My chess has been tested and found wanting! This book was difficult but very fun. I was easily spending two hours or more on each of the 20 games. I think his judgment is fair and provided a lot of analysis on feasible lines. However, I would like to see how a GM processes a game in this collection.

Some I did well and felt I saw almost everything. Others like the first Shirov game I still do not feel I understand at all. I almost feel like it is using tactics and calculation to try and escape a poor position, but regardless you have to see very deep to play like this and I want to understand it better.

I'll be going back to some of these games for sure.
