
Until I no longer recognized the person staring back at me in the mirror. My life was spiraling out of control.
I thought I could change him and help make him a better person, but I was wrong.

I thought he loved me.
This was supposed to be about us.
But I’m starting to wonder if it’s all about him and nothing to do with me.

Never Look Back

He was trouble—full of nothing but lies and deceit.

In the beginning, everything was perfect. Little by little, though, it all started to unravel. At first, I felt sorry for him. But how can you continue to feel sorry for someone who doesn’t want to better themselves, who lives in their own little fantasy world, and who’s perfectly content blaming others for their own failings?

The night I finally came to my senses was a night I don’t think I’ll ever forget. Never, in my wildest dreams, did I expect to walk away from everything. And when I say everything, I literally left it all behind—my home, my job, my friends, my life.

Through sleepless nights, threatening phone calls, and living in constant fear, I managed to survive. With help from someone who wasn’t afraid to put themselves at risk, I discovered I could live again.

I also realized that I could love and trust again, too.

Heart of the Matter

Years.

Fifteen, to be exact.

That’s how long it’s been since you’ve been gone from our lives.
So, why then, does an illness, an email, or a phone call suddenly make you feel you’re entitled back again? Are we supposed to welcome you with open arms and pretend nothing ever happened?

She believed in second chances in Don’t Turn Back. Then, after her life was ripped to pieces and mended again in Never Look Back, will she find the strength to forgive again in Heart of the Matter?

Captivating read!

Wow this series is full of ups and downs. A lot of heartache, love, and fear leaves you glued till the end. This is my first series by Amy, can't wait to see what's next!
