as a fan of the slice of life, girl drama books, i couldn’t help but be partial to this one.

and i was beyond thrilled that whitney, the bitchiest of stacie’s friends, was moving away! woohoo! we all remember her behavior when stacie performed in the school talent show. however, as i read on the book was kind of sad, and i started to pity whitney. the eight year olds can all promise each other they’ll remain friends forever, but it’s clear things will never be the same. especially in an age before cell phones.

the doll dioramas make up for everything though. i can’t stop looking at them. they transport me to another world. makes me want to purchase the book for real. shoutout to the creators using an actual corkboard for a wall.
