By the conclusion of this volume, I had already gone online to purchase all volumes that have currently been released in English. Love it. In this volume, Chigusa, Narushige, and Rakan really come together as a team/family unit. They begin to realize that despite their differences in background and skill, they all share similar sorrows and loneliness. Rakan is orphaned, and becomes poignantly aware of how lonely he has been now that his loneliness dissipates thanks to the friendship and companionship of his new friends. Chigusa's story also becomes a bit clearer - the last member of a dying race committed to killing the evil prince in his own world. Chigusa at first believes he is drawn to Rakan simply because he is a precious sanome, but he begins to reconnect with all of the human emotions he long ago subverted to move along his own lonely path. And Narushige is the only male born to a line of people who only see merit in females...and thus he has always been seen as a cursed life and has been treated as an outcast. With Chigusa and Rakan, he begins to see his own self worth and finds even he has a reason to live. At the end of the volume, we have the arrival of another "outcast" who will undoubtedly become a part of this growing family. I'm looking forward to seeing the character connections grow and seeing Rakan establish a more definitive connection to this other world...

NO!

Espero no me decepcione.

No sé porque tiene esa portada el manga porque la verdad es que no lo asocio mucho con la historia en si, en cuando a la posición que tiene cada uno y eso de llevarlo con... ¿Correa? Debe ser una cuestión de marketing, pero no es necesario.

A seguir leyendo !

This is such a great series thus far, although I only have the first 2 volumes, and there are at least 21 at the present time! This book is honestly delicious, mainly because it depicts 3 men that are so totally unalike, yet find common ground in the fact that they don't actually come from Earth, and each man has an important job to do (which I believe the magnitude of which is just beginning to be revealed). There is no sex, which is honestly a bit of a relief, because I find sometimes that when the main characters have sex, or menage (which is SO NOT my favorite), the plot (if there was one) tends to disintegrate some, and the tone changes a bit. Now, that's not to say that all yaoi/BL manga is that way----a lot aren't. And I'm not a premier expert, but I've read a few, and there are some where sex helps/enhances the story line, and some that it's too much of a distraction for me. This manga also explained the terms used commonly in BL manga, which was a great relief, because it's better to read the author's translations of words, rather than finding them on the internet and inferring the meaning, and you may be way off! I can't wait to get my hands on more of the series!!

I kind of want to hug everybody for how they're all used to being disconnected from other people, and I find all the main characters interesting. Koh seems pretty Muppet-like, which isn't a complaint.

This series is seeming more and more to me like it will end in Rakan having a harem. *g*

Tohji gave me something of a Kami-sama vibe. And is it wrong of me to wonder if the imperial prince "cured" his blindness just by telling him to take off the blindfold? I'm interested in seeing how he'll fit in with our odd little group of male models misfits.

In the next volume Chigusa will increase his effort to "seduce" Rakan? Poor Rakan. I foresee him making a lot more meals and doing a lot more housework to avoid thinking about it.

In the last couple of years, I could never really bring myself to care for fantasy plots. Which is why I'm surprised by how much I'm loving this. It's really the characters' fault - so far all of them are extremely likable, interesting and even relatable (well, that last bit may be an exaggeration). I love how they are all basically outsiders who come together as a new family. It's also quite funny at times. And when I compare this to the other fantasy manga I've been reading ("Fesseln des Verrats"), the main character especially makes all the difference: Rakan is *great*. Truly wonderful stuff, I can't seem to stop myself reading. (Aaand there goes my resolve to not spend all my pocket money on manga again this month. Dammit.)

man i like rakan so much

like i keep comparing this to uraboku because i feel like he's what odagiri hotaru was trying to create with yuki except you know, rakan manages to be a sweetheart without ever hitting off the cloying alarm

plus the bit were he gets embarrassed over the whole emotional display last volume was cute and made him feel realer. also i really enjoyed that his response to chigusa's seduction! announcement was just to nope out and ignore it entirely. xD bro, that's exactly how i deal with people throwing too much emotion out too soon!

so yeah, add the bit where rakan is my boy to the found family feels this volume is trading in and i see this series becoming a favourite

Another fun installment. Chigusa is uncomfortable with the 'feelings' Rakan arouses in him and wants to stop liking him so that he can take him back to the other world without feeling guilty. A third dimension traveller appears, the loyal servant of the evil prince who has sent him on a mission to kill Rakan, but what he didn't tell the assassin was that Rakan is a precious Sanome (plant mage) - nice art, interesting characters, will be fun to see how this series pans out.

I am enjoying this story a lot. Shonen-ai in its best light. The new characters are so fun as the second main character. The mystery around the second main character makes you want to continue reading till you've figured out what is going on. The villains are good too. They seem to be on the common side but continue reading you started to get the impression that there is a lot more behind the story.

I don't know why but I keep comparing this manga to The Betrayal knows My Name, because Rakan seems to be forming a sort of army without noticing it and I can guess that there will be more in the future than the four here. The characters are still interesting and it is fun to see Rakan interact with them.
