Estranged from her cousin Sean, who traveled with her to study, she endeavors to master the routine of a high society lady. Determined not to let circumstances dampen her enthusiasm for life, it isn't long until she's smack-dab in the middle of her own adventure and making new friends.
Reese Middleton has always taken wealth and privileged for granted, but has grown bored with the constant indulgent party life-style he and his friends are accustomed to. Mistakes are special

Well we are at the last daughters story. Mae is unique, but certainly special. Her Father, Joshua, decides to send her to Boston for schooling, under the care of his sister, Jemma. It's against his better judgement, but Mae needs to learn to calm down and have a purpose in life. Aunt Jemma is mean and doesn't want Mae to do anything that isn't ladylike and proper. Mae makes friends with Melinda and her brother Reese, but Reese has stronger feelings than friendship for Mae. When her Aunt tries to force her into a marriage, she gets Reese to help her get home to Wyoming. Its a long journey, but the sun will shine down upon them. Great finish to the six daughters lives.

The cowgirl and the gentleman

I absolutely love this series. Mae is sent to Boston to go to school and learn the finer points of being a society lady. She chances to meet Melissa and her brother Reese while riding in the park and finds a kindred spirit. Aunt Jemma has other plans for her niece, and Mae learns of her plans to marry her to a man old enough to be her father, Mae turns to her friends for help. Reese rides to the rescue, and escorts Mae home. Will Mae ever realize how much she means to Reese? Or will the gentleman end up leaving his "friend"?

Reese and Mae Lynn

Mae was the sixth of the gentleman's daughters and very first and head strong. She was sent to Boston to live with her aunt Jenna to be schooled in being a "lady". Reese was her friend Mel's brother and was secretly studying medicine in college. He was very protective of his sister and she and Mae were always needing his help with something. Will their be a happily ever after ending to this story. You will enjoy reading to discover the answer.

Sweet Romance

This was a delightful romance about a heroin with a different personality. She is staying with an aunt back east who is almost complete opposite. This leads to much of the conflict in the book. The characters are well-developed, with some interesting works and events that keep the story interesting and different.

A Great Series Ending

Mae, the youngest daughter has reached a marriageable age. Her Aunt, Jerusalem, has her husband already picked out for her. Mae is totally unaware that she is loved by someone near to her. How this threesome is resolved makes this story extremely interesting.

A sweet, clean Western Romance in which we follow Mae's adventures in Boston where she is sent to help this wild child learn to be a lady and get an education. Along the way she becomes best grinds with Melissa Middleton and her brother Reese. Reese is smitten, but Mae doesn't know he exists. This was great read due to Mae's adventurous nature and the devious drama provided by her aunt.

Great series

Having read all six books. I can say they are entertaining and centered around an imaginative family. Needs serious editing, but this doesn't take away from the stories.

She was sent to Boston for better but it wasn't

Her aunt wanted to use her but she didn't get her way. All her aunt thought about was money. The story showed how other things were more important.

Wonderful entertaining. A coming of age and the loss of innocence. This is a well written story as are all the rest in the Cattleman's Daughters series.

Wonderful

The sixth book was as great as all of the other five books. Full of faith, love and hope. The story brings out the fact that money does not buy love and happiness.

The Cattleman's Daughters

I just finished the series. Loved it! Always hate for a good series to end. Feel like a little something has Been and lost from my life. This was a well written series, all tied together nicely. A very deversified family each with its own story.

This books shows the closure of the series, but it also opens up some other questions. It was just as good as the other 5.

I'm still a little confused with what the original promise Joshua James made.
