I read this like 2 years ago or something (I honestly don't know how long it's been) but I still think about it to this day. It's by far and will forever be my favorite dramione fan fiction. ITS JUST SO PERFECT I LOVE IT.

This was so unbelievably bland in comparison to the Dramione fanfics I've read thus far. I didn't make it through the first 10% and I'm not sorry.

Actual: 4.5 ⭐️

Damn this was a good book. I absolutely adored the found family! They were all so sweet with Hermione, it broke my heart. 🥲

I’m a sucker for codependency in dramione but combined with a good Theo… instantly love. 😍

Not perfect, definitely slow during the middle but still great!

THIS WILL RUIN ALL OTHER FANFICTIONS FOR YOU in the best way possible (wicked grin)

Now I'm not one to vouch for fanfictions (in fact I was a fanfic virgin and this book stole my virginity all the way out!) but man is this perfect! The best Dramione fanfiction out there! THIS IS CANON AF. It doesn't only focus on the romance budding in the two "nemesis" but it also has a mindblowing creative plot that you'd wish this was the actual ending for the real books. Draco's redemption only intensified the story line in this 3rd POV of this world :) It made me love the Harry Potter series even more (if that's possible. Hey, there's no such thing as too much love for HP) The best gateway for fanfiction virgins ;)

I'll be honest, when I created my goodreads account I wasn't expecting to rate a fanfiction. Let along one based on a ship I do not adore in the slightest. But this book?
It's a masterpiece on its own. The storyline, the unexpected pairing between two side characters- the angst and the plottwists. Yeah, I certainly did not expect to rate a book like this. But oh did I love reading it.

Perfection!
This right here is the reason why my Dramione love will never waiver.

I was just curious but it didn't take me long at all to fall in love with everything that was this story.

It was the twists that made this story what it was. Best of all was Draco ♡ his love... it was quite perfect.

I am a big Dramione fan.
Mostly it is because of Emma Watson and Tom Felton because I didn't ship dramione when I read the books. I only started shipping them after watching the movies. They have an amazing chemistry!!!!

But alas!
This book became another victim of my not-completing-the-book-and-abandoning-it-in-the-middle syndrome.
Noelle N.'s "slow dancing" is alot.
Like at lot.

Draconian started off pretty good but the moment Hermione entered I was like.........what the fuck?
I mean Draconian as a book is great. But as a fanfiction I can't say the same.
The thing about Draco and Hermione is that they both are strong characters who's convictions are contrasting and thus make them stand poles apart.
But in this book it was as if I am reading a Harry Potter fanfiction with characters of their own kind just named like Draco and Hermione.
The writer had tried to explain Hermione's behavior by the memory loss she went through because of the abundant use of the cruciatus curse.
But these characters don't feel like that the characters they should be.
Hermione was so dependent and Draco and Draco was so affectionate.
I mean Draco and affectionate?
I just can't imagine these two things together.

So I guess I'm abandoning this book for now.
I'll probably complete it in the future but there are just so many plot holes in this story.

3 stars only for the writing.

I liked reading the story. It has an interesting plot around four Slytherins. Hermione goes missing after the battle of Hogwarts, and it turns out, no one is looking after her except for Draco. Why so? He isn't sure himself until one day he finds her.
This Draco is cunning, witty, dangerous, protective and sure of himself. He doesn't speak about his feelings, but his actions speak more loudly than any words.
This Hermione went through some terrible experiences in her life, and she doesn't remember a lot of her past life. But, surprisingly, Draco is among few things she does remember. And she sees him as no one else does: good, worthy of love and future.
It stood out to me that this Hermione was very clingy to Draco and panicked as soon as he had to go. It didn't seem natural to me, because I never considered Hermione to be a clingy type of person. But maybe it's because of her past experiences. But this is not the trait the Hermione in my head has. It's not a bad thing just something I noticed.
And another thing the author mentions is that she isn't a Dramione shipper, a thing she repeats multiple times when writing the story. She doesn't believe in it. I get it, tastes differ, but it leaves a sour taste in the mouth.

Il fandom la definisce “the one that ruins other fanfics for you”, e posso confermare che capisco il perché.

It's been 3 years since the battle of Hogwarts took place and Harry barely managed to survive. Ever since it's been like Voldemort has won the war.
The Order has disappeared as well as an beaten up Harry, meanwhile Voldemort's army keeps growing in numbers and he has taken control of most of Britain.

In the last 3 years Draco Malfoy's life changed drasticaly. For once he isn't the cowardly boy that couldn't kill his Headmister, anymore. As Voldemort's lead Death Eater, he now has killed so many people that he lost count.
Determined to end this war once and for all and make sure that Voldemort is the one who is going to die, he has to find Hermine Granger. The problem? Hermione Granger has been missing for 3 years, with no indication as to where she is hidden.

I have to be honest, the first time I read this fic (yeeeeeears ago), I gave up on it after a couple of chapters. I didn't like the writing and couldn't get into it.
Even back then it was super popular and counted as one of the best Dramione fics at the time. For me, it was a hit and miss but I never truly forgot about it. I always planned to come back to it someday to see what the hype was all for.
Now years later and not only did I like this fic, it has made my favorite list too.

I've picked up the updated version so I don't really know if the writing has improved or I was just more intune with it this time around.
Also I don't quite know how many changes there are between the two versions. I just know that the sex scene from the first draft, was absent in this one because the writer got alot of problems for it the last time.

I saw alot of similarities between this fic and Cruel and Beautiful World.
Mainly the plot and the description of the characters as well as their relationships with eachother.
I don't know which one was written first and I don't know if the second fic was inspired by some things from the first one. Not that they had to take inspiration from one another.
I also can't say that one fic plagiarized the other one. It's a very similar concept and that could be the reason for the similarities.
In no way do these two fics have to be connected by any way. This fic just happen to remind me of CaBW, which I read first.

Anyway, I loved this fic and even if it took me a while to finish it, I'm very glad I have picked it up again.
I highly recommend it.

I felt the story was a bit jumpy and you just really had to ignore the blank holes and fill it in yourself. It didn’t make a lot of sense at times?

Example: the Slytherins get captured by the order and they want to “test” Hermione, but she has an anxiety attack so they tell her ok you can stay lose in the jail room and we’ll test you in the morning. Then in the morning they just don’t test her at all, and now she gets to be on “house arrest” at a NON order members house. Why???

I thought about DNFing multiple times. It also felt a bit too similar to Manacled to me which made it predictable at times. And I honestly just didn’t vibe with this broken Hermione. I know she went through some shit and I don’t want to downplay that, this just isn’t my favorite version.

Pros: I love when Draco and Hermione have this “deep connection” that isn’t even physical. Though I’m left wondering the ENTIRE story how they even got where they are now… they talked constantly about how they hated eachother in the past.

Also, I’m confused why Ron and Harry didn’t immediately come running to Hermione’s side when she was captured by the Order?

Love me some head death eater Draco tho!

This is a BLOODY GOOD BOOK! Beautifully written, with an amazing plot, and, dare I say, better than the original (I never particularly liked the original Harry-Potter-has-three-kids-and-is-happy-ever-after ending anyways)?
Especially with After getting all of this attention, I need you all to know: this is good fanfiction. This is good writing. This is what should be getting a film. Not After.
I particularly love how well the characters are portrayed. Everyone feels so in character (unlike other fanfictions cof, cof, Cursed Child) and the plot is so well thought of, I was honestly surprised this wasn't written by JK Rowling.
Seriously, I'm not even into Dramione and I loved this. It doesn't feel forced or rushed, it's just perfect. Besides, it's free on wattpad which is amazing. So please, read this book, it'll change your life.

This ow on the Top 3 for FanFic for me. The author does a wonderful job staying true the charters while writing a completely different story. I enjoy the redemption of the Slytherin characters in their own way, and how she breaks down the barriers of good and evil, truly showing the gray area in the war. I also enjoyed the romance between Draco and Hermonie, at first frustrated at her lack of skill and then i find myself enjoying that all the while Draco is teaching and shielding her in his heart he knows how brave she is. The banter between all the characters is a hoot and I nearly fell off my chair after the revelation with Theo and the sorting hat. Overall a wonderful FanFic and I highly reccomend for anyone looking for more Harry Potter.

It's a fanfiction based on Hermione & Draco post-battle of Hogwarts where Harry lost to Voldemort. Set 3 years post-war, it's told from Draco's perspective as head Death-Eater, who after searching relentlessly, finds a broken Hermione who has little to no recollection of her life, save memories of Draco. Together, after gaining Hermione's trust, try to end the war, and it explores their relationship & why Draco felt it necessary to find her & why she remembers only him.

It's a beautiful fanfiction that Noelle created, something that anyone a fan of the #dramione ship should read. Noelle's books are so well-written & if you finish this, the next book to read by her is Astoria which is based on Ron & Astoria

Welp. I pushed through and that’s the best I can say. All characters except Ginny are very different than canon. A lot in the story is pretty illogical, like Kingsley asking all the great wizards to leave so he and Hagrid can ward the place from the death eaters?! 🤦🏼‍♀️ It makes no sense at all why Hermione and Draco immediately are so attached to each other. Of all the people for her to be so insanely and illogically obsessed with, Draco doesn’t make sense considering this book is keeping the original story as its premise.
repetitive phrases throughout. Not the best writing.
I’m confused about people comparing this to manacled because truly it’s not even remotely in the same category.

The new battle at Hogwarts was pretty well written.

i really love draco in this one, and the slytherins omg they’re hilarious and probably gonna be so fun to be around, maybe it’s favouritism bcs i’m a slytherin myself. i love u Noelle for ur writing and i’m super glad that u didn’t kill any of my favourite characters.

anyway this is my 2nd time reading this fanfic and i still enjoyed the adrenaline u put me through!
i was quite sad last year when i couldn’t find draconian and told that u unpublished it bcs of plagiarism. i hope that they can respect the hardwork u guys writers did for us readers, and u guys did it for free! those ungrateful ppl are the worst.

and i’m happy that u repost it when i searched for it again, thankyou thankyou 🥺

The writing was undoubtedly good. Premise was good. I liked Draco. But I wanted a little more fierce hermione, she was totally dependent on Draco , I mean I get it after all the things she went through, but after sometime I expected her to grow some back bone! And not to mention because of some plagiarism issues author permanently deleted the one single sex scene! And I am so fucking mad because of this!!! It was rated mature for fucks sake! If I wanted to read YA Version of HP I would have re read the original books! After all that buildup (46 chapters out of 50) I still didn’t get any spice! Ugh!! Seriously I’m so disappointed that I’m not even going to read final 3 chapters 😒

4.3/5. A good read but I was confused by how quickly Draco and Hermione warmed up to each other at the beginning. I went back several times to check if I skipped a whole book or if there was something I missed.

Besides this, it was an enjoyable read. The starting stages of the story, particularly the unshakeable bond between Draco and Hermione, reminded me of one of my all time favourites, Manacled. They could pass silent thoughts with just a glance. The way both of them sought for each other in an almost unintended manner like holding hands without thinking and not letting go was 💯

Voldemort-wins AU is simply 🤌🏻👌🏻

I might give this 3.5 stars, it was nice. Everything was just nice. Draco was a little snarky, because, he is Draco, but still pretty nice. Even Pansy was nice! I just didn’t understand why Draco had been desperately looking for Hermione for the past three years. There was no explanation of how their relationship had developed to the point that he would be trying to find her when everyone else thought she had been killed.

As for the romance, there is no slow burn, no sexual tension, no spice at all. They just kind of are together and hold hands and kiss and everything is just nice. Just not very exciting.

I will say that it does have a nice (yup, that word again!) ending.
