He is currently writing a prequel to the William Quest novels.
John's wife, Anne Bainbridge, writes historical detective fiction, the Inspector Abbs Victorian Mysteries and the 1930s-set Inspector Chance Mysteries. Anne's novels were first published under John's name.

The 2nd book in the author's series of The Chronicles of Robin Hood & for a 'slow' reader like me I fairly romped through this in 5 days. Another excellent read, full of action, intrigue. Where will this battle of the people versus the rulers end! No doubt there will be more exciting adventures in the next book in the series.

A good wrestling of a classic.
This is quite a thrilling and interesting approach to Robin Hood. The author weaves folklore and history to reexamine this classic tale. I grew up reading the "Tales of Robin Hood and his merry men", and I was captivated by this version., well done.

The legend counties
I'm really impressed with John Bainbridge story telling of Robin Hood. An one of the best I've read in a very long time. It is worth every penny for the series. Battles in great detail. His telling of Sherwood makes you feel like your walk in forest with sun playing on your face. Whether you like to read about Robin Hood or not this series is worth the read. Very well written.

Second book in eventual four book series. Not as good as first book, but continuing story of Robin Hood, enough said. The characters we know and have heard of which makes for great page turner. Enjoy!
