Lucy Ashcroft hasn't considered seeing dead people a problem since she left home. She returns to take care of her eccentric grandmother, expecting an old lady in leather pants and spurs, and finds the ghost of her high school nemesis. Darla Swithers is the tragic victim of an anaphylactic reaction to cosmetic Botox. She wouldn’t be caught dead in Lucy’s company when she was alive. Now, the annoying apparition sticks to her like polyester on a leisure suit.

However, some things haven’t changed, including Jackson Merritt. Lucy’s former crush, is still the hottest thing this side of Hell. Lucy figures the only thing she and the town mortician have in common is dealing with dead people—except Jackson’s don’t talk back. Can a woman surrounded by ghosts find happiness with a sexy undertaker who doesn’t believe in them? And can she convince Darla to see the light…and go into it?

Lucy Ashcroft, RN reluctantly returns to her small hometown to help her eccentric and motorcycle jacket, leopard leggings, pink feather boa wearing Gran who needs a hand. Lucy has a gift, one that earned her the nick name "The Ghost Gabber" from the mean girls. She sees dead people, lots of them, including her garrulous Grandpa who is waiting for Gran to go into the light.

To Lucy's chagrin, Darla Swithers, one of those mean girls has appeared in her afterlife form on top of Gran's refrigerator. A pain in the neck in life, Darla has become a pain in a lower region in her afterlife. Resplendent in a velour jogging suit that she hates, Darla's untimely demise came about from her vanity and a Botox injection--or so everyone thinks.

Jackson Merritt, local undertaker and hunky hottie, doesn't believe in ghosts, much less ghost gabbing. As Lucy tries to leave work after a harrowing ER shift, she slams into Jackson and her future.

Between the dead clamoring for Lucy's attention, Gran's twerking, and Darla's determined matchmaking efforts to make postmortem amends, the zany fun and laugh out loud moments don't stop.

Add in the sizzling chemistry between Jackson and you have a fun romance to entertain you and keep you chuckling long after you close your e-reader or print book. Highly recommend.

This was a fun paranormal romance with a lot of laughs and snark, but it was so much more. At the heart of Lucy and Jackson's story are some deep messages about learning to accept who you are and letting down your guard to allow yourself to fall in love. This book also addresses bullying. Lucy survived those early years of not quite fitting in and the unkind reputation bestowed on her, but post-high school she was fortunate to find out the reasons behind the cruel behavior. While the author gave her characters a lot to deal with she did so in a humorous way by giving Lucy some hilarious secondary characters (Darla and Gran). Lucy and Jackson get their happily-ever-after but I wasn't sure it was going to happen. Ms. Sharon provided a satisfying and memorable ending.

If you love a good ghost story, and a good laugh then you don't want to miss this story! You feel as if you know these characters and you just can't help but root for Lucy from page 1. The story moves at a rapid pace so that when you get to the end you only want more. The author seamlessly introduces ghosts into the scene as engaging, humorous characters and you can't get enough of Lucy's spitfire grandmother.

If You're Haunted, Flaunt It was such a fun read! It's a romance with paranormal elements, full of humor and sarcasm but with some introspection that we sometimes don't get to see in characters. In this particular book we have Lucy Ashcroft, RN returning to her hometown to help her Gran out, where she finds herself haunted by the ghost of her former high-school bully. Turns out high-school bully has learned some things since her untimely death, and decides she needs to make amends by "helping" Lucy...with her love life. Who better than Jackson Merritt, mortician and honest-to-goodness good guy.

The two of them have definite chemistry and despite their honest attempts to communicate with each other, wires still do get crossed. I loved these characters and wish we got to see a bit more of them together! Darla, definitely redeemed herself. Gran and Grandpoppy were a hoot (especially Gran). Even Mr. Picklepaw was a character himself. There were also some pretty insightful moments the characters had in the story which I enjoyed.

The story itself was fast-paced, and I feel like it definitely had the potential to be a series (of course, this could be me just wanting to read more about them, especially with the revelation in the epilogue!). I loved the characters, I loved the very accurate depictions of nursing life and nursing humor. I loved the regular humor, the relationships, the fact that when there was miscommunication both Lucy and Jackson tried to clear things up relatively quickly. Overall it was a humorous, fun, relatively light-hearted read that I enjoyed.
