What a feast of a book!
Honestly had no idea what to expect. I find some study books on the Bible can often be platform for a 'my way or my view' of the bible from the author, they often don't allow you space to think for yourself.
I was so pleasantly surprised with this study bible almost immediately and once that defense of mine was down I grabbed pens and highlighters ( yes highlighters!! yay) and found I just could not stop delving into the word and the way the author allows you, the student, to discover the word, think for yourself and guide you not dictate, but allow you to think about things and connect them with the bible and your life was so insightful and eye-opening.
This rich, and I mean rich, study of the Psalms was powerful. It really drew you into the way King David really lamented and poured out his heart, this really stood out for me.
I can not recommend this bible study highly enough. It was so warm and engaging, the author's passion for God and his word is uplifting, the author's personality really shone through and you felt like you had a teacher in the room because their voice was so clear, insightful, and engaging.
