I have read and enjoyed several of Rie Warren's Carolina Bad Boys. This is a quirky bunch of sexy alpha MC characters that are secretly big teddy bears that go all sweet and tender for their sassy women - women who seem to be a magnet for trouble. Rush was action packed and full of humor, lascivious observations, and highly erotic sensual scenes. Written from the point of view of Max/Handsome, his inner musings frequently focused on the love of his life Shiloh, who kept his libido on high alert and a circus tent in his pants. Max was so sweet and sexy, and now my new BBF. The writing was highly amusing, salacious, scorching hot, and full of fun and invectives. I smirked, gasped, and struggled to catch my breath throughout.

I had been waiting for Rush ... Max Rush to be exact.
Max never had a good life. In fact his family didn't even want him. Troubled and always causing a problem his family disowned him. Finding his own way into the MC is what saved him. They made him the man he is ... He protects with all his heart and lives a life he an be proud of. Hearing his name off the lips of a girl from his past send him into a tailspin that can't be controlled.
Shiloh hasn't seen Max in years. Circumstances kept them apart but seeing him again brings the memories flooding back. Her past is something that cannot be forgotten but her future may just be in the arms of a man who will lay down his life for her.
This book is not your normal MC ... These are amazing men ... Men who you know and new names. They all are fierce in their loyalty and love hard. The brothers banter along with the storyline will keep,you turning the pages. There were some ridiculously heartbreaking moments but that's what we want when we read right?!?!? We want to feel .... That I did.
Rush can be read as a standalone but I would consider grabbing up the first 4 books in the series. You will love being a part of this MC family.
The cover shows the amount of pain you will feel when reading this beautiful tale. The covers are a big deal for me and Rie did an amazing job with this one. Perfect ...

Max "Handsome" Rush is a sexy as sin, badass biker. Shiloh is his innocent and beautiful childhood friend. What happens when she comes strolling into the Retribution MC? Sparks fly!
Rie has done it again. I have loved everything she has written but this is by far her best writing yet!
This book will grab you from the start! You won't want to stop reading. I felt so many emotions with this story. I cried because my heart broke, I laughed because you have to laugh at some of the guys' antics, I fell in love with Max and Shy's relationship! This book was fantastic. It's full of suspense and heartache as well as full blown passion and love. The sex is so hot you will sweat!
This is a must read! You won't be disappointed! 6 stars!!!

Told in Max’s POV never from Shy’s, with a HFN ending and more to come in his sister’s book with the Clubs playboy Tail. My kind of gritty MC romance, drama, brotherhood and friendships, sex with a side of dark to balance out all the flirty fun. These two Shy and Max ‘Handsome’ grew up as neighbors, his sister was and still is Shy’s best friend then Max and Shy became friends until his last time he was in jail and his father paid him off to stay away from their family. Now 7 years or so Shy got the nerve to find Max and hopefully a friendship. Max was fighting his attraction to his ‘friend’ Shy with all his might but she won’t leave him alone until he was mean to her and hurt her feelings. Then he gave in and apologized and then their ‘ship rather friendship or a start of something else started, until her secret is out in the open then his feelings will become different.

What a great MC book. The family bond is so tight with this group. This group isn't made up of wanabes, they are men that have a past, that were broken, or just wanted to be free from what they thought they were going to become. Everyone has a story in this group, but what is nice is that you learn more about each of them through out the story, but also get the main story of the two that the book is based for. There is a lot that goes on in this book and for that I sometimes had to reread to make sure I was reading about the same brother in the story. The details that are put forth in this book is one of those that you hope to learn more and more. The old ladies of the book always seem to be in trouble too. I think I like that because you see how much love the brothers have for their women, how protecting them doesn't come with a cost, it comes with love and devotion. I can't think of another mc that puts their women in danger more than this series. Now before I go on, there is some adult situations in this book that are hared to read about, but the details arent too graphic.
Handsome (Max} left his past behind him years ago. He was a troubled boy, that caused a lot of trouble and his family disowned him. He has made it on his own and found his way to the MC that he is with now. He is very content and feels everything is in place now. I loved Handsome. He is strong, a good guy, and he is there for his brothers. He is a protector of sorts and tries to help everyone he can. He is just an all around good guy. So when he is at the club and hears his name a flash from the past appears before him. Shiloh has not seen Max in forever, so when she sees him she can't wait to see where it will lead. Shiloh is very strong. She has a past also and a lot of things she is hiding, but she knows what she wants and right now that is Max. So what happens when pasts keep popping up on Handsome, when someone else shows up and endangers everything that he loves? Will Handsome be able to figure out everything before it is too late.
There is a lot that happens throughout this book, not only with Max and Shiloh. It is more than a complete book, it details the life of most of the brothers in this book. Sometimes I thought it was too much, but at other times I couldn't get enough. I truly enjoyed reading this book and I am so glad it came across for me to read. I hope to read more from this author.

If you've been reading the series then you know who Handsome is. He's always been kind of the silent one out of the bunch, but pull his hair out of his face and add in a new fitness routine and he has even more ladies drooling than before.
Max (Handsome) was rejected from his family and the lifestyle he once knew, but Retribution is family now and he wouldn't trade them for anything. They're supportive of not only him, but his dreams; the way only family should be. When someone from his childhood appears at the clubhouse one day out of nowhere he's left speechless. No where is the young girl he remembered, and believe me he sure does trying finding her underneath the sexy bombshell she is now.
"Spinning with my hands skimming the excess before it reached my abs, I was heart-stopped by Shy's hungry look. At Me. Oh God. This wasn't gonna end good. I needed a T-shirt. Chains to lock me up. To tase myself, maybe, as she advanced."
Shiloh got dealt a bad hand, but she's doing everything she can to make the best of it. Now she's going after the one thing she's always wanted, but could never have, Max, and she isn't taking no for an answer. She's sweet, loveable, and determined; all the things that spell disaster for Max.
"If I told you you just broke me, would you still let me sleep with you on top of me tonight?"
Once Max overcomes the fact he cares for Shiloh they'll make an unstoppable team. They'll be there for each other, help each other's dreams come true, and even be there when disaster strikes. And disaster definitely strikes. My heart broke for Shiloh and what she goes through.
I don't think I can ever sing enough praise for Rie Warren. Both the Caroline Bad Boys and Bad Boys of Retribution series blends action, suspense, raw emotion, and a sizzling hotness. The characters and storylines intermingle throughout both series and the way it all comes together is pure art. Rush is another example of her greatness.

Wow, I’m an emotional mess after reading this!!! When starting this book, you need to make sure you have plenty of tissue handy!!! My heart was being tugged in so many different directions while reading this book. But it was so well put together and so perfect!! I’d say this is my favorite book in the series… I can’t wait to read more!

I am a HUGE Carolina Bad Boys fan! I love every single one of those books and have been awaiting this one. Max (aka Handsome) Rush is the black sheep of his family after his need for speed and breaking the law meant his father had to bail him out yet again. In fact he is such a black sheep that they have kicked him right out of the family. Who knew that you could mess up and the people who were suppose to love you no matter what just said nope. However the Bad Boys of Retribution MC accept regardless and are not just a family for him but they are proud of him. He needed them more than he knew I think. He has goals and plans that he wants for himself and he is determined to forget his past. Then his little sister's friend Shiloh comes walking through the door and he is reminded of everything he doesn't have anymore.
Shiloh is one determine girl! She is all grown up and has always had a crush on Max. Now she is determined that he is not going to ignore her. He pushes her away but when she decides to flirt with one of the other guys Max's jealously is unleashed in full force. Not to mention the fact that Shiloh is bound and determined to show him that she doesn't need protecting or taking care of. Which of course brings out Max's protective side more than ever.
These two are so great together. Their chemistry is off the chart hot! I thought at one point that my kindle was going to catch fire they were so hot. This was the best ride since I read Boomer's story (he will always be my favorite!) As always Rie Warren takes us and draws us into the story where you feel as though your watching it as it unfolds.

This was the best ride since I read Boomer's story (he will always be my favorite!) As always Rie Warren takes us and draws us into the story where you feel as though your watching it as it unfolds.

I love coming back to the Carolina Bad Boys series. Rush definitely can be read as a stand alone but it is so much better being read as the author intended, including Bad Boys of Retribution MC. You really don't want to miss any of action or sexiness that these books provide.
Rush is centered around Maxwell (Handsome) Rush. Handsome comes from money but he's been making his own way for some time now since he's been estranged from his family. Not making the best decisions growing up, his past mistakes are threatening his future.
Shiloh grew up next to Handsome when they were kids. When she pops back up in his life he can't believe his eyes. The girl he once knew is standing in the middle of Retribution MC looking more like a woman than the girl he remembered. All the MC guys are all taking notice but Handsome. He still sees Shy has he's sister's friend, which he clear put into the friend zone. Will Handsome be able to see Shy as the woman she is today and not the girl he once knew? Shy has her own secrets to protect. Can Handsome break down the walls she's built over time?
I loved getting glimpses of the guys, to see how their lives are progressing. Rush was full of so much emotion. I can say I shed a tear or ten while reading but I also found myself laughing out loud at some of the conversations. I can't wait to see where Ms. Warren goes next!

I’ve really enjoyed each of these books, though this one wasn’t my favorite it’s still pretty rockin’!

This is the fifth book in the series, and is a really, really good read. It is very emotional and intense book. Following on from four wonderful romances, it was difficult to believe that Ms Warren could pull any more stories out of the Carolina Bad Boys, but she certainly did. And as we get to see the rest of the gang and witness their ongoing happiness too, it is a special addition to the series.
Max deserves a woman who can heal the wrongs of his past and bring him peace in his present. Shy turns out to be just that woman, although the journey is certainly not smooth and easy. I managed to laugh, cry and tense up at the prospect of what could go wrong. And I loved how they worked on fitting together. This is not an easy ready, but most definitely a fulfilling one.

Holy hotness! Loved this book and I love this series! Hot guy, girl next door, hot sex, great chemistry….can’t ask for much more. This is the first book in this series i have read and i felt that that there are a lot of characters i would like to know more about but it was perfectly fine to pick it up here. This was one of the best MC books I have read. They usually are not my fave genre because I find it hard to get past the overly violent and ultra alpha behaviour. However that was not the case in Rush. The MC is trying to be legit and the big bad bikers turn out to be really nice guys who only do what they need to do when drama pops up.
Max and Shy were a beautiful match and it just made me fall for Max more when he was being so caring with Shy.
Now there is still plenty of exciting drama and loads of steamy, steamy sex scenes in Rush it's just all not quite as unnecessaryly violent as other MC which I loved.

Rie has done it again. I have loved everything she has written but this is by far her best writing yet!
This book will grab you from the start! You won't want to stop reading. I felt so many emotions with this story. I cried because my heart broke, I laughed because you have to laugh at some of the guys' antics, I fell in love with Max and Shy's relationship! This book was fantastic. It's full of suspense and heartache as well as full blown passion and love. The sex is so hot you will sweat!
This is a must read! You won't be disappointed! 6 stars!!!

This is book #5 in this Retribution MC series, and the first one which I have read. I adore MC romances, and I will be popping off to 1-click the rest. Rush is the sexy, hot badass biker, and Shiloh is the innocent childhood friend. Sparks fly when Shiloh wonders into the MC club. This story is full of hot sex scenes, heartbreak, suspense, passion, and love. There is loads of humour at all of the antics that these MC guys get up to, as well as being an emotional storyline.
I love this author’s style of writing, and her ability to captivate, and reel in the reader from the very beginning. Fantastic job Rie, I cannot wait to read more of this series.

Max/Handsome/Rush, raised with a silver spoon. His actions displeased his father enough to yank that silver spoon right back and send him out on his own. Despite those bad decisions in his past, with a lot of work and the support of the MC he'd put that in his past. At least he thought he had. When Shilo, Shy, shows up at the club he didn't know what to feel. She had been like a little sister to him. She was all grown up now and he didn't like the guys looking or touching. Not that he was interested himself. No. Not. At. All.

Oh, those bad boys of the Carolina Retribution MC. They’re sexy alpha mc males who you can’t help but crush on as a reader. Rush focuses on Handsome – the good looking member who has been in the background, until now. We find out that he knows Shiloh (aka Shy) from his childhood and the two have an intense connection that no one can touch. He left his rich whiskey making family because he wanted to follow his own path and has been a big disappointment to his family. Shy is surprised to see him at the MC house. She has wanted him since she can remember and is intent on making sure he knows it now that they are adults.
Just like any other book by Rie Warren, Rush hooked me from the get-go and had me reading from beginning to end without a pause. Handsome is just as sweet and protective of the women as the rest of the guys in the club and he turns especially protective for Shiloh. I found it sweet, endearing, and so very sexy the way he went all caveman on her to keep her safe. There is nothing sexier than protective bad boy!! Just like any other book by Rie Warren, Rush hooked me from the get-go and had me reading from beginning to end without a pause. Handsome is just as sweet and protective of the women as the rest of the guys in the club and he turns especially protective for Shiloh. I found it sweet, endearing, and so very sexy the way he went all caveman on her to keep her safe. There is nothing sexier than protective bad boy!! This was a heartbreaking story full of hope and love for Handsome as he meets an old acquaintance and discovers the love of his life.
Max "Handsome" Rush was the quintessential bad boy, lots of hot girls, fancy, fast cars and time for illegal street racing. But every thing has to end and he's now cleaned his act up and making plans. Good girl Shiloh Lockhart turning up was not in them, she's way out of his league. But it seems he can't get Shy out of his mind.
Shiloh has had a crush on Max for years, and now they've met up again she's determined to take it to the next level, just this once.
But once is never enough and their feelings turn to love.
The story is fun and entertaining when the brothers join the story and their bantering and sniping is sometimes hilarious.
Handsome was a smoking hot character with strong trustworthy feelings for his woman, and wanted to help her in her time of need all he could.
Shiloh was a strong independent beauty who found it hard to let go and except much needed help.
A beautiful love story, I loved it.

Well, I'm an awful reviewer, let's start there. It took me a month to finish this, and it wasn't even remotely the book's fault. Life just seriously got in the way.
I hadn't read anything from Rie for a while, and I have to say after reading the Retribution MC series, the tumeline on this one really confused me at the beginning.
I really like the Carolina Bad Boys and Retribution MC series. even though I'm not particularly into motorcycles or erotica. I just like the characters and the way the stories flow. Rush was no exception.
I have to admit I was always curious about Handsome, and the story Rie came up with for him did not disappoint. She made it sxy, funny, dramatic and even kind of emotional. It pushed all the right buttons, in my opinion.
I also really liked Shiloh. I liked how independent and spirited she was, even with her conditions and what she goes through in the book.

Loved it!!
Great story, great characters I love the Carolina Bad Boys world.
I couldn't wait for Handsome's story hes always been so mysterious and different. I loved finding out who he is behind the hair.
I really liked Shiloh she is perfect for Handsome/Max she really brings out a side not seen in the series so far. I really liked her strength and how she is not one bit whiny although her circumstances could have lead her to be.
The action is packed and alot happens in a small space of time.
All up I really enjoyed this edition tot he series and look forward to continuing on with the series and Rie Warrens works.

I hate that the series is over already but I have to say I loved the whole thing .. you know when you start reading and can't put it down , well that was me ... Handsome aka Maxwell Rush has a past he would like to forget but some how it always comes back around . So when Shiloh shows up at the MC looking for him it was a big surprise .. but once he had he back in his sights he couldn't let Shy go . Max found out things about Shy he didn't know one being she had cancer and all he could think about after that was taking care of her , and that he did ... must read to find out what else happens

This Author has some mad skills with this series. I didn’t think they could get any better but with each book, I stand in awe. Rush is the black sheep of his family and he doesn’t care. He has carried on with his life and made a good one of it. When Shiloh comes back into his life, he is stunned. He wants to keep her at a distance but he can’t. Danger lurks in this book for both and Shy’s medical condition adds to the mix. This really was a great read. I love how delicate the storyline is within a MC read.

"Good To The Last Drop"
I have given this story a 5 star rating for it was superbly written.
I really enjoyed each of the Carolina Bad Boy stories, but this last one? I loved!
Sizzling, crackling tension between Shiloh & Rush flows, their. Chemistry was stimulating. Truly a great love story filled with much darkness, light @ the end of the tunnel, some intense scenes, violence, & the love & family of the MC.
What a great 5th book for this series.

Just wow! This was one story that came out of left field for me. Handsome finally got a good girl but a good girl from his past. One that was finally explained but Shy came with issues. Issues I’ve never read about in any of the thousand plus books I have had the privilege of reading. Shy has cancer and is an amputee. Amazed at how beautifully written Handsome’s love for her was. It really is one of the best yet

This book was just ok for me. I wish they were longer and the characters had more time in the books because I didn't feel the love yet between the two. It's not a bad book. It has drama and sex but not much romance. The problem she was having with her step dad ended to quick for me also.

This book was a surprise read for me. It delved into a mirage of topics within its storyline. It explored topics such as social class, family, health, and acceptance. Yes this was beautifully done and still stayed true to the hot reads this author offers. Another recommended read!!!
