I was offered a free copy of this ebook in exchange for a review on Amazon, and as a readaholic who is trying to lead a healthier lifestyle, I couldn't say no. Let me start by saying what I liked about it.

It was an easy read. I read almost the whole thing in one sitting, while waiting for an oil change.

There are lots of handy lists, such as a Basic Vitality Grocery List and Medicinal Herbs and their Uses; a lengthy curated list of additional resources which I will definitely explore; and a lot of recipes, some of which I might even try. I got a real chuckle out of the recipe for Avocado (cut it in half and scoop it out with a spoon), which used up an entire page.

Although there was some valuable information, I'm glad I didn't pay for the book.

For starters, it's really not well-written, as I've found in the case of many self-published books.

It's very inconsistent in style. On one page is full of scientific jargon with no explanation for the layman, and on the next some new age airy fairy stuff. I often felt as though I was reading someone's personal notebook of random thoughts and rough notes. Here's a sentence that really stood out for me:

In total, they provide the essential nutrients in addition to "non-essential" compounds that support a vibrant life (aka you can live on these foods) and you can mix them all together for a hearty meal.

Lastly, there is no indication of the author's qualifications to be writing this book. His Amazon bio states that he is "a creativity architect with experience in Health Network Systems focusing on the biological sciences of Physiology and Ecology (Sports Medicine)". That means nothing to me. I even googled "Health Network Systems" and nothing relevant came up. That makes me very cautious, especially when we're talking about something as important as my health.

Good reference book

I borrowed this kindle edition book. I love any book that has recipes for health. The good goes into details about the Best way to fuel your body. Then it goods non to list some recipes. It breaks down for you the best food for fuel and list what's their best components. It lists your best fats, and the best ways to get protein from foods. I really did enjoy this quick read. Its also good for a reference.
