Not the best in the series, but still highly enjoyable. This series is like comfort food to me, always find myself enjoying it and turning pages quickly. The usual cast of characters return, and I like every time they make an appearance. This time the mystery is the fabled lost gold of Kruger in South Africa. I love these DaVinci Code-like adventures, and Kennedy's Acton series is one of my favorites.

Another good read as a break at the end of the day.

I do find that Mr. Kennedy’s continuous slamming of Jaguar cars wears a bit thin after seventeen novels. Enough already! Cutting this rather juvenile thread through this series would be a step in the right direction.

Incredible action with history and thrills

Every Acton thriller is spiced with history and leads to very exciting seventeenth professors. The historical tidbits make the adventure so real and mysterious.

Another action packed adventure

The professors are knee deep again. Their friends spring into action. A great sub story unfolded and as always you get a great overall story.

Book 17

Book 17 was a fun read and had a few errors throughout. The plot and characters developed well and was exciting. The characters bounced back and forth between them all and the plot was a bit different with the gold and the background story. The plot was a bit predictable but fun to read about.
