You’re invited on a spiritual pilgrimage to the windswept hills of Wales. Within that small, praying community known as Ffald-y-Brenin, the deaf hear, the blind see, and the broken receive healing. Roy Godwin reveals how God has given believers the authority to bless others. As the executive director of the Wales retreat center, he shares how this ministry began, stories of miraculous healings, and ways you can usher God’s presence into your community. It begins when we stop chasing blessings and become God’s conduit for blessing others.

I was given a copy of The Way of Blessing: Stepping into the Mission and Presence of God through the publisher and their partnership with Netgalley in exchange for my honest review which is as follows:
The Way of Blessings shows us that even today in the midst of struggled blessings are happening. God still blessed us in both big and small ways.
The Way of Blessings reminds us that miracles did not only happen in Biblical times but they are happening today as well. Even today God allows the deaf to hear, the lame
The Way of Blessings is great for either Individual or group study
I was so looking forward to this title when i heard that they had written another book in the series as the first book i couldn’t put down. I wanted to read more about the blessings that God was doing.
you contine on the spirtual journey in this little place in Wales, its a small prayerfull commuinity, we continue to read stories of the Deaf hearing again, the blind seeing , and the broken being restored. many more things that God has done in this place, some great Miricales.
Its lovely to read that God is still active in our world today, even though we may feel hes distance its reassuring that he is very active still today, and He is still blessing us. this book uplifts you and is a blessing
The best bit about this book are the stories of God at work. They are inspiring and encouraging and very challenging to how I pray and hope I grasp the opportunities God has given me. Some of the narrative around the stories is a bit muddled but it's still a great book and the really want to go visit the retreat house one day
I loved the stories and simplicity of living in love with our Heavenly Father, as he loves us. The simple way of blessing has changed my life and that of my family, and I look forward to it changing my neighborhood and community as well.
The book is easy to read;you know, the kind you can sip a cuppa to while chilling on sofa. Roy uses encouraging anecdotes and testimonies to illustrate a simple yet powerful truth - the power of blessing - that is often overlooked.
Wonderful, practical follow on from The Grace Outpouring, with the same helpful mix of Biblical insights and real life stories. Very helpful expansion on the idea of blessing introduced in the first book.
If you enjoyed The Grace Outpouring, then you will really like The Way of Blessing! Where the Grace Outpouring is the car, the Way of Blessing puts the tires and wheels on the car so you can go somewhere and use it; a very practical guide on incorporating the way of blessing into your life.
A continuation of of Roy Godwin’s previous book The Grace Outpouring. Fantastic book full of stories about the power of blessing, prayer and God powerful presence.
I'd read an earlier book by Roy Godwin entitled 'The Grace Outpouring' which described the amazing way in which he and his wife Daphne became directors and overseers at Ffald y Brenin, a Welsh retreat centre. Although God is undoubtedly everywhere, some geographical locations seem to be particularly fruitful when it comes to manifestations of miracles and the supernatural. Godwin has such a matter-of-fact and humble style when it comes to factually reporting many miracles which took place there. I knew I'd be happy to read more.
Once again, he delivers eye-witness reports of wonderful and unexpected things that have happened to visitors and pilgrims to their property. Some of these members of the public have visited on purpose, while others accidentally chance upon them while on the road. Godwin has a habit of offering simple blessings for each of his visitors, and this book continues with the same gentle spirit, emphasizing the fact that most people need more of this and less rebuking. After all, most of us have been trained from childhood to automatically rebuke ourselves all day long.
It's the sort of book that might make you want to visit Ffald y Brenin if you can. Some of the miracles mentioned are huge, and just standing on the same ground would be worth traveling for. They are almost too much to take in while reading. It's way too far away from me, but I've had a look at their website. Judging from the way things take place on the premises, no doubt there's material for future books taking place right at this moment.
Thanks to David C Cook and Net Galley for my review copy.
The Way of Blessing by Roy Godwin is a book filled with the things God has done at Ffald-y-Brenin in Wales. Miracles happen here. Some are surprising and it is hard to wrap my mind around them. While I believe God still heals today, and I have certainly read enough stories about the things God does, the miracles in this book are huge! Bones are healed; a woman who had a colostomy was healed; skin cancer was washed off another person's face. People come from far away to be healed, blessed and to enjoy the opportunity to worship God.
I like reading faith-building books, and I appreciated this one.
Speaking blessings is part of our weaponry as believes to change the darkness to light. Too often we curse without even thinking about it, but this teaches you how to speak blessings with practical demonstrations and the testimonies that have followed the speaking of blessings and the act of being a blessing to your community and to those around you.
