What if you had a chance to reconnect with someone, to find out what went wrong all those years ago?
When Junior Maldonado returns home to deal with a family crisis, the absolute last person he expects to encounter is his high school sweetheart, the man who broke his heart more than two decades earlier.
What if you had the chance to begin again? Would you take it?
As Junior searches for the truth about his sister’s brutal assault, he finds more opportunities, both professional and personal, than he ever imagined. Now, he must decide if he really can come home again, or if the more things change, the more they really stay the same.

Uuuuuhhhhhmmmmm... What the hell was the point of this story?
First of all: Junior, (and heads up this dude is in his 40es or older, it's never really specified in this one), ends up with his ex, Derek, from 30 years ago. Derek cheated on Junior then, because Derek felt he wasn't "cool" enough for Junior or whatever *eyeroll*.
The situation with the sister is NOT resolved by the end of the book. And there are a LOT of characters introduced; it's kind of overwhelming. It is a stand-alone, but not a good one.
It also sounds like Junior is now going to spend his time at the DS club and the other one from his hometown. So you know, not REALLY DS Fight Club.
*sigh* No really, what the hell was the point of this story? If you read the blurb for Cutman you will find that Junior (FFS THAT name) ends up with Ryan, who makes an appearance here, and still we had to go through this weird reunion with Derek.
IMO: skip this one and go straight to Cutman if you like this series and MM. I'm not sure I'm going to read the next one, but as I see it, this one adds nothing to the overall story.
This is book two of the DS Fight Club. And it did not disappoint. This is my first male/male book and it was very well written!! It was hot and steamy. It's a love story with a twist. I absolutely love this author and have not read a book that I wouldn't suggest to everyone!! Its a must read if you like to root for the good guy to find love! I can't wait to read the rest of this series as it comes out! Who doesn't like hot, sexy fighters?
I loved reading about Junior. It gave more into the background that he shared with Colin and just about everything that happened to make Junior himself. This was my first male/male book and it was very well written and still steamy. I would have loved if it was longer and if he would have ended up with Ryan and it gave into the story since everyone is already paired up. Still very good tho
I loved Junior from the get go...he's very compassionate about his family, friends, work, and life in general. He's at a point in his life were he's not sure where he wants to be or who he wants to be with. This book is part 2 of a series...looking forward to reading the rest of the
Short, emotionally satisfying read. Sexy but not full of sex - more about the emotion and connection between Junior and his family and his recently rekindled "thing" with his high school boyfriend. It's really a 4.5 star because of the potential of Happy For Now rather than a true HEA.
