To Catch a Husband by Laura Marie Altom is the fourth in her U.S. Marshals series, but I enjoyed it without having read any of the prior stories. It's about U.S. Marshal Charity Caldwell and fellow marshal Adam Logue, with whom she's been in love with for years while he's completely friend-zoned her. Adam's first love was shot and died in his arms despite his best efforts, and he's reacted by shutting down completely on the idea of ever considering a romantic relationship again.

Adam recognizes that Charity is his best friend, but while Charity loves spending time together, it's killing her by inches to continue to do that while her internal clock is sounding alarm bells. She determines to move on, and her sister gives her a bit of a tune-up to help her show off her feminine side. Naturally this new side of Charity catches Adam's eye also, and we experience some serious whiplash as these two try to navigate a new world.

Adam's well-meaning (meaning meddlesome ;) ) family gets in on the action, and To Catch a Husband is a page-turning, rollicking ride into the sunset.

The only problem I think I really had with this book was that fact that it kept going around and around. Ya know what I mean? If you stop the merry go round once and it just happens to start up again then ride it through but at some point enough is enough and ya gotta jump off. My analogy may not make sense to some but I know what I mean lol.

3.5 stars. I liked the book, it had some funny scenes in it. The main characters had a few times were they were very wishy washy with their thoughts and actions, and I found that it distracted from the characters and the story line.

Great story!

This was a really cute love story. Unrequited love is terrible, at least for the one who loves. But if things go well, all sides win. This does not happen most of the time. in this lovely story however, Laura Marie Altom makes Charity's dream come true. It is an enjoyable story.

This was the last in a series of 3 books. I was glad she got her man. While they were very entertaining to read they were a little out there. It just proves how clueless men are in general, I guess! Wish I could land a billionaire...

One of the boys

Charity loves her job and loves Adam. Adam is so screwed up from his past and can’t crawl out. Came they over come what’s ahead or will they crash and burn?
