Good book and conclusion to the series. As the commander of Company F, we've seen Josh in the previous books, as he supports his Rangers' sometimes unorthodox methods of getting things done. He has also been seeing them fall to Cupid's arrows, one by one, making him realize what has been missing in his life. It's been four years since his wife's death from cancer, and he's finally ready to move on.

Tracey was hired when the twins were babies, to help with them and with Gwen. She quickly became a friend as well as caretaker to the kids (don't call her a nanny - she HATES that!). After Gwen's death, she remained to help Josh with the kids. Now that she has finished her doctorate, she knows it is time to move on with her life. She's in love with Josh, but doesn't believe he feels anything but friendship. Though the thought of leaving hurts, she has to do it.

The excitement begins when an accident is staged as a setup to kidnap Josh's kids. The bad guys want something from Josh and only by holding his kids hostage can they ensure that he will cooperate. There is an added complication, in that Josh's son is diabetic, and needs to be monitored at all times. It's a harrowing situation and Josh is determined to do whatever necessary, even if it means going against the FBI and his fellow Rangers.

I liked how Tracey kept a calm head and was determined to be there for Josh. It was interesting to see the kidnappers include her in their demands, and how she and Josh dealt with it. The reason was clear early on, and I liked that she didn't hesitate for a second in agreeing to their demands. Tracey is very observant and clever, and tries to find a way to get herself and the kids away.

As the book goes on, the danger increases as the bad guys force Josh and Tracey to play their parts. There is some chaos as the bad guys' plans don't always go the way they want, and Josh tries to capitalize on it. The final confrontation was intense, as time was ticking for Jackson's condition, and Tracey came under additional danger. I loved how it all came together in the end.

There wasn't a whole lot of chances for romance, as Josh and Tracey were apart for most of the book. However, we do discover that each has feelings for the other, though they hadn't shared them. As they had known each other for four years, there has been plenty of time to develop the trust, loyalty and respect, as well as love, that they have for each other. There are a few steamy kisses that give them the hope that their feelings are returned, but no time for anything more. I loved Josh's big moment at the end, and the help he had for it.

The only disappointment I had was at the very beginning. Josh had thrown a birthday party for Tracey, inviting his coworkers and their ladies. I got the impression that they had treated her more as the help than as an important part of Josh's household, which made me sad.

This is another book about the Texas Rangers and Company F. This time it is in reference to the Boss Joshua Parker. Someone has kidnapped his twins and there is nothing that will stand in his way to get them back. Not even the moral code of being a Texas Ranger.

Check out the book it was really good and I just could not put it down.

The Bossman finally gets his own HEA! Josh Parker is used to carrying the responsibility for F troop on his shoulders and he is happy his men are finding love. It may just be what he needs to spur him on to find his own. After a whirlwind romance with his late wife, he found himself married, a father and a widower in short order when they discovered her cancer. Before Gwen passed she brought in Tracy to be their nanny and her friend as they fought the cancer. Tracy has been his rock but he's recently decided that he's like to know her in a more...personal capacity.

Tracy has finally finished her masters, which she managed to fit around the needs of the twins and Josh' job. But can she really leave for a new job opportunity. She is the only mother the twins have known and she loves her job but the deep seated (and hidden) crush she has on Josh is tormenting her as she feels guilty to be loving her late friends husband. But after a traffic accident leads to her and the twins being kidnapped, she knows that Josh will do anything to get them back. But will this also open his eyes to the woman in front of him?

There were lots of twists and turns and the medical emergency with one of the twins Diabetes gave a serious edge to the story and you could feel the undercurrent of concern for his health. There is also the mysterious background of Tracy to deal with. I loved they way she dealt with her uncles hired goons!! I loved the way that the whole company treated Tracy as an extension of the family even if she herself felt like an outsider because she wasn't a wife/fiancee, just a nanny. Tugs on the heart strings and a quick paced read. Brilliant story - I'd love more!!

Tense situations, fast action, danger, death, adorable twins and fragile romance, all makings of an entertaining story, that keeps the reader on the edge.
The connection between Josh and Tracey has been formed over the past four years, as she had been taking care of his children. It is a unique type of connection, the trust, respect, and loyalty they have for each other, the love for the kids they share the responsibility of, it has made them part of each others lives, like few people around them understands. Some of that connection was such a foregone conclusion, that I felt like I needed more explanation, more background information. They don't have many scenes together on the story, and the romance is in the background, saving the kids is the priority, and keeping the mafia family in prison and alive came a close second. But having the previous four years to built to the events in the story, the love and adoration between Josh and Tracey are believable and adorable. The story is clean on the passion side, just a few kisses through the tale.
The danger is chaotic and constant. The atmosphere of the story is turbulent and tumultuous, the fear and jitters running in every scene. The angst-ridden behavior of the kidnappers is keeping the situation unsteady and impossible to predict, putting everyone's life in danger, the survival unlikely.
Rapid fatal action and dire conditions, balanced by a love that is willing to risk lives and break laws, to save those dear to them.

Arc copy for an honest review.
Wow! this is full on terror, worry and action from start to finish. Kidnapping and threats, violence and evil. Young twin children taken by force from their nanny, one is diabetic adding to the worry for their safety. Josh is in hell, his love for his children and knowing he also needs to risk Tracy, leaves him torn as to what to do for the best. Tracy loves him and the twins, in her mind there is no choice to make she is going to do anything to get them back safe.
With a few twists and turns and unexpected events causing even more problems, this story is non-stop action. We do get a few loose ends tied up in this book as well, it is definitely a compelling read. This whole series is well worth reading, lots of suspense and mystery amongst these hot Texas Rangers as well as them finding love and bringing the bad guys down. I loved them all from the first in the series to this one.

My favorite one yet in the Texas Rangers: Elite Troop series by Angi Morgan! It was filled with danger and mystery, yet had a ton of sweetness of all of these strong people trying to protect these little kids … and a little romance thrown in to boot! Really enjoyed it.

Texas Ranger Josh Parker only has his kids left in life, so when a group of criminals want to hit him where it hurts, kidnapping his twins has definitely done it! Josh races against danger to try to get his kids back. With the help of their caretaker Tracey Cassidy, he is prepared to do whatever it takes … even if it means breaking the laws that he’s sworn to uphold!

Will they win the race against the clock? And along the way, will he and Tracey have to admit how they feel about each other?

Josh got married, became a father and widower in a very short time. Having cancer, his wife, Gwen, hired Tracy to help with the twin's care. Even though her friend's death was hard on her, Tracy stayed to help Josh with the children. She had been with them for 4 years, becoming very close to the children and Josh and even though she didn't want to leave, she had finished her doctorate and knew it was time to move on.

One day, Tracy was driving with the children when she stopped because the road was blocked by an accident. But it wasn't really an accident. It was a setup to kidnap Josh's kids. Someone wanted Josh to do something and holding his children would make sure he cooperated. Not only were the 4-year-olds terrified but one was diabetic, needing insulin and food regularly, adding a complication to the situation. The children meant everything to Josh. He'd do whatever it took to get them back safely. Even go against the FBI.

Tracey was a great woman. She would do absolutely anything for the kids. She was a rock for Josh and kept him focused. He was lucky to have her because all he could think about was how to get his kids back.

The tension was high in this book with the danger increasing when things didn't always go the way the bad guys wanted them to. The twist near the end was quite a surprise and left me thinking "holy smokes". There was also the secret Tracy kept.

Fans of clean read suspense, defined without explicit sexual content and bad language, will enjoy the romantic chemistry, the suspense and the conclusion.

Very well written, with tight tension throughout. Short read but packed a punch into the pages. I don't generally read a lot of HQ series books because many of them are kind of weak, but not this one! I'd read more by this author.

Hard Core Law is a fast-paced romantic suspense novel that drew me in from page one. The characters were well-drawn, and the story has plenty of action and intrigue. A satisfying read!

This installment of the Elite Troop series is a fabulous culmination to the series. Its wonderfully written romantic suspense, full of drama, action, suspense, and love.

This story focuses on the slow burn romance of Tracy and John as they deal with the kidnapping of John's four year old twins. Tracey is the twins nanny and they were kidnapped on her watch. Bother heroes are willing to do anything to ensure they get the twins back safely.

This book has twists and turns that keep you thoroughly engaged with the story line. The characters are interesting, like-able and believable.

Although a romantic suspense this book does lack the heat that I've come to expect from a harlequin romance, but the story is completely engaging and entertaining and kept my attention from start to finish.

I thoroughly enjoyed this whole series and the only thing I would have liked was for the previous characters to have all made an appearance in this book. I really liked that Bryce was included within the story line. I loved how this series came to a halt and wasn't expecting the outcome.

I look forward to reading more from Angi Morgan in the future.

**SPOILER FREE**

No surprise of how good this book is! I mean look at who the author is! This author is completely amazing! Her work is to die for! I'm not all the big on romances by any means, but I do step out of my comfort to read them from time to time, especially by Angi Morgan. Not only is she giving you a romance but she throw a wrench it with some suspense! Each of her books has it's own story plot and characters that you'll love but don't take my word for it! Once you start these book by Angi you will fall in love and find yourself reading as much of her books as you can!

Hard Core Law was one of those books I could not put down, I kept turning the page. This book had you on the edge of your seat from the beginning, wondering what would happen next. This was not my norm romance, this was book was more action, with a little romance added in, but boy what a book it was, both Josh & Tracey would not stop at anything even going to jail to get Josh’s two adorable twins back. This was my first book I have read by Angi Morgan, but it sure will not be my last, I plan to go back & read other 3 books in the Elite Troop series.
