NORA Five cells. Four captive women. A dungeon without windows. An experiment spanning over years. No end in sight. I'm their only outside contact. I give them water and food and wait for the courage to free them to miraculously flourish inside me someday. If I don't make a move soon, either I'll end up being the fifth cellmate, or their feeble bodies will succumb to death. No middle point. BLAKE I'm a heartless man. My heart was ripped out of me, when the love of my life disappeared a week before our wedding. When I found her, I grasped the true meaning of being destroyed. They'd wrecked her body, shredded her soul and left nothing behind. There was no hope for her, and she understood it. In the end, she chose suicide to relieve her suffering. After her death, I've become a man without mercy, a killing machine. Now I live for revenge and to give the beasts a taste of their own medicine. I'm thirsty for blood. Today, I'm one step closer to overthrowing my enemy. I know his name. I know his goals. Most important of all, I know his weakness--his daughter. She's an exquisite beauty. But, not for long. I'll play with her head and her body. She'll crawl back for more, begging for one more taste of heaven. That's when I'll ruin her and force her father to witness every second of her suffering. ***The Power series is a saga involving multiple main characters whose lives are intertwined with each other.*** This is a dark romance and contains situations that may be disturbing to some readers. Speechless

I don't know where to begin. Book 3 in the Power Series is dark and soul crushing and has you praying for torturous deaths for the monsters involved. They have no heart or conscience no compassion they are pure evil.
Nora is our heroine but she's innocent in so many ways and yet the things she's had to witness and be a part of makes you cringe and pray for her strength to endure and do what's right. She meets an ally in Gabriel he awakens in her a fight and determination to get past her fear and actually do something to help the women her father has enslaved. Then everything goes wrong and we're left feeling distraught and just as helpless as Nora. Praying Book 4 will serve justice to the monsters.

this series is special

I love the ups and downs of this book. There are so many twists and turns. It’s unpredictable and captivating. It’s a fascinating read. The courage of Nora is outstanding. While she wasn’t always presented as being brave, her character builds as the story goes on.

The Power series is gritty and edge of your seat romantic suspense. But don't underestimate the fear, pain and ugliness buried in its pages or the heart breaking love. This book is not for the faint hearted and Liv's depictions in some of the scenes may be disturbing to some readers but don't let that put you off. If you love Liv's books you'll see that Power is a whole new level of complexity and riveting storytelling. If you crave dark and dangerous, mixed in with Liv's signature brand of hotness and sizzle, then Power is the one.

Power 1,2 and 3 are a complex series so far. The several layers of characters interwoven throughout is what makes it absolutely compelling reading.

In this story we have two new main characters, Nora and Blake and what feels like a new book actually unravels and we get to see a connection back to Baron, QB and Scarlett. Power 3 epitomises the ugliness of the world shown in all its glory with the Baron. It reminds us of how easy it is to miss the grotesque of what goes on in the bowels of our cities and how easy it could be to fall prey. It's also poignant when describing Nora's helplessness, her need for self preservation to protect her innocence and the impossibility she faces trying help others. It's almost a coming of age, albeit at 20, when Nora starts to discover herself. But is there light for Nora or Scarlet at the end of the tunnel or will they die fighting. Will Ethan get to Scarlett in time and does Blake even realise his complicity in Nora's failings. I cannot wait for Power 4 to see where this goes. This series is an absolute must.

For six years Nora has witnessed the weekly atrocities her father inflicts on his favorite slaves, despondent that she doesn’t have the courage to set them free. It is only when a high-profile kidnapping comes to light that Nora finally decides to act, but a conversation she overhears changes the direction of her life completely. Nora has finally found an ally in Gabriel, but his playboy status both surprises and angers her; what is she doing with a modern day Casanova, when she has never had a boyfriend before? Nora agrees to help Gabriel and the FBI, but in return requests their help too. When a gunman goes on the rampage, Blake saves Nora’s life and her father gives him a job as her bodyguard, with a proviso. Nora tries to warn Blake off, without success; for him he is one step closer to taking revenge. Nora’s new life is within reach, but is it? Her plan is error-free until the last minute; but her father has discovered her intent, has evaded the FBI team, and has now brought the women to a different location. But what shocks Nora even more is her father’s confessions and his subsequent plans for her. Nora wonders what sort of life she might have had, if not for the selfish curiosity of a sadistic maniac. This was a very well-written, interesting plot, with lots of twists and turns, that had me thoroughly intrigued throughout. It was a very engaging story, which I enjoyed reading immensely. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Holy sh*t! I thought I could take breaks when reading this book. I was scared to death in the beginning of this book. No, actually all the way through the book I was. Paranoia will sit in your mind if you don't constantly remind yourself that this is a work of fiction. I pray to the mighty heavens that there are not people in this world as horrible as the ones I just read about. Richter is off his fu@k'n rocker in his mind. A sadist s.o.b. that so much deserves to be locked away in a dungeon, but never have anyone come back for his a$$.
Nora, bless her heart. She has seen some sicko stuff growing up. Richter, her father had no problem having her witness the things he does to the women he captures.
Blake doesn't have too strong of a role in this book. I'm assuming he'll be showing up more in the next book. I can't see him being done with Richter till he sees him dead. I'm very curious to know his reaction to the circumstances that developed in the last chapter. I pray someone saw what happened and is on the trail to helping them.
That's all I'm gonna say. This has been one he/l of a series. I can't imagine how Book 4 is going to go. Hopefully it will be the finale! I have so many questions that need answers! I need the conclusion now, ha!
