“Fizz is a sparkling creation, bright, optimistic and funny. . . . Despite the serious nature of the plot the book is very funny (I even laughed out loud at one point). This is a sparkling, sassy debut.”— Crime Time Ebullient, quick-thinking Fizz, a young woman with almost enough intelligence to match her ambition, gets a job as an assistant to a young lawyer and pushes him into investigating the evidence that convicted a friend of his for abusing his small daughter.
Although the story line of the book was enjoyable, I have to wonder if anyone actually proofread this before it was published! The editing, well what editing??? A few other errors in the book too is Buchan arranges to meet Sherry in the morning but says to Murray that he will know more this afternoon after meeting Sherry. Will try the next book in the series hoping for some improvement, because I do like the characters and some of the writing is fun.
A new author to me from the bloodybritspress. Set in Edinburgh solicitor Tam Buchanan meets his new assistant at legal aid, Fitzpatrick, a sweet young lass with a baby face and a very clever mind to go with it. Its an irresistible story and I was sorry when it ended.
