Here we go again, folks! I love, love, love box sets and this one is a real fan-dab-dozy doozey! It includes several stories I've already read from some of my all-time favorite authors like A. K. Michaels (Deceit & Lies: Book One of The Black Rose Chronicles), Krystal Shannan(Chasing Sam: Book One of Vegas Mates Series), Lisa Carlisle(Darkness Rising: Prequel to Chateau Seductions Series), Monica La Porta(An Immortal Christmas: Book Nine of the Immortals Series) and Julia Mills(Saved By Her dragon: Book Five of the Dragon Guard Series). If you've never read The Black Rose Chronicles series by A.K. Michales, you're in for a real treat. It's one of the best series I've ever read with a kick-butt witch/wolf hybrid assassin heroine and a handsome, charismatic alpha vampire hero that will surely make you swoon. Saved By Her Dragon by Julia Mills is the fifth release in her ongoing fifteen book Dragon Guard Series and another of my all-time favorites. I've read every single book in this series and loved them all. If you love brave, loyal heroines and courageous, selfless, drop dead sexy dragon shifter heroes who battle evil and protect their mates above all else, then this is one series you don't want to miss. What can I even say about Krystal Shannan and Chasing Sam? It's just plain sexy and delicious, and a great beginning to her delightful Vegas Mates Series, another of my favorites. If you love wolf shifters, this is a must read! And just for the record, Sam is a female wolf shifter! Hubba! Hubba! I adore Phoenix Johnson and Gina Kincade and they have a wonderful collaboration(At First Sight) included that I truly loved. I've read their work individually in the past but their contribution to this set is a story I'd never read. I would have paid more than 99 cents for their story alone. And yes, I did say that I'd read several of these stories prior to the publication of this set but I bought the collection anyway. As I mentioned, several of these authors are already my favorites. I've been following their work for years and have read everything they've written, so why would I purchase them again? Well, it's really quite simple. There's actually two very good reasons. First, some of the stories I read using the Amazon Kindle Unlimited program so I didn't get to keep a copy for my permanent library but now I do! Second, I love trying the work of new authors and what better way than a convenient collection of stories priced much lower than I could have purchased them individually. Any one of these stories would be 99 pennies and more if purchased separately. I freely admit, loud and proud; I'm a bargain shopper and I always jump at the opportunity to purchase a collection of well-crafted stories at a great price. I've also found quite a few to add to my favorites list by sampling the work of new-to-me authors in box sets. I've literally been chomping at the bit to try Melissa Snark, P.T. Macias, Lori Whyte, Lynn Tyler. And so glad I did! I've now added them to my list of favorites. Folks, I can honestly say, there isn't a bad apple in this entire barrel. They're all fabulous! None of these stories are full-length novels; they're novellas. Most of the books are part of an ongoing series but can actually be read as standalones. Several of them I would not recommend as standalone reads but will give you enough of the story for you to determine whether you would like to continue the series. If you're looking for a sampler collection of ten exciting, riveting, romantic, sexy and beautifully written stories by eleven very talented authors, then this set is calling your name! Did I like this collection? No, I LOVED it! Would I recommend it? You bet and I am! Was I entertained? Oh my gracious, yes! Read them all and loved them all! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

Saved by Her Dragon by Julia Mills

Devon's mate is in a hospital bed in a coma but some how the fates have given them the unique ability to mind speak before they are even mated. Of course she does not really know that he is her mate or vice versa.
Anya finally awakens thanks to the help of Kyra and Devons mother and all the prayers from all the clan.
She is a feisty female for sure but is so in love already with Devon.
Her memories of what happen start to unfold and sure enough it’s that dreadful Andrew who was behind everything.
This book has so many shockers and the HEAT between this couple is off the charts.
Question remains Will they get Andrew this time?
And what will they all think when they learn what Anya truly is?
There is one huge shocker at the end of the book!


The Black Rose Chronicles: Deceit and Lies by A K Michaels

Rose is born in a time where supers are free to walk the earth but more than that, they are free to destroy it all as well. Rose's mother is a witch and her father a werewolf and someone is out to destroy all witches. Rose is soon taken to a friend of her father’s home his name is Seth and he is a witch. He trains Rose, and comes to love Rose although he knows she is not his mate.
Rose is a powerful Assassin and is hired by the council to take out those who are killing and doing other horrible things. She does not kill however until she knows it is a warranted need.
The new head of the council is a powerful demon and after taking on the job, Rose finds she cannot follow through with it.
Cassius the vampire she is sent to kill does not seem to be as he is portrayed.
Can Seth, Cassius and Roses father keep her safe?
What will the head of the council do to her?

New to me author.
In this story we get Camelia who is having to marry but not for love and the man doesn't even want a female. But Quintilius has no other option for them but to marry or does he?
Well centuries later Camelia is apart of a large family of different paranormal beings. Things have changed and although it has she still awaits her soul mate. She is now in Washington State and hopes to leave the misery of Rome behind her. Well Constantine will make his appearance to her although she knows everything about him. His smell, his look, he is her love. But can she get over his betrayal? And will Constantine realize she is not with Quintilius? Can this couple find their way to each other and realize they both want the same thing?
I enjoyed this short story.

An Immortal Christmas by Monica LaPorta

Constantine Castillo DeLaVega is a werewolf who recently became a hero after rescuing a girl from being raped. The problem with that is now he is known and his goal to remain in the shadows is over and he will be forced to relocate again. He senses his mate close by but his heartbroken when he sees her kissing her husband.

Camelia has been in love with Constantine for centuries but due to her family they were kept apart. She has chosen to remain with her best friend Quintilius through the years but is still yearning for her past love.

When Constantine and Camelia discover each other will they be able to set the wrongs of the past right? Will they finally have a chance to get their happily ever after?

Camelia has been a character that I have been intrigued about for a long time and I am so happy that I have finally learned more about her. Her past is full of conflict within her family and again we get a touch of the jealousy that Iris had towards her.

Constantine had a deep love for Camelia and would have done anything for her. I hated how they were kept apart, knowing how strong their love was when they were young.

The end was sad and happy at the same time and I can't wait for more from this series!

Hunger Moon by Melissa Snark

Victoria Storm is a werewolf that has reluctantly turned into an Alpha after most of her pack was killed by hunters. She will do anything to keep them safe which has led her to Sierra Pines, CA in hopes of finding an Alpha that can provide for her pack.

Arik Koenig is a lawyer in Sierra Pines, CA and is an alpha to his son, Logan. The two try and keep a low profile in town which has been hard since the death of his wife, Lori.

When Victoria comes to town she knows that secrets are being kept and as she tries to keep her pack safe she may be in over her head with all the mystery that surrounds Arik and Logan. Will Victoria be able to help Arik and Logan solve the mysteries of the past or is she just putting her own pack in danger?

This was a very interesting book dealing with paranormal elements. This was the first book I have read in the series so I was intrigued by Victoria going to Asgard and how that worked.

I definitely thought something was up with the death of Lori and I wasn't surprised with the revelation of who was behind everything. There is still one thing that hasn't been dealt with in regards to Logan and Victoria and I hope that it will be in the next book.

Looking forward to more!

Saved by Her Dragon by Julia Mills

Devon Walsh is a Guardsman and dragon shifter who has found his mate in the hospital, although he has never met her before.

Anya Sloane is in a coma due to some unknown forces that seem to be preventing her from waking up. When she finally wakes up will she be ok with everything she is presented with or will she try and escape from under Devon's care?

When Devon learns who is behind Anya's attack will they be able to get the traitor in time or is he likely to escape from them again?

I enjoyed this story and this is the first one that I have read from this author. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more in this series and I didn't feel as though I was missing anything major. I think I would have liked to know more about what happened with Andrew but I was not feeling like I had to know to read the story.

I found it interesting that Devon found his mate without knowing her and I'm not sure what brought him to the hospital. I've read enough shifter books to understand the pull of the mate so I understand that part fully but I don't think it explains on how he locates Anya in the hospital to begin with.

I loved learning more about Anya and then it will definitely be interesting to see where everything goes with the prophecy and if she is involved more. Devon was a pure Alpha male and I loved how protective he was of her.

I love their whole sense of community and I think that is a huge part of why I will go back and learn more about their group. They had their hands in a little of everything and they all worked so well together.

AN IMMORTAL CHRISTMAS by Monica La Porta
Can a soul deep love torn apart by tradition and responsibility ever be reunited to restore happiness to Constantine and Camelia ?
The despair felt by these torn apart lovers at times brought tears to my eyes, will they be able to find each other again before it's too late and death separates them forever, this question kept me riveted till the end.

HUNGER MOON by Melissa Snark
Wow this is not your run of the mill werewolf read, with Shamens, trips to Valhalla, a witches curse, possession, wraiths, this story has it all and more.
I'd not read this author before but I certainly will again, the more I read the more I wanted.
A great read to sink your teeth into.

SAVED BY HER DRAGON by Julia Mills
These smoulderingly sexy dragon shifters are out to catch the traitor that threatens those they love.
As the Dragon guard come together with their allies to meet Andrew's threat head on, Devon is also getting to grips with finding his mate but no one could have expected what would be revealed of who/what Anya really is !
If you like dragon shifters then you'll love this series. If you haven't read only of them yet then you're missing out, no one writes dragons quite like this author.

ACCIDENTALLY MATED by Lynn Tyler
Tristan and Jake are adorable together, they are clearly made for each other but the pressure of being Alpha of a pack Tristan believes would never accept a same sex mating cause him to deny Jake as his mate, can they ever recover and find the happiness together they both want ?
A lovely read that easily had me hooked till the very last page.

A k Michaels has truly excelled herself

Rose is a kick ass heroine and Cassius (ancient vampire) and Seth (witch) will be your new book boyfriends, throw in a powerful Demon ( Basilius) with a hidden agenda and with a whole host of other supernaturals added to the mix, believe me when I tell you that you will not want to put this book down till you've turned the last page, (2am I finished)
As for the ending OMFG ! Edge of the seat stuff.
I cannot tell you just how awesome I think this book is except to say it's a must read and 5 stars just isn't enough.

Hunger Moon by Melissa Snark

My favourite Valkyrie is back. With her pack dwindling, Victoria is directed by Freya to a small town with a powerful Alpha. But this Alpha has no pack there is only him and his son. Victoria is then caught between the powerful alpha almost twice her age and his son who is closer in age to her but really annoys her!

There are twists and turns and trips to Valhalla and the really hard task of trying to return a reluctant soul to his body! There are thankfully no cliffhangers but now I'm just itching to know what happens next. Will the Loki mark claim its next soul and turn him to darkness?!!? I love mythology and history so I'm really happy to have found this series.

Saved by her Dragon - Julia Mills

This is much more emotional and heart tugging book than the previous books of the series. There are less bangs and explosions but the story is just as inspiring and poignant, probably more so.

Devon is the white dragon of the Clan. He is a powerful dragon and the last of his line.

Anya, had been captured by Andrew, the traitor, and is in coma when Devon becomes aware of her as his mate. He tends to her within the hospital and tries to mindpseak with her to help her recover. Once released to his care, Kyra conducts a spell to lift the "black fog" which is keeping her from consciousness. Once awoken Anya has little recollection of her life and struggles to recall her name. We learn more about her past as the story develops.

Anya is another strong female character and hates it when the usually emotionally available, level headed Dev goes "Neanderthal". Mind you she has a superb trick to get him back in line tout suite!!!!

"Act like a Neanderthal and throw me over your shoulder again and see what other tricks I have up my sleeve. Paybacks are a bitch, dragon man."

Superb story, great writing and fabulous, snarky, fiesty females and the alphas they bring to heal. What more could I ask for??? I'm dying to know more about wee Sydney after this book. She is such a lively but enigmatic wee thing and an old soul trapped in a new body!!!

Deceit and Lies (Black Rose Chronicles 1) by AK Michaels

Set in a dystopian future rather than a paranormal present day, this book had an entirely different feel. It felt quite dark and gritty but still with the edge of humour you expect from Ms Michaels.

The world has been plagued by a inter-species war and witches have been hunted to almost extinction due to a dark prophesy. Rose is part witch, part werewolf and the survivor of a witch hunt when she was a young child. Left with a guardian whilst her father hunted those who hunted them, she is trained well...too well you could say by her fathers friend, Seth, and becomes a lethally effective assassin - The Black Rose.

She is sought out by the Demon, Basilius, to take down a rogue Vampire, Cassius Allarde, who is seeking to unite all "supers" under his commend and take over the world and hunt humans without regard. But Rose does not follow orders blindly, she researches her targets well and only kills when she knows, without doubt, that they are worthy of death.

When she goes to meet the engimatic Cassius, under the guise of working for him, she is hurt by a "super" and wakes up under Cassius' care. The man she meets has little in common with the intel she has been provided. So Rose gets to work determining the fate of Cassius and his followers before she concludes her assignment.

NO spoilers here but there is a cliffie (damnit!!!). I loved all these new characters. Rose, mysterious hybrid assassin; Seth - Ex Special Forces Soldier and Witch; Cassius - Vampire High Duke and all around hottie and Basilius - the new power hungry Demon leader of the Council (think paranormal UN).

There are also great secondary characters that I hope we see more of in the other books in the series such as Sue and Valentine (who I think are adorably self effacing). There are also a slew of icky bad guys that by the end of the book you will be making up your own tortures to inflict on them (Ms Michaels writes really good slimebags!!!!)

I read this in one go as I could not put it down and it was a well paced story with snappy dialogue and great interplay between the characters - both allies and protagonists! There are also nods to other paranormal authors throughout the book, Ms Michaels is not afraid to highlight the work of other authors to her large fanbase or to take a pop at certain sparklies!

Amazing collection from top-notch paranormal authors!! Some of these are full stories!!

1. An Immortal Christmas – Monica La Porta – 4 stars
Constantine is an alpha werewolf who hears his soulmate call after years alone; only to find her kissing her husband! Camelia was to marry Quintillius as not fulfilling their match would have ruined Camelia’s life causing her to be shunned – although Quintillius is in love with Ludwig, a forbidden match. 159 years later the two men are able to marry, but Camelia’s soulmate has never come for her.

Distraught at her marriage, Constantine has requested to sever the soulmate bond as he could feel her emotions and could not bear feeling her conjugal night. The price was being cast out from his pack, and to keep an ocean between them. If they were ever near each other and not mated by the next full moon, his heart would break and he would die.

We learn the history of all the missed chances, and rules broken with these two soulmates. Touching story – slight whiplash from changing from 1850’s to today abruptly.

2. Hunger Moon – Melissa Snark - 5 stars
We join Victoria, High Priestess of Freya, Lady Valkyrie, shaman and healer, as she has a knife at the ready to kill the Hunter Sawyer, but the ghost of his brother Daniel (her lover and best friend) tells her “no”. They lose Rand in the battle and Victoria accompanies him to Valhalla where she is able to visit her parents. They encourage her to take a mate; for the good of the pack. Her mother had a premonition of a man every bit as strong-willed, stubborn and contrary as she; in Sierra Pines, CA. Her unwelcome prince charming Arik ends up having an even more unwelcome career – lawyer. But when they meet she finds he is a perfect specimen of a man, with a hint of humor.

Arik is hiding something and his son Logan may be a problem. Arik has been a widower for 2 years, but when Victoria speaks to Lori’s spirit she discovers her spirit is tormented and has not passed into the afterlife. Amazingly she ends up working on this with Logan - and a ghoul.

An amazing, complex story of lifemates, goddess’, witches and pack. With danger, mystery and sexiness all wrapped in the need to provide for the pack. A pretty intense read – and everyone may not receive their HEA.

3. Saved by Her Dragon – Julia Mills - 5 stars
Incredible story! Devon has found his mate – unfortunately he found her in a hospital; a lovely young lady in a coma. So with some sleight of hand with paperwork he is allowed to stay by her side as “family”, but doesn’t even know what name to call her. He sits by her side talking to her and keeping a hand on her, as when he is not touching her his dragon protests.

It takes all the family and clan to remedy what ails his mate. Who is she, what is stopping her from waking up, will she recognize him as her mate, and what happened to her to put her in a coma? I’ve had Julia Mills on my TBR list for a while now – and I can see why people love her stories. I’m officially a fan!

This is a great set for a exceptionally small price! I had previously read some of the stories in the box set when they were released singly by the authors, but there were several new stories in the set and some I had not seen before. Some of my favorites from this set were: An Immortal Christmas by Monica La Porta, Hunger Moon by Melissa Snark, The Black Rose Chronicles: Deceit and Lies by A K Michaels & Saved by Her Dragon by Julia Mills. There was not a story in this bundle that was bad and I had a hard time putting it down to get other things accomplished. I would highly recommend this bundle...it has something in it for everyone.

Wow!!! What a fantastic start to an exciting new series AK Michaels. I couldn't wait to read this book and devoured it in one sitting. I just could not put my kindle down and can't wait to get my hands on book 2 :)

An Immortal Christmas by Monica La Porta is a short novel that really fills you with the holiday spirit. A breathtaking story of eternal hope and neverending love, no matter the distance, time or misunderstandings. The heart knows what it needs and wants. Camelia and Constantine's story is both heartbreaking and inspirational. This magnificent author never ceases to amaze me. Her attention to detail and depth in her writing is second to none. I was very kindly given this book and although I was not asked for a review, I would think considerably less of myself if I didn't recommend this novella to other readers out there. If this is the first time you have come across Monica La Porta's work, I urge you to look up the rest of her Immortals series and all her other extraordinary and thought provoking books. I would finally like to thank the author for making my festive season more bearable than I thought it would be.

The Black Rose Chronicles... Deceit and Lies by A.K. Michaels:

Brilliant first book in the new series by A.K.Michaels. Her characters are vibrant, exciting and totally badass. Her storyline is unique and completely exhilarating. I have read a range of books by this author and she never disappoints. Keep a look out for this new heroine, she just might be the toughest of them all. I am now officially stalking Ms. Michaels for the next instalment. Only when I have a copy in my hands will I be able to stop and relax.

OMG phenomenal an unbelievable read. This lady had me in fact I was on pins and needles waiting for the Wolf to bite. Ms. Lori was spectacular from the very beginning, I definitely recommend this book,  This Series Lothian Werewolves ROCKS ! Where's Book 2?
     In a Town of Little Lothian, Adam Sinclair is a Werewolf living in the apartment above the Mad Dog Saloon, he owned and loved he had a good business here with humans and wolves hardly ever did he have a problem but if he did he always had back up. Adam always thought it was funny the town had no idea they were associating with wolves in his bar or the town. He was Pack now it felt good.
     Mary Winston is a Witch at least that's what the older Witches in the Coven told her, It was hard to believe, but Mary joined the Coven, still with no powers. Working at Mad Dog Saloon as a waitress  was thrilling she loved it so much, even dress in skimpy clothes to attract attention from the one man she has always want. Than one night going home her roommate also a Witch  was having  a big party it looked like. Going in her front door Mary froze what was happening? I was gifted this book for an honest and truthful review.

I am reviewing SAVED BY HER DRAGON by Julia Mills:

Devon knows Anya is his mate when she's brought into the hospital unconscious and is in a coma. He hears her mind-speaking and she's asking for help. It's fixed where he can take her to his home and clan where his mother and Kyra (the white witch) can help heal Anya. When Anya awakes, she doesn't remember anything or who she is. His mother and Kyra help her with their magic. Just like all the Dragon Guards he becomes very possessive of her and sometimes goes a little too far. However, Anya is no pushover which he finds out for himself! Love the interaction between these two, because it's a little different than the other stories. There are some hot and heavy love scenes but this time, they wait to consummate their joining until after the mating ceremony.

There is one huge and terrific surprise in this story and I didn't see that one coming! Has twists and turns and some humor as well. As usual, Andrew is still up to his evil tricks (oh I can't wait for him to get his!!!) I just love the little precocious minx, Sydney-can't get enough of her. You should read this series in order since a lot of the characters are brought into each book and you won't be sorry you did-and for the price, you can't go wrong and you'll love them all too!

With each book that comes out in the Dragon Guard series just keeps getting more amazing and just so mind blowing awesome!!!! So that said this fifth book is about Devon and how he find his mate the one the Universe made for him. And the other dragons and their mates are so wonderful in this book to. When Devon find his mate she in a coma and everyone trying to find out why. So as it goes she is awaking and that when Devon Zen world goes upside down. Their love for each other is so amazing. But the is something really special about Anya which is Devon mate but they have yet to find what it is anyone who come near her just love her. I have to say when I found out how special she is that really did shock me but its so freaking awesome what she is.

He knows that the universe has made this beautiful woman just for him. He knows this before he even knows her name.
Anya is under a curse, unconscious and calling out with her mind for help. Devon can hear her, and so can Sydney! I was just captivated by this story and could not put it down. it is constantly one thing after another. I barely had time to take in one twist before the next turn came. There are some subtle clues as to future happenings if you catch them. And one giant mind blowing event that just floored me, So totally unprecedented, that the whole Clan was enthralled. But wait!!!! the very end,, yes it's a cliff hanger, and it's a whopper!
I am already looking for the next installment!!!!

This is a great boxed set; each book in this set is written by a different author. If you love paranormal romances with a hot Alpha then you need to read this set. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. I've just started this set, and went right to the authors I'm familiar with to begin - At First Sight by Phoenix Johnson & Gina Kincade. What a well-crafted story about star-crossed lovers. I can't wait to read them all!

All but one of the books was a good read. The one not so good was full of typos and grammar errors. Some were part of a series and others were stand alone.
