Accustomed to looking for love in all the wrong places, Michaela Daniels arrives in Ireland to perform in the Dublin Horse Show. On her first night in town, she meets a seductive Irishman with ancient secrets to hide--and a jealous girlfriend who, like he himself, possesses esoteric powers.
When Liam O’Neill meets Michaela, the attraction is instant--and mutual. Pleased to learn that she’s a friend of the wife of a fellow Council member, he looks forward to seeing her again. A time that arrives sooner than expected. When she’s thrown from her horse during the competition, this friend requests that Liam transport her in his chopper to County Clare, something that leaves Liam’s disgruntled date taking a commercial flight home.
Besieged by monstrous visions, Michaela fears she has suffered a traumatic brain injury. But the tone and tenor of these phantasms have the Council of Brehons considering a far different possibility. Might she be the Woman they are seeking? The One prophesied in the ancient scrolls to save all humankind from the ravages of the Beast’s Awakening?
The second book is amazing. Kept me on the edge of my seat and couldn't put it down. Love the continuing connection to religion and folklore. Read the snippet of book three and I am extremely anxious for it to published.
I read the first book and was waiting to read the second book. Now I can’t wait to read the last one . I really enjoyed the characters and the story and would recommend this book.
Bonkers ex-girlfriend, faeries, witch craft, love all mixed together perfectly in a suspenseful story. Will mankind end before we see who “The One” is. Even Jesus makes an appearance in this story. Twists and turns that make me wish book 3 was already out!
This book kept my interest through the whole journey. Quote a different take and I seemed to be comparing a good portion of it to today's happenings in the world.
Fans of paranormal romance and Celtic mythology will love the latest instalment in this terrific series. I cannot wait to read the third book. Highly recommended.
I gave this book 5 stars because of how well written it is, plus, I couldn't put it down! This is one of those stories you don't want to end! The authors knowledge of Ireland and it's history seems spot on and reading her words makes one feel they are there. I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves to read about the fae and alternate realities that some of us believe do exist.
Great book, characters were all pretty solid. Fast paced, never boring...In the middle of construction and I still picked up this book to read in between the work!
Have read books one and two looking forward to #3. Love the lazy movement and beautifully written scenery and places of interest and of course the ladies are nicely portrayed!!!
I did enjoy both the first and second books of the trilogy. The only thing was not knowing how to pronounce the Gaelic words. It would have been nice to have a glossary for reference.
