WARNING: This book is part of a series, it is not meant to be read as a standalone. It is preceded by Beginnings. Coarse language, violence and homosexual relations run amuck. We'll take "Give Us A Freaking Break" for $200, please.
To say the Santorno-Youngblood extended family has had a rough couple of years is something of an understatement. Not that they don't enjoy a good explosion just as much as the next guys, but the fun factor plummets when it's your house that's going boom. Toss in a couple of kidnappings, a few maniacal ex-boyfriends, and a smattering of gunshot wounds and these guys have learned not to say "what next"?
Their lives just never seem to calm down long enough to enjoy some playtime. Josh Reynolds plans to change that by marrying Jason McKinley in Hawaii and bringing the whole gang along for some good times. Josh and Jason's marriage is not the only happy beginning of new life; several of the guys get great news while they are enjoying the island paradise.
Once back in Fort Worth, the team gets right back to work, with a little extracurricular activity humming along in the background. Greg Farrelli-Reynolds and Tyler Youngblood spring some unwelcome news on their husbands -- right before the team takes on some of its toughest missions. Josh's outrageous former college roommate is recruited as a translator to help the team crush its Russian enemies. Chris Stevens meets Dimitri Voronova, a Russian assassin who just happens to be friends with one of the Santorno guards. The sexy banter flies as quickly as the bullets when they fight to rescue one of the group's own.
Oh, about those maniacal ex-boyfriends -- what is the deal?!
The Santorno-Youngblood family makes it crystal clear that they are not to be messed with. Unfortunately, some people just aren't very smart.
I have been blessed in this life to not only have parents that support me, but kids that do as well. I grew up in a loving but "Old School" French household. My parents worked for the airlines (TWA) so I was able to see a lot of Europe as a kid. I moved to Seattle Washington at the age of 22 and stayed there for twelve years before moving to Alaska for a little over two. Fairbanks, AK was one hell of an experience and I wouldn't hesitate to go back! I spent a little over a year in South Carolina before moving back to Arizona. I then left for Kansas for five years and now reside in Arizona. I've been connected to the military in one way or another for over half my life and wouldn't change a thing about it. Writing has become my full time job and I've never been so happy doing a job I love and being able to do it in my jammies. I plan on writing until I dry up and die. Hopefully, that won't happen soon!
Another installment of hot guys having fabulous sex and taking the bad guys down. Each couple is portrayed very well You get to see how they grow and live and love. This is a series that shows what family truly should be like, jealousy, pain, heartache but always love & support.
This book was full on Love and kids. It was so repetitive. She went down the line to each couple love you, let’s have sex. Let’s have a baby. It picked up when they went to work. That is what saved this book from being totally unreadable.
Another great add to the series. Brett and Roman's story is fresh and exciting. Add in Chris and Dimitri who are hot and hilarious makes a great book. Can't wait for the next.
So another bunch of hot assassins and their hot lovers and taking out bad guys on the way. I love that they are so into each other. I love their jealousy and their communication. What a great story. I will need to sit down at some point and draw out all of the relationships. The names are so similar and the relations are just way to complex. Then I have to match up those with the other series. I love these guys and how they take care of the crap of the earth and love that they love each other despite their flaws. These will be books that I will go back and re-read.
The first 50% plus of this book was "I love you" ,"I love you too "'s going through each couple in the book. Remember what happens to one couple happens to them ALL!!! It is ridiculous!! Weddings and babies alike... Thank God this book was saved by our lovable Christoph who we were originally introduced to us in my favorite book "The Lyons Den". This man has no verbal filter at all and watching him go after Dimitri was fun and different from all the other courtships in the series. I just hope they remain unique. The next in the series should be even better with the introduction of Andrei and Vince ( also from the Lyons Den part of the Assassin/ Shifter series. Also a series you must read in order, so you understand.)
What a wild and fun ride, this book was fantastic and so much fun to read. I honestly think they keep getting better and better as we are introduced to so many characters we love. In this installment we get not one but three weddings, a couple of birthdays, a proposal, two fun new couples. We get a look into Chris and Dimitri's relationship and it is so much fun to read. Chris is one of my favorite characters. There is definitely plenty of sex going on throughout and it's HOT, HOT, HOT.
I can't wait to read the next in the series. I highly recommend to all. This needs to be read in order or you will be lost!
First I want to say do not start if you have not read the rest of the series. I spent half the book confused on who was who, who was married or with each other. There were adorable moments and some very sappy moments, then you turn around and it was a chaotic mess of action. I know now I will be reading the rest of the series soon because I want to know more about all the couples and family. Even though I was confused and had to go back and reread sometimes it had me on the edge of my seat. I think if I was more emotionally invested in more of the characters it would have ben even better. This author is brilliant.
This time what's on the inside is as good as the cover. For most of this book we're just catching up with the various couples as they all get into the familiar pairings we've already seen in the Assassin Shifters series.
Then there's the usual bad guy from the past to inject a bit of soap opera drama and the story moves along again. I love reading these books in spite of the dramady and the insta love because the men are all drop dead gorgeous and they're all bad asses who love their other halves with burning passion. After all, who doesn't want that :)
Seriously her books just keep getting better and I look forward to each and every one. If you have not read her books and are looking for characters you can love and plots you can sink your teeth into start at the beginning of this series or even the beginning of the Assassins/Shifter series, you won't be sorry. #9 is so fine...yeah!!!
I have read all of the books from the beginning, they are an amazing read. It is so great getting to know each of the characters from where they started from, how they met, their lives, loves, families and losses. These are books that grow on you. Sandrine is a phenomenal writer, I enjoy all of her series.
This is a story about the Santorno family and their ups and downs. Their are always some crazies who are trying to harm some of them. But this family has a motto, you mess with one you can prepare to die. This is an exciting intense and interesting read. And the grandbabies are growing up so fast. This is a fun sexy read. Enjoy I did..
This book was great, we had not one but three weddings, a couple of birthdays, a proposal, two new couples. There was plenty of sex going on and a couple of assignments for the Santorno's to take care of. Over all this book was a fun rollercoaster to read
Love love this book. It showed how the couple's love grew stronger and how new couples met and fell in love. And more babies coming into their lives. Can not wait for the next book. Erin
Sometimes it's hard to follow the story and characters. But it's worth the ride. I am impatiently waiting for V is for Vicious. Any book about Vince Markov and/or Andre Pancheko is my automatic favorite.
Making The Rules:The Santorno Stories Book 9 by Sandrine Gasq-Dion
As always Sandrine Gasq-Dion did not disappoint and this book clearly deserves five stars and more. The story line will keep you entertained from beginning to the very end.
Omg! Sandy has done it again with another beautiful story about love & ridding the world of bad guy's. Please if you want to read the book please start from the beginning of the series. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Two thumps up.
Yet again these guys have some seriously crazy meant trying to kill them, I love the suspense. The kids are so cute & funny, from reading this book I see Devon Lyons aka tanner doesn't come up until a few more years when the kids are teens. I definitely want to read the Santorno side.
I have all the books in this series and in the other series .They are all my favorite books . I love every characters in this book. I was glad when they killed Simon he was evil. I can't wait to get the next book.
The family keeps expanding more and more join the family businesses. A lot a wedding and birthday parties a lot of proposals and love is found. The past raises its ugly head several times and the job causes some problems but family and love win out. Getting to have a lot of players to keep up with.
I love this series. It is well written with greatly developed characters. It has a totally kick ass group of guys and a rocking storyline. I am sure I will be reading this one more the once.
I love this series so much! The Youngblood and Santorno clans are outstanding!!! Can't wait for the next book!!! Should be interesting to say the least!!!
