So excited to read Kyle's story. After becoming such a huge part of Ari and Dane's life and a part of their little family while protecting her I was hoping he would find the love of his life. Not to mention I always want to know more about the other characters I am already invested in.
Kyle has been getting together with Grace from the bar that Ari booked events at but he just cannot seem to commit to a relationship with her beyond friendship. He's seen what happens when you love someone like Ari and Dane love each other and he wants that lightning strike of a moment.
When he almost runs over a lady and sends he sprawling backwards he jumps out to see if she is OK to be face to rump with her as she is gathering her things from the ground. When she turns her head and he sees Tamara, Ari's best friend, he has that moment.
The problem comes in on their first date when a man starts a commotion at the restaurant and then calls Tamara names and throws wine in her face because she broke up his engagement. He then decides to stalk her and do a lot more damage.
Kyle and Dane finally have an honest man to man conversation with Kyle coming to a very important realization. Will Tamara stick around and see what happens or will she leave and go back to London?

"Burning Obsession" is a stand-alone romance thriller. It continues with Kyle, a character which was omnipresent in the first three books of the burned series (which focused on Ari and Dane). Kyle was always a bit of the third wheel, but an incredibly loyal friend who had feelings for Ari- which led him to help protect her. Readers who felt for Kyle will love this fourth book which makes Kyle the main character and gives him his own epic romance.
Kyle is over Ari and trying to get back into the dating scene. He can't convince himself to take the plunge until he runs into Tamera, whom he knew from officiating Ari and Dane's wedding. Kyle has an instant physical connection with Tamera, and as they spend more time together, it develops into an epic love. The book moves fairly quickly, showing the two getting to know each other emotionally and physically pretty fast. There is some substance shown early as they talk to each other about their past relationships and jobs, so it's not all just action (but there's also plenty of that!).
One of the main elements of the earlier books was the constant danger, and this book carries a similar plot/feeling. When Kyle and Tamera are out to dinner, a crazed man (Harvin) comes and attacks Tamera, claiming she convinced his fiance, Margaret, not to marry him. Tamera doesn't know of a Margaret, although she does do a lot of pre- and post-marriage counseling. Regardless, Harvin's attacks become more frequent and violent. Luckily, Kyle is more than happy to help keep a watch over Tamera and she narrowly escapes a terrible fate a few times. It all happens very logically/believably and comes together in the end (e.g. no crazy heroics or things that seem implausible).
Overall, it's a good, fast read and would be great even for people without experience in this series. It's a solid romance novel, which would make it for mature audiences only, but also has a touch of thriller/mystery to it. If you like those genres, then this one is definitely for you!

After Ari and Dane's story ended I always felt bad for Kyle. Well, Yeah! Kyle got his own story!
Kyle's turn is exciting, tension filled and extremely hot! Prefect for him. The Author did an excellent job of making a story that gave Kyle his happily ever after. He did have to come to the rescue again. This time it is Tamera, who we have met in the series before. After returning from England Tamera is literally almost knocked off her feet by Kyle. Their attraction is white hot and in no time they are taking things to the next level. But, someone is not happy with Tamera and goes after her, where Kyle comes to the rescue. You don't need to have read the other books in this series to enjoy this story, but for those who have it should make you very happy.

I love Burning Obsession! I haven't read the first 3 books in this series that center around Ari and Dane, but there is no need, as Burning Obsession stands on its own. Kyle had been in love with his best friend, Ari, but he's finally over her and ready to get out in the dating scene now that he's realized what he felt for her was really just his protective instincts coming out. But, he hasn't met anyone he really feels that spark with. That is, until he almost runs over Tamera, Ari's best friend and the woman who officiated Ari and Dane's wedding, and it's as if lightning strikes him.
"That was when it happened. Lightning struck. A jolt deep in my gut. Like a physical blow to my midsection. Nearly doubling me over. Rendering me speechless. Something that never happened."
Their relationship moves quickly, but it's not shallow and it's not boring. It's electric, and real, and their connection is sizzling, both emotionally and physically. The physical is steamy, but it's by no means their only connection. They have real, deep conversations in which they get to truly know each other. Then throw in a little suspense and action to go with the developing romance and what you have is a well written, sexy and emotional story tinged with hints of intrigue. Well done, Calista Fox!

I was so excited when I opened my email and found an invitation from the author to read an ARC of this book. I just finished Burned series this book spins off of, and was definitely jonesing for more. Kyle had had a soft spot in my heart throughout the series, and I absolutely loved that this book was first person from his perspective. Tamera has had her eye on Kyle for a while, but he has been too wrapped up in Ari. Now that he has let go of that and reconciled that they are only meant to be friends, he finally notices Tamera. Tamera is beyond thrilled when Kyle finally asks her out, but their date is ruined when an irate man tries to attack her. As he is known to do, Kyle shifts into protection mode. Tamera doesn't mind since the danger continues to escalate as does her desire for Kyle.
I loved getting to check back in with Dane, Ari, and other favorite characters while finally getting a love interest for Kyle. Burning Obsession was intense and loaded with both passion and action right from the start. I was so into it that I read it non-stop. I don't know how Calista Fox can spin any more books out of this series, but I will be thrilled if she does.

Burning Obsession by Calista Fox is another fabulous read. The writer has done it again! She has created another world full of lusty scenes and a compelling plotline. I was hooked. Kyle Jens is the sexy superhero kind of man. Just his presence alone could make any woman melt on the spot. His charming personality makes him the most wanted bachelor. Add his protective bodyguard skills and he's got it all. Kyle has it all...but love. The only part of his life that is missing... He seems to sense this and is at an all time loss on where and what to look for...but then, one specific lady appears out of nowhere. One that changed his life forever. Love is something that you can't live without...and Tamera Fenmore is just that for Kyle. Chemistry burns red hot between characters. There are danger and plenty of action. Readers will fall in love with this novel. Exactly as I have. Burning Obsession is indeed the perfect title to an irresistible story. Calista Fox knew what she was doing when she created this masterpiece. Overall, I recommend this hot romance to readers everywhere.

Kyle was pretty happy with his life he would meet his friends for drinks and appetizers on Friday's and they were trying to get him and Grace together but it wasn't working for him. As he was leaving the gathering he nearly ran over Tamara the woman who officiated his best friend Ari wedding to Dane. When he helped Tamara up the connection between them was electric and he had to as her to dinner. They had barely sat to eat when a drunk guy threw his drink at her and yelled obscenities at her so Kyle had to subdue him. Tamara had never seen him before but he claimed she talked his fiancé into not marrying him but she had never heard of him or his fiancé. Harvin has started stalking her and the more Kyle and Tamara see each other the more worried Kyle becomes about Tamara's safety. Kyle thought he was in love with Ari but with Tamara he knows his is in love with her and Tamara feels so safe with him. This story has a lot of action and danger but also romance and it's a good get your blood pumping story.

Perhaps he could use something to liven it up a bit, like a gorgeous pair of legs...attached to a fantastic ass...and a British accent? Definitely, what the doctor ordered! Well until you throw in the crazy...
It's an entertaining story. I missed that it was book four in the series but don't let that stop you. The author explains the highlights so you are caught up.

The character of Kyle finally gets his own book and true to character the author made us love him all the more.
Kyle's character is a protector and when he starts dating Tamera, someone he met through a friend the connection is there on more than just a physical level. They talk and get to know each other then the relationship moves ahead rather quickly.
Not only do we have a romance but the element of a stalker type character who keeps attacking Tamera. Luck for her Kyle keeps watch over her when the danger increases. A man believe that Tamera has convinced his fiancee not to marry him and is not at all happy about it.
The plot is written so fluently and the pace moves quickly. This book can be enjoyed by more than romance readers but it does have some naughty moments that are not meant for the younger audience.

I enjoyed this sexy and suspenseful story. It is a fast paced mystery with entertaining characters and lots of passion. When Kyle and Tamara meet, they are attracted to each other and have a wildly passionate relationship. After discovering there is a crazy man after Tamara, Kyle insists on protecting her. Kyle is a bodyguard and protective by nature and he does everything within his power to keep Tamara safe. I liked both Tamara and Kyle and there is a lot of chemistry zinging between them. This is the fourth book in the Burned series and each book is a standalone.

I'm so glad that Fox gave Kyle his own story. The man is too young and too fine to only watch Amsel for the rest of his life. I liked that Tamera was his match, although I felt bad for Grace. You know she was hoping and praying for him to ask her out...
I liked the intrigue in this one...although some of the things done to Tamera kinda broke my heart. And the fact that we were only able to see it through Kyle's eyes made it even more heartbreaking in a way.
Overall, a decent read and good closure for an oft-abused character.

This is Book 4 in the "Burned" Series. Burning Obsession by Calista Fox is a very entertaining read. . We know Kyle Jens from the previous book. He is hot and super sexy. He is one the most wanted bachelors but he is having a difficult time finding love until he meets Tamera and the attraction is instant. The chemistry between them is just awesome and I loved their interaction. The book has also a lot of action, suspense, angst and all I need to really love a book!

Yeah, Kyle finally got his HEA and with who I wanted him to end up with. Of course, there's a crazy stalker after her, and all the gang gets involved in helping save her. Now it's Danes turn to help protect Kyle's woman. Ari is hilarious putting knee pads and a helmet on Kid while he's leaving to walk. What's next, get Kyle to install a GoPro on it.

Kyle and Tamera' story sizzles then ignites with romance, steamy sex and plenty of suspense. They're witty and sarcastic, and throughout the wild ride they're facing together, they stay true to each other and come out the other side more or less intact. Great, quick read with interesting characters and a story that comes full circle.

Great Read! Kyle is a sexy body guard trying to get back in the dating scene and Tamera is counselor who is in trouble. This is a fast paced, suspense filled read and oh so steamy. I was hooked from beginning to end.
