It was to be a routine assassination. And it was... until he saw her.

Exiled from his homeland, the assassin Galen never thought he would return, but when he decides to help the beautiful woman he’s been hired to kill, he must face not only an assassin more dangerous than himself, but also his past.

Returning her to Elaeavn requires all the skills he’s gained in his time away as he becomes involved in a plot much bigger than a single exiled Forgotten. He can’t go home, but for her he’ll try, even if it means working with old enemies and revisiting a past he wants forgotten.

D.K.Holmberg is one of those authors you can depend upon for a great read.

I really enjoyed the creative and unique means implemented in performing what could have been boring routine ways of dispatching the villains. Good vs. evil and the boy gets the girl , corrupted people in positions of power- all threads of been there done that stories done a gazillion times. It is a testament to Holmberg's gift as a writer that the reader enjoys the trip.

Solid adventure. Galen is an assassin, who only does the jobs he thinks needs doing. He doesn't think he's noble of heart, though. And his motives and skills are tested when he investigates a target and finds not all is at it seems.

The author does a masterful job with the exposition--lots of back history and abilities revealed as a part of the adventure, not as a lecture to the reader.

It's clearly not the full story. But this is a solid intro.

The Forgotten (The Sighted Assassin Book 2) Review

D. K., once again I have enjoyed reading one of the side stories of the main story with great interest getting to know Galen and Cael better. I love your characters in your stories. I highly recommended reading your stories to anyone interested in reading a great story. Thanks for all your wonderful stories as they take me away to another world of adventure and exciting action.

Forgotten

Hmmm, three short stories yet the same thread, same characters. A new twist on magic, people with sight that can see where others do not. People with the mind readability, compulsion. Read it!
