I'm not a fan o first pov but i gave it a chance because the summary was catching . So, i must be sincere with my review. I adore native american historical romance but this one did not do me justice.
First i didn't like the fact that the story was too rushed in Vanessa's prespective. It took zero time to develop any kind of feelings. She was defiant which was good but instantly she already liked him and wanted him and so on and on. Second, Shadow Hawk was more likable than any character. Even more than Vanessa. But he being a chief he was more inclined to be a prince charming than actually show that his position in the tribe meant respect and bravery. This book was more of telling than showing. Now, i'm not saying that is bad thing but a little showing is a great dose of serotonin, and this work had none. It kinda gave me the impression of a ...."pick me" vibe and fairytale with too sugarcoating in it. I will give it a chance and read it later but i don't think i will give it any type of praise. I just wished this had more plot than being stuck in a back and forth situation.
