32 books67 followersCaridad Bravo Adams (born on January 14, 1904 in Villahermosa, Tabasco – August 13, 1990 in Mexico City) was a prolific Mexican writer and the most famous telenovela writer worldwide.
She was born to a couple of Cuban actors and she was part of an extended family of artists, being the sister of Venezuelan actor Leon Bravo, one of the pioneers of theater, radio and TV in Venezuela. She published her first book at the age of 16, titled Pétalos sueltos. She then moved back to Cuba with her parents, and later returned to Mexico, where she kept writing and obtained a role in her only film, Corazón bandolero (1934). She became a chair member of the Ateneo Mexicano de Mujeres and later moved back to Cuba, where she wrote the radionovela Yo no creo en los hombres, which was adapted in Mexico for telenovelas in 1969 and 1988. Upon the rise of Fidel Castro, she returned to Mexico, where she would remain the rest of her life. Back in Mexico, she wrote Corazón salvaje, a novel that has been adapted to the screen twice and as a telenovela four times (including once as Juan del Diablo in Puerto Rico). She then wrote La intrusa, Bodas de odio and other novels that earned her important awards.

Everything a romantic like me wishes for: passion,angst and everlasting love that changes one forever! Where nothing can separate you from your love...not even death.I have just now finished this telenovela (in fact this review is about this telenovela) "Corazon Salvaje" in English translation "Savage Heart" about the epic love story of the notorious and dangerous Pirate Juan del Diablo (Juan of the Devil) and the gentle and beautiful Countess Monica Altamira.I have to tell you guys one thing,they have to be one of the most beautiful couple ever...ever!

It seems like this author Adams really chooses to have her heroes as illegitimate sons more than once,where they grow up without family and love and becomes tortured heroes that still manages to stay noble and kind-hearted as they help the poor people but still has a rough exterior that frightens their enemies and they manages to feel more strongly than everyone else.The hero from "Amor Real" had also that past,but in this story the hero has a half-brother he hates completely.

You have to trust me on this guys,this is a telenovela that consists of 80 episodes and is a delightful entertainment for all Historical Romance lovers.It is a MUST WATCH!This version from 1993 starring Edith González and Eduardo Palomo is said to be one of the most memorable and most successful telenovelas of all time.I will first start with telling about the characters,first off about the OW and OM.

Aimee Altamira-is the sister of the heroine Monica.She is all together different from her kind sister as she is very flirty and confident when it comes to her sexuality.She is also extremely selfish (and in my opinion a bitch).From her return from Mexico City she spies Juan bathing in his beach house and goes there to watch him everytime.Juan catches her while she is hiding one day.Soon they both fall in love and become lovers. Juan goes away on a business trip and Aimee promises to wait for his return and marry him. When Andres (Juan`s half-brother,but no one knows this than Juan.He met Aimee before in Mexico City and fell in love with her) arrives in his hometown, Aimée ignores her promise to Juan and agrees to marry Andres.Thats where she made her biggest mistake.To try to fool a man like Juan was very stupid and dangerous thing thing to do.Marrying Andres for his power and money and breaking her promise to Juan just because he doesn`t have a last name was...OH I JUST WANTED TO STRANGLE HER!She deserved her punishment and for losing Juan`s love to Monica.Her feelings for Juan was more of a obsession than true love,but i somehow still feel sorry for her end to this story.

Andres de Alcasar-was a very interesting OM somehow.Being the half-brother of the Devil-Like Hero,he is a very good-natured gentleman half the story throughout the tv-series until he gets to know of his wife`s Aimees betrayal (that she wasn`t a virgin when she married him) and that Juan had been his wifes past lover.He becomes a ruthless and heartless man that harbors deep and destructive hate towards Juan and becomes his biggest enemy until the end.Knowing that Juan`s wife Monica are Juan`s only happiness-he does everything to steal Monica from his brother as he thinks that Juan also stole Aimee from him.He becomes the empiror of his own world and refuses to listen to anyones opinion even his mother`s (which i really enjoyed,hated his mother to the death).As he had really adored his wife it is seen that his love for her has become destroyed ,because when Aimee later dies he sheds no tear and does not feel anything at all.The only one he has any human kind feeling for is Monica,as he knows that she always had protected him.Because of her we also see that he has some humanity left,as he tried to rape her near the end but couldn`t.We get to know that it hadn`t been because of his brother Juan he couldn`t do it,as he hated him to the death,but it was because he knew that Monica never deserved anything bad to happen to her.
Then we get to the heroine..the oh so wonderful and beautiful heroine..i just love her so much!

Monica de Altamira-is a very worthy heroine i adored.The actress Edith González is a very beautiful blond haired woman and she plays the character so well.In the beginning she is in love with Andres who she has been engaged to ever since they were children.What she doesn`t know is that he has forgotten it,but she has not and longs for the day she can marry him and have his children.When she gets to know that he has fallen in love with her sister and wants to break the engagement her heart gets broken and she decides to become a nun,tells everyone that becoming a nun is her true calling.You may wonder how the hell and when she meets her soulmate Juan of the Devil (big smile).OH GOD their chemistry was so EXPLOSIVELY SEXY even when they weren`t in love,and in their first scenes they truly disliked each other.Monica knows of his dangerous reputation and thinks of him as a disgusting bastard,she hated even being near him and always tried to stop Aimee with her encounters with him,as she knows they are lovers,and Juan thinks she is a cold nun (and how she behaves against him he also thinks that she are the same as all the other people in the high-classes,as they are snobbish and judgemental).

I love it that she falls in love with Juan at the same time as he also fall in love with her.She had the kind-hearted and demure nature as we always could see the longing to somehow be free in her eyes,and i always knew that Juan would be the man who would open her up as the strong and passionate woman would awaken within her.She could feel intense emotions as jealousy,and i so love her when she protected her man.She was always beside him and never were afraid to back away,only when she thought it would mean danger to her Juan.No one could ever love Monica in the desperately and selfless way Juan do-their whole world,whole soul,whole hearts belonged to each other.
And Lastly......OH MY......my Juan of the Devil...........The greatest hero ever folks,just WOW how he was so so so....so....Deliciously Sexy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Juan del Diablo-in English Juan of the Devil. His biological father was a wealthy landowner.He had an affair with a married woman who was physically abused by her husband before his marriage to the uncompassionate woman Sofia (Andres mother) ,The woman became pregnant and died when the child was 3 years old.This child are in fact the landowners first born-Juan del Diablo.Juan was raised with no love or instruction, in poverty and neglect.And even when he comes to know that he is the true heir and son to the wealthy Alcazar family,he gets thrown out by Sofia after his and Andres father dies.Juan later on grows up among the sailors and pirates of the port-city, earning a shocking reputation for dirty business (contraband of liquor), ruthlessness, and harboring unbound loyalty from his men.The actor Eduardo Palomo played his character to the extension that we could see the cold fire burning through Juan`s eyes as his savagery and impulsiveness showed through.

This man could feel like no other,and WOW what a charisma he have!Being a womanizer but still having an untaken heart,he finds his first love in Aimee.As he feels strongly for any emotion at all,he loves her so much that he would be willing to burn his own hand in fire for her.He longs for a family and children of his own and wants to have it with Aimee,so he leaves for a business trip to become rich for Aimee.But when he comes back he finds out about her betrayal of her promise to him,and comes to hate Andres even more when he knows that his own brother is the man Aimee has married.In a fit of murderous rage he rides to the Alcasar Mansion to kidnap Aimee from Andres,but Monica stops him.I like that scene very much,as he tried to kiss her (OH HOW HOT HE IS).Andres (oblivious of everything) employs Juan as a steward of his country estate,and Juan accept it as he plans revenge on both him and Aimee.I was so much addicted to the tv-series after on this scenes as Juan and Monica get to know each other.

Monica tries to protect Andres,and begs Juan not to tell him of his past affair with Aimee,and it is easily seen how Juan hates Monicas love to Andres.Why him,why not me?Why can`t anyone love me like that? is what Juan thinks and as the sizzling tension that always has existed between him and Monica even when they disliked each other,the passionate attraction turns more electric when they get to know each other more.Whatever Juan felt for Aimee dies instantly after her betrayal as he really gets to know her-and wonders how he could ever love this unfeeling and selfish woman.

I love the fact that when Monica and Juan sees each other-they really see each other.After some misunderstandings Monica will have to marry Juan,and to protect Andres she agrees,to also everyones surprise Juan agrees (he tells himself that he agreed beacuse of revenge towards Aimee,but it was really because he had fallen in love with Monica).While loving Aimee as he did during their relationship,he never showed or gave all of himself to her.He never really cared to and hid much of his soul from her.But when it came to Monica,he never had the power to deny her everything.Being so much used to dissappointment all his life,and even further when it came to Aimees betrayal,he was really afraid to ever let himself love again.Against his will it eventually happens,and he finds true everlasting love in his Monica.The scene between them from their engagement to marriage was so hot and beautiful as we could see how their love blossomed.I love the scene where Monica cries off from her fight with Aimee when Aimee tells her that Juan will never love her as he loves only herself.Monica runs outside and Juan who had come to visit her runs to her (trust me,this scene was so passionately beautiful) runs to her and embraces her and tells her that he can`t withstand watching her in pain and he kisses her passionately while laying her down on the grass.T.H.A.T scene is imprinted on my brain forever..just wow..!In Monica he shows uncertainty and a very great vulnerable side,as he is jealous of Monicas love for Andres.

That comes much between them in the start of their marriage,and seeing a photo of Andres between her clothes (Aimee planned it all) makes him murderously jealous.Oh God how much angst there was between them,just OH LOVE IT!He loves Monica more than he ever has loved anyone else.All his mind,heart,soul and life only surronds around her.He loves her in the most selfless way possible (except that he could never watch her with anyone else,he says himself that he would rather die than watch her together with another man,and even if she married someone else,he would have stolen her).Her happiness and opinion means everything to him,and all he wants is her to be happy.

I love the scene when he gets thrown into prison and suffers wondering why Monica hasn`t visited him (the police wouldn`t let her in,so she dresses up as a nun) and cries when she does.The scene where they kiss passionately in front of every one through the cell fence (what a scene,SO SWOON).I love the scenes later on when he visits her at night to ravish her.There are many causes that leads to their separation,and their love still burned and the longing and the love are so overwhelming as it is clear that they simply can`t live without each other.

Juan`s love to Monica are so BEAUTIFULY EXTRAORDINARY and his insistence,determination and his wild nature made him seem so dangerously sexy,and it doesn`t hurt that the actor was handsome as hell himself (he is the one on the cover).His loyalty and friendship towards his gang was very admirable-i have to say that i adored his gang,they were both charming and funny.How he fighted and groveled to win his wife back was OH SO SWOONY and it was all so angsty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I love this man!

Ya all Romantic-Lovers have to watch this tv-series.I know that there are a few English translations on few episodes in Facebook,but overall i watched this series in Russia translation.I would have read the English translation of the book,but can`t find it anywhere.But meeh..this telenovela is certainly much better,as i love this series with ALL MY HEART!"Corazon Salvaje" have adventure,hidden secrets,intrigue,villians,brotherhood,rivalry,love-triangle,explosive passion and a Everlasting Epic Love between these two wonderful characters Juan and Monica-whose love-story has changed me.It is all so unforgettable and intense,and i will 100% re-watch this soap opera many times in the future.This is the BEST ladies and gentleman...T.H.E B.E.S.T!You have to watch it (must watch it)-i recommend it to all fans of historical romance..!

Después de ver la novela (Corazón Salvaje 1993), y enterarme que estaba basada en tres libros, la lectura era obligatoria. La Adaptación Televisiva muestra personajes profundos que se desarrollan muy bien a través de la trama, por lo que esperaba encontrar en los libros todo eso y cumplió.
La historia se desarrolla en "La Martinica", una colonia Francesa ubicada en el Caribe, el relato comienza con la travesía de un joven para entregar una carta a Francisco D'Autremont, un rico hacendado, los misterios detrás de la carta, el hombre moribundo que la escribió y pide verlo y el joven que se la entrega, desencadenan las bases de la historia; dicha carta contiene una verdad que moverá por completo el mundo de Francisco D'Autremont, pues el joven que se la entregó resulta ser su hijo, un niño que sin haber sido bautizado y sin apellido es conocido como "Juan del Diablo", resultado de la relación adultera que tuvo con la esposa de Andrés Bertolozi, un hombre adinerado, inmigrante Italiano que llego a la Martinica en compañía de su joven y bella esposa, y que al descubrir la infidelidad de está, se da a la bebida y derrocha toda su fortuna hasta quedar en la indigencia, solo con un pedazo de tierra conocida como el "Cabo del diablo", y un insaciable deseo de venganza, es así que Bertolozi desato todo el odio que sentía en Juan, criandolo con odio y malicia. Francisco D'Autremont al enterarse que es su hijo decide llevárselo a su hacienda, donde se desatan los conflictos con su esposa, quién descubre que es hijo de su marido.
La relación de Juan con Renato me encanto, si bien Juan es muy huraño, Renato se hace querer, siendo hermanos son tan diferentes, Renato tiene la apariencia de un "príncipe" que siempre fue mimado y protegido, mientras que Juan parece una fierecilla a la defensiva, estos dos personajes forman una relación muy fuerte a pesar del poco tiempo en que convivieron, pues la muerte de Francisco D'Autremont termina por separarlos; hasta aquí la historia se presento muy atrayente.
Lo que podríamos llamar la segunda parte del libro, acontece años después, con el regreso de Renato D'Autremont a la Martinica, quién siempre anhelo cumplir la promesa que le hizo a su padre en su lecho de muerte, de velar por Juan, por su parte Juan se a convertido en pirata avesado, también entran en escena, los dos personajes femeninos, las hermanas Mónica y Aimé de Molnar.
En cuanto a personajes, Juan del Diablo me siguió agrando tanto como en su adaptación televisiva, tiene una gran fuerza y lo que dice tiene mucho de verdad, es un personaje profundo y con matices, no pierde su esencia en ningún momento e incluso llega a sorprender; aunque lo niegue se puede sentir que quiere a Renato, su hermano, aunque no lo admita; pero si el destino no fue lo suficientemente cruel con el, ahora ya no solo es el tema del hijo legítimo y el hijo bastardo, si no que pone a los hermanos en un triangulo amoroso, donde los temas del pasado solo agrandan el conflicto.
Renato D'Autremont fue mi punto débil, en la adaptación me caía bien, peor acá se convierte en mi motivo de no despegarme del libro, no es perfecto, aunque lo parezca al principio, es un personaje muy humano y con mas matices incluso que Juan, su relación con éste se basa principalmente por todo lo que Renato pone para que funcione, más que el deseo de cumplir con la promesa que le hizo a su padre, siento que es digamos el llamado de la sangre lo que hace que se sienta tan atraído a ayudar a Juan, a pesar que este no ponga de su parte, desde su primera aparición de niño se ganaba ya mi corazón y si bien tiene malos momentos en lo largo del libro, por dentro sigue siendo Renato.
Las hermanas Molnar, Aimé sin comentarios, ya se sabe lo ligera de moral que es, todo lo que le pasa es resultado de sus decisiones, así que no cree empatia; Mónica, me agrado mucho y ese amor incondicional que siente por Renato, a diferencia de la adaptación, la encuentro bien justificada, ya que fue un amor que nació con la convivencia, complicidad y amistad, incluso Renato se pregunta porque no se enamoro de ella, siendo que fue su mejor amiga y siempre se llevo mejor con ella (hombres ciegos).
Cabe mencionar a otros personajes como Don Noel, un viejo amigo del padre de Renato, persona cabal y justa, la clase de amigo que cualquiera quisiera que vele por sus hijos; Sofía la madre de Renato, la crueldad que demostró con Juan y la indiferencia con lo que pasa en su hacienda, hace que se la pueda considerar una antagonista; Catalina, la madre de Mónica y Aimeé, no es que este mal estructurada, solo que me parece que la historia no hubiera tenido grandes cambios sin su presencia, ya que no tiene ninguna autoridad; por último, los "empleados de confianza" Bautista y su sobrina Yanina, el primero cumple con su rol de antagonista, mientras que la segunda por momentos me confunde, pues se presenta muy perspicaz y calculadora, pero se deja llevar en momentos clave por sus emociones, al haberle puesto la mira a Renato, se convierte en mi enemiga.
Finalizando el libro con Juan planeando llevarse a Aime, mientras Mónica y don Noel tratan de evitarlo, asimismo nos deja en el preciso momento en que Renato comienza a desenredar los temas del pasado, en muy buena introducción para esta trilogía, presentándonos todo el drama que afrontaran los personajes y dejándome desear continuar con esta historia.

Our teenage years are usually full of landmarks that forever leave an imprint in our minds and our hearts.
Some of these come in the shape of people, others are travels, books or in my case (and many friends of similar age) a soap opera - Corazón Salvaje(1996) - back in the far away year of 199... something....lol.
This particular soap opera was one of those moments in tv and film where all the stars align, and a genuinely excellent product is the final result...blessed be the star alignement that made this happen! Cast, location, music, wardrobe and story all blended together to bring to life a soap opera that, personally, deserves a 9,8 out of 10.
I won't bother you with a summary of it, since it is easily accessible online, I think it's quite enough to say that all these years later there are still fans all over the world, there are Facebook pages, YouTube channels and luckily for me, lovely people on Goodreads that share links with the books that were the inspiration for that soap opera :)
The story Corazón Salvaje is a landmark of sorts in South America, in Mexico to be more exact, where it has been adapted to soap opera and movie, more than once.
However the books are very hard to find, or I'm just bad at researching! Believe me when I say I tried researching and buying copies of them....none to be found at decent prices!
To anyone familiar with the soap opera, the differences will be immediately noticed - location, names, events even - and yet the books still make for an interesting and to a certain extent fun reading.
For those curious enough to wanna try, I would put it this way - Caridad Bravo Adams is perhaps the great grandmother of pink romance novels, the same way Barbara Cartland is the grandmother for the youngish generations.
What I found especially appealing to read were the descriptions of the slavery issue, and of the social and economical differences that the soap opera approached but in a different, perhaps more pc, way.
These 3 books are very dated in writing style, and will not make for a comfortable reading the same way one reads...or read...an harlequin novel. Nevertheless, I would most definitely recommend it to anyone who has seen the soap opera.
For me it was fascinating to see the origin of Monica and Juan, to see the differences and similarities between book and script, and i can only say it was extremely well done on screen, and a part of the reason why Corazón Salvaje - the 1996 version - was (and still is) so popular is this story by Caridad Bravo Adams.

I was so very sad to hear of Edith Gonzalez's passing...she was a wonderful actress and the perfect Monica to the late Eduardo Palomo's Juan....may she rest in peace.

i decided to read the book 13yrs after I watched and fell in love with the best tv soap opera adaptation of it. It was simply sheer curiosity to see how the book differed from the soap. This first book didn't differ at all except for some first and last name changes. The best part was that I had Eduardo Palomo (love you and R.I.P.) and Edith Gonzalez acting out their roles in my head all over again. Those two were Juan del Diablo and Monica personafied!

Decidí leer esta novela porque hace poco me aventuré a hacer un maratón de la adaptación de 1993. Es un tanto distinta y hasta este momento no hay mucho de Mónica y Juan. Me costó mucho y eso que le tenía ganas. En fin, a seguirle con la continuación. Por los pelos leí algo este mes.

Ένα υπέροχο βιβλίο που σε ταξιδεύει στην καρδιά της Καραϊβικής,σε μια εποχή πολύ μακρινή από τη δική μας.Μια ιστορία αγάπης που περιλαμβάνει τέσσερις κι όχι δύο ανθρώπους,οι οποίοι μπλέκονται σε ένα κουβάρι δολοπλοκιών,μίσους,κακίας,φιλοδοξίας,περηφάνιας και αγάπης για την οικογένεια και την τιμή του ονόματός της.
Η Αϊμέ είναι η κακιά της υπόθεσης και οι υπόλοιποι τρεις είναι θύματά της. Ίσως όμως κι η ίδια η Αϊμέ να είναι τελικά θύμα της μοίρας και του ίδιου του εαυτού της. Η υπέρμετρη φιλοδοξία της θα την οδηγήσει σ' ένα γάμο συμφέροντος με τον άνδρα που αγαπάει η αδελφή της, η οποία θα αναγκαστεί με τη σειρά της να παντρευτεί με κάποιον που αρχικά μισεί. Clásico de clásico de la época dorada de la radio. La tabasqueña Caridad Bravo Adams, con su versión muy a la mexicana de lo que el Viento se Llevó combinando Cumbres Borrascosas logró hacer suspirar a millones de personas en el mundo con su forma tán peculiar de enaltecer el valor intrínseco del amor.
Posteriormente con el surgimiento de la televisión esta historia tuvo sus respectivas adaptaciones, así como en el cine, es como el triangulo amoroso de Juan, Mónica, Aimeé y Renato (o andrés) nos ha hecho soñar por más de 50 años que tiene esta historia, que creo que seria muy justo que editorial Diana hiciera una edición conmemorativa para celebrar la pluma de Doña Carito y así no muera en el olvido.

Corazon salvaje de 1993 es mi telenovela favorita de todos los tiempos.
The book is also very delightful. It's a first part of the trilogy so it's a bit heavier on characterization. I can't wait to read the next book where the romance between Juan del Diablo and Santa Monica will develop.

Como la mayoría de las personas, yo conocí la historia por la telenovela de 1993 con Eduardo Palomo y Edith González (La de los 2000 es un asco) y desde el primer momento me encantó, por lo que naturalmente tenía que leer el libro.
Considero que Caridad Bravo Adams fue la precursora del género literario que hoy se conoce como “novela de paisaje” (landscape novel en inglés). Éste término se refiere a aquellas historias en las que el paisaje juega un rol tan importante como el de los personajes principales y como dice la novela, “una historia así sólo puede suceder en la Martinica”. En ésta primera parte conocemos a Juan, Renato, Mónica y Aimé, un conjunto de personajes diferentes que a la vez comparten un carácter tempestuoso que los lleva a través de varios retos y tribulaciones.
Como tal, la novela está muy arraigada a la época en la que fue escrita por varias razones. Primero es profundamente romántica, rayando en cursi, por lo que contraste enormemente con el ideal que tenemos hoy en día de cómo debe de actuar una mujer. Segundo, los encuentros entre las parejas románticas son descritos de una manera muy decente y velada, a pesar de que Bravo Adams no escatima en describir sentimientos apasionados. Tercero, en una novela ficticia siempre está presente el elemento de suspensión de la incredulidad, lo que significa que podemos aceptar un poco la fantasía propuesta por una historia. Sin embargo, a lo largo de la historia se presentan situaciones algo inverosímiles que cuestan esfuerzo aceptar.
Definitivamente esta es una novela que muchos pueden disfrutar tanto por la riqueza del paisaje descrito como de la apasionante historia que relata. Si ya viste la telenovela, te invito a leer el libro ya que no te desilusionará. Si no la has visto aún, ¡entonces lee los libros primero! Así la podrás disfrutar doblemente.

Η ανείπωτη μαγεία ενός ανομολόγητου έρωτα...ο πόνος ο όλεθρος η καταστροφή εναλλασσόμενα σε μια σειρά και μια παράγραφο...μια αγάπη ανθρώπινη και αληθινή που νικαει την υποκρισία το ψεμα τα κοινωνικά και ηθικά στερεότυπα....παντα μετά την καταιγίδα βγαίνει ο ήλιος...μπορεί λοιπόν οι θύελλες και οι θάλασσες να δαμάζονται αλλα δε μπορείς να κατακτήσεις τη καρδιά μιας γυναίκας με βία και να υποτάξεις να φυλακίσεις και να καθηλώσεις μια ελεύθερη ψυχή,,.

Parecido a la telenovela de los 90's, pero no igual. Tenía mucha curiosidad por el origen de la historia de Corazón Salvaje.
Sinceramente me gusta más cómo se centra y explota la serie el romance de los protagonistas, como se conocen y se enamoran.... en los libros se pierde más en los secundarios, sus berrinches, planes y venganzas, etc.
Me los he leído (los 3) en un vuelo, solo por llegar a las partes de Juan y Mónica. ¡Y como se ha hecho de rogar el primer beso!
Sinceramente me gusta más cómo se centra y explota la serie el romance de los protagonistas, como se conocen y se enamoran.... en los libros se pierde más en los secundarios, sus berrinches, planes y venganzas, etc.
Me los he leído (los 3) en un vuelo, solo por llegar a las partes de Juan y Mónica. ¡Y como se ha hecho de rogar el primer beso!

La Mónica del libro al principio, es insoportable, pero conforme avanza la novela mejora bastante. Renato es horrible, es un vato privilegiado con complejo de salvador y Juan , solo es el excelente Juan del Diablo.

La historia de esta telenovela me facino, asi que me decidí a leer la obra original y conocer atravez de ella a su autor Caridad Bravo Adams. Mis respetos para esta talentosa escritora orgullosamente Mexicana. Corazon Salvaje es en realidad una trilogí escrita en 1956. El primer libro se llama "Corazon Salvaje", el segundo "Mónica" y el tercero "Juan del Diablo." Es muy interesante ver la diferencia de la obra original y las diferentes adaptaciones. Esta obra ha dado origen a dos películas y cuatro telenovelas. La más famosa de ellas fue la de 1993 con Eduardo Palomo y Edith González. Me ha encantado este primer libro! Así que les recomiendo que lo lean. En realidad el libro esta escrito de una manera muy sencilla pues.. fue en realidad escrita para cine o televisión, aún asi vale la pena pués es muy interesante leer el concepto original. Tristemente es muy dificil conseguir los libros de Caridad Bravo Adams, no se porque no los públican regularmente. Por suerte, encontre los tres libros en forma digital y ya estoy más que puesta para leer el segundo libro.

Είναι ένα κουραστικό και βαρετό βιβλίο. Τα σκηνικά επαναλαμβανόμενα και τα λογύδρια του Χουάν πολύ πομπώδη. Βέβαια αντιλαμβάνομαι ότι την εποχή που γράφτηκε ήταν πρωτοποριακό να ακούς έναν ήρωα να μιλάει για την ανάγκη κοινωνικής και διαφυλετικής δικαιοσύνης.
Βασικά το βιβλίο ευτύχησε να διασκευαστεί από την Maria Zarattini και να γίνει η συγκλονιστικότερη τηλενουβέλα όλων των εποχών, για να μην πω η συγκλονιστικότερη σειρά γενικώς. Είναι θαύμα πώς η γυναίκα αυτή πήρε το βαρετό αυτό βιβλίο και το έκανε μια σειρά γεμάτη ίντριγκα και πάθος περνώντας ταυτόχρονα και όλα τα κοινωνικοπολιτικά μηνύματα της συγγραφέως για τους φτωχούς, τους περιθωριοποιημένους, τις γυναίκες κλπ.
Θα πρότεινα σε όποιον ενδιαφέρεται, να μην διαβάσει το βιβλίο αλλά να δει τη σειρά.

Llegué a esta novela debido a la telenovela "Corazón Salvaje "del 2009. Debo decir que me encanta la forma de escribir de la autora y el uso de palabras que casi no suelen utilizarse en la actualidad. En esta primera parte conocemos a los protagonistas y el final nos deja con un gran suspenso para la segunda parte que continua con "Mónica" y que es la parte que más me gusta de la telenovela.
Pd: en la portada aparecen los protagonistas de la telenovela de 1993, por lo que pensé que esa adaptación seria fiel al libro, mas no es así. Les recomendaria leer las tres novelas de la serie y luego ver ambas adaptaciones.

Una historia diferente a lo que normalmente he leído, me gusta mucho esta escritora una lectura recomendable. Estos libros por desgracias ya no se imprimen pero es posible conseguirlos online así es como conseguí esta serie la cual es muy diferente a la telenovela mexicana aunque debo añadir que el libro y su adaptación para la Tv son muy buenas.

LOS LEÍ TODOS JUNTOS, PONDRÉ LA MISMA RESEÑA EN LOS TRES
Ni siquiera sabía que existía este libro antes de encontrarlo por casualidad, cómo poder describirlo para dar justicia a lo hermoso que está? Para mucha gente, ésta historia es solo una telenovela mexicana, y lo es! y una de las mejores que ha existido nunca! Pero si se dan el tiempo de leer este libro, verán a profundidad las personalidades de todos los personajes muchos que en la telenovela incluso solo se tomaron "por encimita".
Alguna vez dije que "Justine" del Marqués de Sade podía resumirse con la frase "todo esto te pasó por confiar que la gente no es malintencionada, y que todos van a ser igual de puros que tú", pues ahora bien, este libro puede resumirse con la frase "si amas a alguien díselo, y si quieres saber si te aman, pregúntaselo y no asumas nada". Tal vez con eso se hubieran evitado muchos problemas 🙈 Pero es maravilloso... mucho drama, mucha intriga, rencores familiares, gente sin escrúpulos, egoísta, dispuestos a todo para lograr sus objetivos...
