I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed reading Ezekiel's and Irena's story. It has a little BDSM and a few hot sex scenes. Although you don't need to read the book 1, "Hunted" in the New England Nightwalker's series to follow this story, I'd highly recommend reading it. I absolutely loved Gabriel. He is one bad ass vampire that makes dropping the F-bomb sexy as hell :)

Irena's sister, a vampire married to Irena's leader, was murdered by Hunters. He has gone over the edge, determined to destroy all the Vampire Hunters despite that the actual culprit has been killed. To protect some of the Protectorate’s team, they are hiding out, pretending to be dead—or Ezekiel will make sure it is true.

Irena is the second, it is her duty to make sure the team functions to protect humans from immortals. She is mourning but there is more. Her feelings for Ezekiel are more than sisterly. She's fought them for 500 years as a loyal sister, but now...how can she fight the feelings, the guilt, and make a decision that may well destroy them all?

Ms. Cole writes wonderful, compelling romances of today under another name, but as Chloe Cole, she gifts her readers with PRN romances filled with intrigue, characters incomparable to any others, and steam that will heat a small city. The heat between Irena and Ezekiel has been building for half a century. Let's just say there's gonna be some remodeling repairs necessary.

Don't miss the stand-alone submission in the New England Nightwalkers Series. I strongly recommend this to PNR reads and anyone who loves a good story with strong characters and plenty of heat.

This is the continuing story of Ezekial the master of all vampires. He has lost his mate, Mellisande, to a hunter's arrow and has been in a killing rage ever since. He is seeking vengeance and is considered unhinged by his lieutenant, Irena. She is plotting a coup to protect all vampire kind. The twist to this story is that she is his true mate and she has hidden her love for him for centuries. It is the hardest thing she has ever had to do and she tries many times to turn him from his course of vengeance. As the story unfolds, we see things from both her and Ezekial's perspective and the depth of their feelings is so well portrayed that you are sucked in before you realize it. I can see where more books can come from this story as a new generation of vampires is beginning. I think there's potential for Ezekial and Irena as well and look forward to any additional books in the future.

I sooo freaking love this series!!!!!!

This is the story of Irena and Ezikiel!!!!

So freaking awesome and with each book it gets better and better.
I have to admit that the author didn't fail us at all and gave as a thrilling ,hearbreaking ,hot as hell book that captivated me from the firstr page to the last.

Filled with action and heartbreak this book is filled with guilt,love and struggle between the too plots and twists and turns in every possible way.

Another great addition that can be simple discribed as mind blowing book!

Book 2 is a success!

This second book, Mated, in the New England Nightwalkers series brought about some emotional feelings about loyalty, love and family. Sometimes the things we must do to make things right can be the most painful to do. You have the same sexy vampires, BDSM and angst from the first book but with deadlier consequences. Great book, lustful scenes and a quagmire of feelings make this another favorite. I encourage you to invest in this author. You won't regret it!

Free bonus read, Naughty Godmother by Chloe Cole was so sweet and sexy. This novella made me smile, fall in love with both characters and gave me a warm fuzzy feeling inside! 5 Stars
