Bayfront Billionaires #1 (Possession)

Filthy and Rich Anthology

Rate this book
Sensually dirty and filthy rich, these five smoking hot billionaire ménage stories will leave you breathless. Includes stories by New York Times bestselling author Opal Carew, Sheryl Nantus, Celia Aaron, Charlotte Stein, and Calista Fox.

Drilled , Opal Carew
When construction worker Danni goes to the latest job site over the weekend to redo some of her crew’s sloppy work, she doesn't expect the billionaire owners of the company, Blake and Evan, to be working overtime as well. What starts out as a flirty invitation to cool down with a swim turns hotter than Danni could’ve ever imagined. Soon Danni finds herself longing for more than a casual fling with her billionaires, but how could they ever want more with a simple construction worker?

Three’s Temptation, Sheryl Nantus
A woman who was torn between her two loves at college graduation—the tattooed bad boy and the star athlete—five years later regrets not choosing them both. When she and the now rival tech billionaires attend the same charity gala, old jealousies and passions return for a night they'll never forget…

Legally Screwed, Celia Aaron
When a lawyer goes into a mundane appointment for estate planning, she has no idea she’s about to meet two super hot best friends who do everything—everything—together. And that what they want more than anything is to have her in their bed, over and over again…

Not Safe for Work, Charlotte Stein
“Employees must maintain clear boundaries between personal and professional relationships and conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to the office…” When Hartford brings in Abel Hernandez as the new CEO for his company Hartford Industries, he's prepared for Abel to shake things up…but not quite like this and certainly not with his personal assistant Amy, the one woman he's always wanted but never taken. He sees them breaking all of his precious rules, and he intends to reprimand them for it. The only problem is, it isn't anger he feels towards his two most trusted employees…it's possession. It's desire.

Possession, Calista Fox

Sylvia Carter’s hot hookup with sexy Seth Lofton—billionaire owner of the Aspen-esque Bliss Mountain Ski Resort in Northern California—is only meant to be a one-night stand. But their explosive chemistry has them continually tangled up in each other. And when Seth’s best friend, hotel magnate Noah Donovan, comes to town, he and Sylvia spark just as passionately.

Seth is considering selling the megaresort just as Noah plans to build a luxury hotel with an award-winning spa, which threatens Sylvia’s new day spa. Their personal agendas create plenty of friction—but a fiery love triangle is a temptation none of them can resist. The emotional intensity is just as strong as the sexual burn, though they’re still at a crossroads with their business dilemmas—until Seth and Noah make a pact to give the woman they’re falling in love with everything her heart desires… But can Sylvia afford to take the bait?

I really should stop buying novella/short story collections. It's very unlikely they're going to rate above average simply because of the inherent unlikelihood of five authors writing what I find to be good or great books one after the other. That's probably even less likely with erotica which is a very personal thing.

But hey, I wasn't going to pass up five ménage stories for less than £2, including a Charlotte Stein.

Kind of wish I had though, because the Stein was the only one of these that worked for me, sadly.

It's pretty hard [heh] to do ménage erotica, but here we have the added idea that it must be that oldest [ok, since 50SOG] of erotica chestnuts: zillionaire heroes. To which I ask: Why? But, equally, if you're going to do it: do something with it. Make it a part of the story, rather than just a couple of rich guys plying a professional woman with drinks and nice tasting food (they didn't get past starters, mind you) until she relents, putting her job in certain jeopardy whilst they do it. Like: this is Not Hot and this is the plot of one of these stories.

None of them do much with the concept and none of them are particularly hot. The sex was too rushed and there wasn't enough character building, which can be done in this sort of word count because Stein manages it in her contribution.

I'm disappointed no one made the woman a billionaire.

In fact, I'm just disappointed, period.

Not normally a big menage fan, but I do love Opal Carew so I had to read this anthology. My favorite actually ended up being the last one because really....there's not much hotter than two men who aren't afraid to touch each other. On top of that prim and proper going to the wild side. I really sweat through that one!

I really purchased this boxset for two of my favorite authors - Sheryl Nantus and Charlotte Stein.

After reading 2/3 books of the Hooded Pleasures series, "Three’s Temptation" by Sheryl Nantus was a good story about Emily getting a second chance with both Blake and Dane - who knew a gala could be a wonderful reunion!

"Not Safe for Work" by Charlotte Stein - well, it's a given it's going to be good. Office billionaire co-worker romance done right. Amy finds herself in more than compromising position between Thomas and Abel at work.

If you read at work be prepared to blush. Or maybe read at home instead . . . even better if someone reads them to you!

Leah Waverley is an associate at a law firm, and she’s late for a meeting that she shouldn’t be attending on her own with the firm’s two richest clients.
I froze , trying to rationalize some way out of running an estate - planning meeting with Gaines Everett and Cade Robins . They owned Legacy Industries , an umbrella corporation that had its hand in every pie from government defense contracts to sugary children’s cereals . This was too big for me . I was just an associate . (Kindle Locations 1566-1568).

When she realises that they are even more attractive in the flesh than the many photos she’s seen in the gossip mags, she’s in trouble. When she drops her papers and they see more of her than she’d planned for picking them up, she’s in even more trouble.
They invite her to explain her strategy over dinner. And it is her strategy; her supervising partner is distracted and has left it all up to her.
It’d be unprofessional to go, but something about the way both men look at her has her accepting.
***
Oh thank goodness, a realistic portrayal. Leah has dreams but they have to wait until she can pay off her student loans.
Of course sacking her temporarily won’t work for Ethics, but I’ll allow it. *grins*
And when the boys want to just throw money at her problem and take care of it, she has a fit. Yay!
“ Talk about it ? I met you two yesterday , and all of a sudden you know what’s best for me and think you have the right to tell me what to do with my life ? ” The sheer absurdity of it hit me and I started to giggle . My laughter caught in my throat when I realized that this little fantasy of the three of us playing house was over . “ I’m leaving . ”

No, Leah, go back. Use your words.

I was clearing out boxed sets and this was in ‘Filthy and Rich: A Billionaire Menage Romance Box’. I enjoyed it and I’ll be looking for more.

Merged review:

Possession is part one of the Bayfront Billionaires but it isn’t listed on GR separately. The other works in this boxed set are and I’ve reviewed them in their own listings.

Sylvia Carter and her bff Chloe are about to open a small spa and beauty parlour in Bayfront. They’re foster home kids who have had a rough time but deal with stuff together and they both feel this is a fresh start after years of working but not owning their own place. At an opening party for the new ski resort up on Bliss Mountain, Sylvia meets Seth Lofton, the ex-Olympian skier and owner of the resort. They fall into bed together and it rocks both their worlds. He wants more but Sylvia doesn’t do relationships, and won’t even stay overnight.
The next day she meets a man who sets off the same kind of reaction she had to Seth. He asks directions to the coffee shop.
Chloe sees his so handsome face in the newspaper; he’s Noah Donovan and he’s in town to break ground on his new hotel.
And it has a spa ten times the size of Sylvia’s.
She runs to the coffee shop to confront him but he’s meeting his bff, Seth.
“Seth.” She ground her teeth a moment, then asked, “You know this guy?”
“As a matter of fact I do,” Seth told her in a somewhat amused tone—mostly because he was used to Noah pissing women off one way or another. Usually because Noah had forgotten to call or send flowers after he’d fucked them. Noah had a short attention span. It was never anything personal. (Kindle Locations 3250-3253).

But Sylvia has Noah’s attention, now.
***
A week later Seth invites them both to dinner. They come to a HFN arrangement which kind of works and a business contract that definitely works. This is m/f/m with no touching between the guys. Not even a hint of it.
I think what kind of makes me blink, is that I’d almost expect the threesome to be Sylvia, Seth and Chloe. If that makes sense.

My Review:
Possession, a novella contained within Filthy and Rich: A Billionaire Menage Romance Box Set by Calista Fox is the first story in her Bayfront Billionaires series of novellas. This is a series of Menage stories that can be read fast and don't hold back on passion, heat, or intensity. Sylvia, Seth & Noah's intense interactions and ability to be open and caring and make such a complicated affair work is well-planned and well-written. Enjoy!

Everything's better with 3!

These are some of the best menage stories around!
Each of the five full length stories had something different to offer, and they were all wonderful.
I'm most familiar with Celia Aaron, and her offering "Legally Screwed", had exactly what I expected and hoped for...a strong yet feminine heroine, wicked humor, some seriously hot sex, and two very delicious heroes!
I'm happy to have found some new-to-me authors as well. If menage is your thing, or if you're looking for something new to try, you won't be disappointed with this set!

Well not bad

It was as expected short stories that develop quickly. They were mostly one point of view. Some worked some were ok none were terrible. This is a good book when you need something different.

It's always hard to rate these because some stories are better than others. I'd say the Charlotte Stein one at the very end was the highlight. The others were just ok, not great.
