Rate this book
In his sixth book, bestselling author Romuald Andrade tells the story of Mara Acone, a young woman who is constantly battling her demons both at work and at home. Mara is cynical, weary, and frustrated and does not know what to do about it until she meets a psychologist who is able to show her a better way out. But is it too late for Mara? Will she lose the relationships she cherishes in her life? Will she be able to apply the advice to better her current situation? As with all of Andrade's books, this one is filled with actionable advice you can put into effect immediately. In addition to the fable, the book includes a detailed framework examining the root causes of mental frustration and how they can be fixed.

This probably is one of the most unique self-help books I have ever read. Not that I don't enjoy the standard preachy books in this genre, but this book tried something different and has worked beautifully with me. It follows a protagonist who consults a therapist and indirectly directs you into adopting better and more optimistic behaviour. Great book, would've liked it to be a little more detailed though, especially when it turned furtive in some places.

4/5 from me.

I was sceptical when I purchased this book. Since the book is available as Kindle edition for Rs. 0, I though it would not be as good as the rating mentioned by other customers in Amazon.in. But wow, I was in for a splendid surprise. The book takes you through a short story of nurse Mara. Her dealing with people , relationships both in personal and professional life. She meets a therapist who let her over come negative thoughts through various exercises. The author explains simple techniques such as gratitude, affirmations and mindfulness to overcome negativism . The best part is we observe Mara change as a person as she applies these techniques in her everyday life. So we understand these concepts in simple terms.

I recommend this book to all readers irrespective to what situation you are going through in life. Everybody wants to attend mindfulness but it is not as easy to forcefully stopping thoughts to come in our mind. Thoughts are going to fill our mind but we must know the right technique to let it go without forcing it.

This is a very short story with helpful easy techniques to bring a positive change in our life. A must read for sure. Enjoy.
