“ACE LOCKE JETS OFF TO SIN CITY WITH MYSTERY MAN”

Sorry, ladies—and fellas—Hollywood’s hottest action star, Ace Locke, is officially off the market!

The man on Locke’s arm has been identified as Dylan Prescott, the sexy new “it” model currently featured in the latest Calvin Klein ads. Sources tell TNZ the men met on the set of Locke’s upcoming action film Insurrection 2, and that “they only have eyes for each other.”
This is the first public gay relationship for Locke, who came out a year ago, and there has been much speculation on who would finally be the one to catch his eye.

According to multiple eyewitnesses, Locke whisked Prescott away on his private jet for a romantic weekend at Syn, the most exclusive hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. After pictures recently surfaced of the new couple, affectionately named PresLocke, it appears from the possessive way Locke keeps his new beau close that things are heating up.

The world is watching #PresLocke, and we’ll be sure to keep you up to date on this budding relationship!

Ace and Dylan’s story continues in Book Two of the Bestselling PresLocke Series.

★★★★ ½! Locked, book 2 of 3. Hollywood heartthrob & his billboard wet dream take their secret affair public!

Books in PresLocke series should be read in order:
Book 1: Aced
Book 2: Locked
Book 3: Wedlocked

Aced, book 1 told the whirlwind secret and forbidden flirtation and fuckfest between Hollywood superstar Ace Locke and billboard underwear model and debut actor Dylan Prescott. as they worked together on a movie while fighting their attraction.

Locked, book 2 picks up right after book 1’s scandalous ending and follows Prescott and Ace through a tumultuous spot in their relationship and careers under the scrutiny of Hollywood deal makers, the adoring public, caring family, loyal friends and the relentless paparazzi.

Eight words to describe Ace Locke: Arrogant, reserved, conflicted, cocky, bossy, jaded, insecure and possessive.

Seven words to describe Dylan Prescott: Frank, self-assured, cocky, reflective, care-free, naïve, flirtatious and determined.

Locked, told from dual POVs, is a whirlwind of steaming hot sex, secrets, scandals, set-backs, blackmail and soul searching all the way a surprising ending. Looking forward to book 3, Wedlocked and the conclusion of their story!

Locked is book two in the PresLocke series by Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine. Oh my ever lovin’ heart. I just this minute finished this book. Then made the mistake of looking up a couple of teasers which made my heart beat even harder. These three books absolutely have to be read in order. They are a continuation of the ongoing relationship between Dylan Prescott and Ace Locke. Believe me when I say, you won’t want to miss a second of the relationship between these two.

We know that though Ace and Dylan tried to keep their blossoming relationship a secret, they’ve been discovered in the cruelest of ways. Now their lives are splashed across every television screen of the world and all privacy has been stolen from them. This is Ace’s first relationship as an out gay man and the public didn’t take it well. He lost sponsors and future movie prospects backed out. But at the same time, Dylan, whose modeling career was really just taking off, sky rocketed. He was inundated with offers. Guilt weighs heavily on Dylan’s shoulders because how can this be good for him but so bad for the man he has now professed his love for?

This book was filled with SO MUCH! So many sweet moments, a LOT of steamy moments, some heart breaking moments, and so much more. These two never really had time to take their relationship at a normal pace. They were thrust so quickly into the public eye, the stress of it could have destroyed them before they had a chance to strengthen their relationship. But our Ace and Dylan did just the opposite. They stood together, they supported one another, they tuned out everything else and grew closer. They are in love and nothing will come between them.

“What kind of magic did he hold over me that just the sight of him made me forget what a disaster every other part of my life currently was?”

We watch as Dylan finally shares his life with Ace, both the good and the bad. He reveals his darkest secrets as well as the good that came of it, his friends and family in Florida. And to top it all off, something from the past comes back to try once again to hurt them.

I read this book in record breaking time. I couldn’t put it down, needing to know what comes next for these two. Now, it’s time for the final book in our favorite guys’ journey, book three, Wedlocked. I’ll be starting it immediately because I need more of these two. I have a feeling by the time I finish it, I’m going to be sad because I won’t want to say goodbye to these two I’ve fallen so hard for!

“Somehow through all the chaos that was my everyday life, Dylan had found me.”

4.5 "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" Stars

Review @ Vanilla & Spice Books

If you haven't read Aced yet please stop reading here. While I'll keep this review spoiler free and vague it will refer to events from book 1 in the series.

After being discovered by the tabloid press on their getaway in Vegas Dylan and Ace have to deal with the fallout of the discovery of their relationship. Being under close scrutiny and having to deal with intrusive paparazzis is exhausting but there is also a certain freedom in not having to hide any longer. They gain strength from their growing feelings which they will need for the battles to come.

Although the first two thirds of the book cover the consequences and backlash of the forced publicity of their relationship they are pleasantly drama-free. Maybe even a little bit too uneventful - it does drag a tiny bit towards the middle. I was waiting for another bomb to drop when Dylan's past catches up with him. It does bite him in the ass, eventually but I thought the introduction of a certain character earlier in this installment would have helped the story move along a little bit faster. Nevertheless the story is incredibly appealing and we get to see how Dylan and Ace fall in love. Their connection is deep and finds its outlet in bed. The sexy times are scorching and panty-melting.

What I love about MM romance is that while the feelings between the main characters change the companionship doesn't. The way Ace and Dylan talk to each other doesn't change, their banter is sometimes sweet, sometimes funny but always based on friendship.

Ace is so sweet and adorable with Dylan when he finds the courage to open up about his past. And generally there is a lot of growth on Ace's account while he slips into this unknown part of his own personality of never having been in a serious relationship.

Dylan is such a wonderfully easy to love character. He shines like a bright star with his easygoing attitude which has its roots in his childhood. I loved Sunshine, Ziggy and Lennon and you could actually see where he got his zest for life from. His adoptive parents grounded him when he was a child and taught him that love when given freely multiplies as it is returned to you.

Some people might find the end of this installment slightly cheesy but while I did so I also relished it. I loved every word in this book. Imagine my surprise when I realized that there would be one more book in this series. I was already getting a little bit worried about Dylan's situation not being resolved...but *bam* there it was. The promise of the conclusion of Dylan's and Ace's journey. Can't wait.

This book has put me in a ridiculously good mood. As far as sequels are concerned, in my opinion, this one far surpassed its predecessor with flying colours! It was wholly entertaining, heart-warming, heart-breaking, funny, cheeky, sexy (so very, very sexy) and deliciously sappy. I could not have asked for more.

The story picks up exactly where Aced finished up – with Ace and Dylan left shocked and dazed after a pesky paparazzo snapped photos of them together in their hotel room in Vegas.

The jig is finally up and the world now knows that the Ace Locke is in a relationship with another man. Being the first guy romantically linked to action-star Ace since his public coming out over a year ago, Dylan is now the prime focus of every entertainment news story in the world. The two men are soon hounded by the press in an aggressive and slightly terrifying way that would have me crawling into a corner and tearing my hair out in frustration. Luckily, and quite impressively, Ace and Dylan handle their new reality with humility and aplomb. They understandably hate having the world all up in their personal business, but they refuse to let the false and horrible things that are being said about them get in the way of them enjoying and thriving in their new relationship. Through all the constant ups and downs, the career highs and lows, the personal attacks and the personal triumphs, Ace and Dylan face everything head on, together.

I liked Ace and Dylan well enough from the first story (and from their introductions in both of Brooke and Ella’s solo series – which I both loved!!), but after reading this book, I can happily say that I now adore both characters, separately and as a couple. I can’t count the number of times I suddenly became aware of the dopey grin I was wearing while reading this book. They are just one of those MM book couples that make me happy and swoony, and for that I’m adding them to my favourite couples list.

I didn’t think it was possible for Ace and Dylan to get even hotter than they were in Aced, but, somehow (maybe through witchcraft??), their chemistry in this story was even more palpable. Seriously, my underwear almost spontaneously combusted of its own accord on several occasions while reading this book. Just, yowza!

I have to also give a shout-out to all of the character cameos from Ella and Brooke’s other book series. However briefly, it was great to revisit Licked and the gang from Brooke’s L.A. Liaisons series and the men from Ella’s Sunset Cove series, and although not actually on page, even the one and only Logan Mitchell made his mark. I go all fan-girly when old characters pop up in new places; it’s so much fun!

I honestly enjoyed every moment of this story. I laughed and I cried and I felt everything in between, then I did it all again. I even feel slightly disgruntled now that I know I have to wait until 2017 to see how it all ends – patient I am not!

Read #2: November, 2017 (Audio Edition)

This one hasn't lost its spark. Several times while listening to this audio (by the wonderful Charlie David), I found myself suddenly aware of the happy-stupid grin I had plastered across my face. It's just one of those stories, y'know? The kind that brings you unadulterated joy. Sure, it's no masterpiece, but it doesn't need to be. I just want more feel-good, ridiculously romantic, fuck-hot M/M romance reads that get me in a great mood. This is one of those books.

P.S. - I still loathe Dylan's gutter trash mother with her toxic bullshit.

P.P.S. - That final scene , is still one of the most fluff-tastically romantic moments of any romance book I've ever read. *swoon*

"If you're with me, I think I could take on anything."

Locked picked up where the 1st book ended, with Ace and Dylan exposed in their own room in Vegas. Now they have to consider their every move, as they are getting followed everywhere by paparazzo and everyone wants to know that who is the mysterious man who was able to win the infamous Ace Locke.

Now, Ace & Dylan had to decide whether to come out as a couple or deny everything. But they choose the opposite and came out in front of thousand peoples and now Paparazzo are going crazy about them. The news has flown and Ace is having trouble with the contracts he had sign for all the films and add. But for Dylan it’s the opposite he is getting attentions from everywhere, every modelling agency is calling him to get his time.

“We came holding one another. Rocking the other through the storm and emerging on the other side, stronger for the journey.”

Dylan has yet to get used of Paparazzo following his every move, living with one of the high class star of Hollywood is not easy. Loving him and living with him is going to be a challenge that Dylan Prescott had never though in his mildest dreams. With his past lingering in a shadow he has yet to come clean to Ace before the Paparazzo find every dirty dark secret he has tried hard to forget in his life till yet when he has to cut open his wounds for a man he loves. And its terrifying Dylan more than any paparazzo or fake gossip taglines.

Where Dylan is worried about his past, Ace is getting antsy about his present and with the attention Dylan had on paparazzo he doesn’t want to scare Dylan. He is used of this attention but Dylan is not and this thought is killing him, he wants Dylan more than anything. And now he has to deal with his parent’s drama too. Ace wants nothing but Dylan. Yet he can’t ignore the drama everywhere.

“Are you trying to say you want me to knock you up? Because, Dylan, I have to tell you, I have some pretty powerful boys at work, but no amount of horny goat weed is gonna make that happen.”

I loved how Ella Frank writing from the very start but the 1st book was not THAT good, because there were so many things that were not clear and I had so many other issues with that too. But thank god my every little issue got cleared in this book.

We got to know Dylan more than we got in 1st book. We say a great character development in Ace’s character and Dylan too. I liked how this book was not about sex and only sex. This book really got a plot and a PLOT TWIST, yeah guys a plot twist and it was a little bit predictable but yet so good.

“Because with you, I’ve found me.”

All in all, this book was great. I loved it. I loved the romance. I loved the sex scenes. I loved the character development. I loved the plot line. I loved the plot twist. I loved how their relationship got stronger day by day with each obstacle. I loved the side characters. I loved Dylan’s family, they were sooooooooooo cool. I hate Ace’s parents and his manager :D lol

And so continues my adventures in audio with Ace and Dylan as they once again saved me from bleeding ears and listening to the conversations of our new office neighbours who upped their game last week ensuring the whole world heard their questions on commode use. Anyhoo.

description ...with you, I’ve found me.”

With the romance kicked up a notch, Locked sees Dylan and Ace no longer having to hide their relationship but at the same time introduces the added pressure of their every move being scrutinised by the media. And it’s that aspect that brings emotion into play as you really get to see the depth and strength of their love and trust for one another. The ending might not have entirely been my cuppa—was a tad too heavy on the cheese for me—but I actually don’t care because you can’t not love these men. Or Dylan’s family who bring the humour in spades. I’m off to dust off my hat for Wedlocked which I’ll be reading in good old fashioned ebook format because thank you baby Jesus our neighbours have left the building.

After their secret affair is outed by the tabloids Ace and Dylan put on their big boy panties and decide it's time to face the music. For Dylan it turns out to mean a lot more modeling contracts coming his way now that he's on the arms of famed action star Ace Locke. But for Ace it means canceled contracts and movie deals taken back now that he's not just out, but out and in a relationship. The two have a lot to get through, but as long as they have each other they decide it will all be okay. Won't it?

I was a little worried about the follow up to Aced because I wasn't sure how angsty it would get and I don't like overly-angsty books. But there actually wasn't too much drama going on and there was no over the top annoying drama scenes between Ace and Dylan. I liked that the authors kept it classy with this book and gave us a story even more romantic than the first book.

I loved how this story solidified the relationship between Ave and Dylan and how it brought them even closer than they were before. I loved seeing how they held on to each other while facing such a big hurdle and it made me fall deeper in love with both of them.

I have to say, I was very surprised when the ending came and I realized there would be another book. But it was a good surprise and I'm looking forward to the conclusion of these two amazing characters. I just know there finish will be nothing but the best.

I swear to God I love Dylan and Ace to pieces and I enjoyed Charlie David’s narration so so much; but much like most of the other Ella Frank/Brooke Blaine co-writes this is just too long and uneventful to not get bored at some point. Even the sex got boring.

It took me more than nine month to even pick up the 2nd book at all and boy do I have the feeling I will never finish this series.

I even deducted a few more points for the very ending of this book. What tf was Ace thinking proposing to Dylan in such a public manor? I don’t know about you, but I really despise such grand gestures/public declarations of love —to make a production out of a private moment like that. NOT FOR ME.

Book #2 in this great series.

Remember what happened in the first book?
Ace and Dylan have just been caught by a paparazzo in their Vegas hotel room.
And now it's Crazy-Town wherever they go. The paps are camping outside Ace's house, Dylan's apartment-building, the film-studios. They're everywhere!
And Ace is worried that it will be too much for Dylan - he's not used to photographers following him.
But Dylan very quickly promises Ace that nothing will ever be able to keep him away from him.
He will learn how to live the life of a Hollywood-Superstar-Boyfriend.

But will he really be able to handle all that pressure?
And will Ace be able to handle the guilty feeling that it's all his fault that Dylan has to go through all this mess?

But Ace is kind of the only one suffering; Hollywood still doesn't like their action stars to be gay - Dylan's getting jobs all over the world now that he's been seen with the Hollywood superstar!

Will the young love survive all that drama??
And added to all that, what will happen when your past comes back to stir up trouble!?!?

WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH ACE & DYLAN???
WILL THERE BE A HEA???
WILL THERE BE A CLIFFY???

description

I'm not telling you that of course ☺

I LOOOOVED THIS STORY!

We're finally back with our two boys.
And the second book was just as adorable as the first one!

We have LOTS of very sexy moments....

description

And so many frustrating paparazzi moments ...
We constantly hope that Dylan will not run away from it all...
We're hoping all through the book that nothing bad will happen to Dylan and Ace....

Ugh, I just want to hit every homophobic person in Hollywood and the rest of the world over the head with amazing books like this one!!!

description

I would love to take a trip through time - to check if people 200 years from now are smarter or if it's all so horribly Trumpish ...

But back to the story -

Dylan and Ace pretty much already have their HEA - there's - THANK YOU JESUS - not much drama that's causing our darlings to fight. It's just the outside world that's having trouble with them.
I love books where authors do not create lame and unnecessary drama!

But of course it's not yet time to happily ride into the sunset - there are problems to solve and careers to save... And we have an amazing time reading how they're fighting for their HEA epilogue!!!!

LOCKED was another erotic & adorable Hollywood-Love-Story about two guys fighting to find their HEA! Run to your nearest amazon to find out if they finally succeed. ☺

Book two in this series picks back up right where book one left off, with PresLocke's weekend getaway in Vegas being ambushed by the paparazzi. Ace Locke & Dylan Prescott's relationship is now public knowledge. After coming out about a year ago, this is Ace's first relationship. The world knew Ace was gay, but now they had a visual to go with it. A stunning male model who is also Ace's co-star in Insurrection 2.

Hollywood's hottest action star is officially off the market, & everyone wants the details on this new couple. As Ace & Dylan return to L.A. to wrap up filming, things are intense & a bit difficult with the press hounding them relentlessly & trying to get a glimpse of their private moments. They are living life under a microscope & every part of Ace's life is currently a disaster, except Dylan.

 photo 916B5428-AAD6-4F63-A343-33475F4FC808_zpsyxltixta.jpg

Ace's personal life starts to impact his career, but his main focus is Dylan. As things get more serious between them, they really make each other their top priority. They are falling hard for one another & as false stories & lies are being told, they are very protective of each other, & what they are building together.

-There was no way I would ever get enough of this man. How was it possible that I could have him like this whenever I wanted him? That he could have me. I'd had no idea it could be this good.

-I still couldn't get used to the fact that he was mine.

I've gotta be frank here, Locked is a total lovefest between Ace and Dylan. A cynical reader might find them nausea inducing with the amount of sweetness going on. I mean these two men are so perfect together and they did everything right and there is so much love, trust and understanding. Is simply astounding and I'm just gonna soak up all the positive vibe.

After the blow out from the previous book, Ace and Dylan have so deal with some really crazy paparazzi stalking their every move. I don't know what kind of A list star can garner that kind of attention, but apparently Ace Locke does.

While, Ace's career is taking a hit after the fiasco, Dylan's career is soaring through the roof with the amount of limelight he is getting. But is there gonna be some drama in the love nest? Of course not. In this second installment, I'm starting to see Ace in a whole new light. I always thought he is a bit of an ass in the previous book, but in here he seems like a change man. Who knew coming out is good for his soul. Ace is such a loving boyfriend in here and throughout Dylan's ordeal with his past, he is always there as a pillar of strength.

I have to say the book started off slow and the first quarter is all about Ace and Dylan getting on the love sack. Definitely not complaining on the amount of great sex we are having, but the plot was not going anywhere for the first quarter. As the blurb didn't give much info into the plot, I was left wondering where are we heading next.

My favorite part is when we get to meet Dylan's hippie parents, Sunshine and Ziggy. Oh my, oh my, I never met such wonderful crazy soul before. They are a riot and I'm sure Dylan have a memorable childhood with them. The drama with Dylan's mum is also interesting and of course my heart had to break for little Dylan.

Anyway, here I thought this will wrap up Ace and Dylan's love story but apparently, they are not done yet. There is still another book for the couple and will it be the final book? I don't know, but I think it just might. Stay tuned for Wedlocked!

The dynamic writing duo Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine have delivered another winner in this fresh, heartwarming, and seductive M/M romance.

Locked is the second book in the PresLocke series, and it begins moments after the surprising cliffhanger in Aced in which Ace’s worst fears are realized. The Hollywood action superstar recently came out of the closet, but he was trying to keep his relationship with Dylan under wraps. This book deals with the fallout that ensues when their relationship is exposed.

I really liked this follow-up. It’s a little more serious, but no less romantic or enjoyable, than the previous book. In fact, realizing how much is at stake for both men helped resolve one of the issues I had with Aced—the need for secrecy. This story digs deeper into the hearts of the characters as the massive scandal tests the bonds of their new relationship. Neither Dylan nor Ace behave as I anticipated, and I truly felt the connection that I craved. I absofreakinglutely loved them together.

I was thrilled by the reunion with characters from Brooke Blaine’s L.A. Liaisons series and Ella Frank’s Sunset Cove series. (Side note: Paige’s cameo made me that much more excited to read her story when P.I.T.A. by Brook Blaine is released.) They provide the bulk of the humor, as does Dylan’s amazing hippie family. Once again, the authors bring the heat with Ace and Dylan indulging in some very naughty behind closed doors activities.

The setup for the ending is nice, but I would have enjoyed it more if it weren’t so heavy on the cheese. Still, the story is very satisfying, and I was super excited to read the epilogue. Surprise! There is no epilogue. Instead, the writers are giving readers another book as the conclusion to Ace and Dylan’s story. I kind of feel duped again since I didn’t know there would be a second book, let alone that this would turn into a trilogy. I don’t mind spending more time with these wonderful characters though. I only hope there’s enough plot left to warrant another book.

This picks up right where book 1 left off, with both Ace and Dylan exposed. The paps swarming and storming their lives. Dylan has to come to grips with what living in the limelight really means, while everyone wants to know about the hottie on Ace's arm.

What I absolutely loved the most about this novel was the depth and emotion between Ace and Dylan. While there was chaos and drama unfolding around them, they stayed true to each other. I couldn't get enough of that!

"If you're with me, I think I could take on anything."

We get to see other sides of Ace and Dylan with the addition of their families and also how these boys react under pressure. I was a huge Dylan fan from the get-go and while I certainly fell for Ace's sexiness, I wanted more from him. I wanted to see Ace put himself on the line. Be vulnerable and real. Let his guard down.

Ella and Brooke delivered this in spades. We learn a lot more about Dylan's past and Ace's livelihood is tested. Yet through it all, Ace shined. He showed maturity, depth and I saw him as a helluva a lot more than a super action star hottie. I got what Dylan saw and believed wholeheartedly in these two. Together they could conquer anything.

"You're so much more than just a dream...you're my reality, Dylan. Now and forever."

I really enjoyed this book. While the chemistry was still off the charts, there was also a lot more feels - emotional and relationship growth - as Dylan and Ace fall more in love. I'm looking forward to the next book!

4.5 Stand-up-for-love Stars!

 photo B1364989-452A-4228-B51F-A9092A61A2AE_zpsqmcptbiv.jpg

LOCKED is the much anticipated second installment in the PresLocke series. Ace Locke, fresh out of the closet mega-superstar, finds himself drawn to the vision of masculine perfection on the Calvin Klein highway billboard. When he captures that vision in the flesh as an extra on his current film, sparks begin to fly. He may be out of the closet but he's never had an open-to-the-public relationship. But he just might think Dylan Prescott is the perfect "first time debut" for him!

Dylan and Ace have a love story with its fair share of conflicts. Living in the public eye in itself is very stressful, much less with a guy who's never really been seen with a guy. Openly gay for years, Dylan knows he's signing up for living in a giant fishbowl. Is Ace worth it? Are any of his past secrets sacred or will everything come out in time, thanks to relentless paparazzi.

I always love this stretch of time in any romantic relationship. Yes, there's the physical attraction there but now we've found feelings have grown and with that comes the struggles. Can the heart fight the fight and win? Surely just the physical can't withstand the stress but with love anything is possible, right?

I really enjoyed this story. My heart was attached to Dylan from the get-go but here I really grew to respect Ace a lot. Instead of being self absorbed and arrogant, he's a very down to earth and humble millionaire man. He was the rock that truly held things together for he and Dylan. He stood the most to lose and it didn't matter. They're truly perfect for each other.

With a great balance of steam and romance, conflict and real life struggles, Locked has it all. The duo author writing is seemless and we got several glimpses of characters from both authors' past works- LA Liasons and Sunset Cove were my highlights!

Looking forward to the third installment in the PresLocke series, Wedlocked, due out next year. This book does end in a very happy place without a cliffy.

A sizzling intoxicating addictive read that was dripping with all the feels and of course hot sex!!!!! Ella Frank & Brooke Blaine has me on cloud nine. Seriously, there is a big fat smile on my face right now as I write this review.

Locked picks off where it last left off in the previous book and this time Ace Locke and Dylan Prescott are no longer hiding their relationship since the media got hold of the news. With no need to hide, they are living life. Living in the beauty of their love. And in true Ella Frank & Brooke Blaine fashion, these ladies doesn’t shy or hide when it comes to those sexy steamy scenes that will make anyone blush and squirm. Like any relationship, Ace and Dylan will have their love scrutinized by the public but in the end these two are locked in. And there is nothing going to stop them.

What can I say but I absolutely LOVE this book hard and of course the authors. Ella Frank & Brooke Blaine did a fantastic job creating a romance that is a symphony of banter, heat, passion, friendship, love, and intensity. With their stunning prose, Brooke and Ella did a fabulous job in blending their two different writing styles into one unforgettable epic love story. So if you are new to M/M romance books and is looking for a book to pop that cherry, then I would highly recommend ACED and LOCKED. Two amazing authors. Two hot main characters. And one phenomenal romance.

First Read: 4.5 stars
Reread: 3 stars

Since I read this series when I was still getting to know MM romance, I was afraid it won't live up to my memories. While the first book was as good as I remember, the second one was not.

I felt there were a lot of unnecessary scenes, but mainly I was angry about how Dylan's past was managed. TOO MUCH DRAMA. Not only I've read that plot one hundred times before and I'm tired of it, but this time, it wasn't even realistic. Let's just say that someone blackmailed them and they acted like I've dreamed of that scene (I actually had to go back to check I hadn't skipped the part where they talked about what the hell had just happened). So yeah, kind of surprised I gave it such a high ranting. And it was last year.

Did my taste really change that much? I'm torned between having an existential crisis or going back in time to knock some sense into my 20-year-old self.

Former review:

I'm always a little worried with book series because the second one is often disappointing. This one has a little less dirty-talking (which was my favourite Aced's feature) and more action. But I won't complain because they are so hot. In Locked we finally know about Dylan's past. Although the situation was a little cliché, they managed it well. At this point, I wasn't so thriller about the story as I was with "Aced". But that's when Ace saves the day. Because he's the most beautiful boyfriend in the world. For those who already read it, I'm not talking about the final scene. I'm talking about this:

“Here’s the thing, Dylan. If I could change the world, if I could wrap you up in my arms and make sure nothing bad ever happened to you again, you need to know that I would do that in a heartbeat.”

This story was over 350 pages and I can honestly say that over half of it felt like filler. The chapters dedicated to their trip to Florida felt especially tedious. I haven't read any of B. Blaine's solo books so I can't really comment on them but I have read several of Ella's books and my main problem with them is that they tend to be so unnecessarily long. Or the series as a whole is unnecessarily drawn out to the point that I no longer care about the relationship I fell in love with in book one..*ahem, the Temptation series.*

The beginning and ending of this story was pretty good, the middle... not so much. I'd say this was 2.5 stars, rounded down. I still really like the MCs, though, and am looking forward to their HEA in book three.

This is book two of the PresLocke Series and it is just as Fan-F*cking-tastic as book one! This story picks up right where book one, Aced, left off - so yes you need to read them in order. Let me tell you these two authors have really gone the extra mile in this story-- I know I say that every single time I read one of their books, but each time I am amazed by their stories and I fall in love with their characters. So it really does bear repeating - Amazing story! This story deals with all the drama and trouble a relationship in the Hollywood spotlight can bring including gossip, rumors, lies, family leeches, and more - and as these two deal with each issue as it arises they become stronger for it.

For all of you wondering, this book is FULL of hot as hell sex - yes these two men know how to turn each other out and they do a spectacular job of bringing the heat!

Besides learning to drive each other crazy, in Locked we see a lot of deep feelings - so yes, there are lots of Feelz in this episode and I LOVED it! If I had to explain this story I would say this is the "getting to know you better" and "falling deeply" stage of the relationship and watching these two was a lot of fun! In addition to Ace and Dylan we get to see characters from Sunset Cove so watch out for those Cameo's and get ready because this story isn't done yet.. there is one more chapter coming and they are going to make us wait a while which is probably my only complaint - However, I have faith that the wait will be worth while and Dylan and Ace's story will be wrapped up tight quicker than we realize.

I recommend this series and think you will enjoy these characters and all their shenanigans just as much as I have! 5 Stars!

Now that’s what I’m talking about!

What I appreciate so much about Ella Frank (writing with Brooke Blaine) is her consistency. She consistently gives an in depth dual POV. She consistently brings on the romance. She consistently delivers the smex. This was no different.

Markedly more enjoyable because the emotions were definitely felt. Sure, Ace and Dylan had a whirlwind romance as witnessed in Aced, where lust mainly ruled their actions, but now they have to see if they’re strong enough to weather the tough times. And boy, tough times are ahead for these two.

Having their relationship outed brings about a whole bunch of new problems. Ace’s Hollywood image has changed and unfortunately, his career takes a hit. It’s the complete opposite for Dylan, as everyone wants a piece of him due to his connection with the megastar. Their lives are no longer private, they’re constantly hounded by the press, and the pressures weigh heavily as many try to capitalize on their notoriety. However despite all the challenges, the naysayers, the unbearable scrutiny, their feelings never, ever waver - they only grow stronger.

So of course this was hot, but it also brought the feels big time. I wasn’t expecting a trilogy with these two, but I’m all for dragging it out ala Try. Bring it!

This book, this series, Ace and Dylan are absolutely, wholeheartedly BRILLIANT.

4.5 stars ⭐ ✨ and I might even be convinced for a 5 star.

If I thought I loved book 1 and Ace and Dylan then, I didn't expect to fawn and fall all over again with Ace and Dylan over this book.

Just, fuck, the strength of these two. The magnitude of grace, bravery, and will these two have leaves me in awe. Like THIS. THIS IS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT FOLKS.

I had a reoccurring thought, and to give the benefit of the doubt, I haven't read any of the recent Brooke and Ella books (wellll if you don't count dnf) and I only read Ella's recent releases, so I have no framework of understanding Brooke's writing, but I'll be damned, it feels like their older words (Temptation and now Preslocke) are some of their finest work. Perhaps, even better than their current ones if you're asking me.

I fucking loved Dylan and Ace and if it all goes well for book 3, this series might be on one of my top favorite series of the year.

LockedLocked is just one of those books that takes you high, takes you low, and yet, somehow, manages to keep you smiling the whole damn time you’re reading it.

Do you know what I mean? I hope for your sake that you do, because it is—for me, at least—the BEST way to read a book. You feel the feels. You cringe and you worry. You get angered and frustrated. You hate to see the characters you’ve fallen in love with struggle. But, through it all, you know you’re reading something special, something overflowing with GOOD feels too—happiness, love, romance, SEX, content—and it’s just…

Amazing.

That was what this book was. It picks up immediately after the ending of the stellar Aced, and gets moving. It was a pleasure to be back with Ace and Dylan, to finally find out what the fallout of their relationship would amount to—to find out if they’d make it. It was a thrill to see them face their detractors, to look to each other to find something necessary and beautiful, to lean on each other when the going got tough.

And it did. It did get tough. And yet, I felt so freaking good about the way the story was going. I was confident I would be left a smiling, giddy, excited mess. Which, if it isn't obvious, I WAS. I was amused, I could NOT stop grinning, I was turned the fuck on.

But mostly, I was just happy. Happy to be back with Ace, who I've loved, LOVED since Hooker, and Dylan, who is an absolute Daydream. Happy to see some of my favorite people pop in, amuse and advise, and just generally be a reward for a loyal and loving reader of this dream team of authors. Happy to have read Locked.

So, yeah. It took me high. It took me low. And it took no time at all to finish this book, and decide I needed MORE. ~ Beth, 5 stars

~~~
I’m a bit at a loss for words—the huge grin on my face after finishing Locked pretty much speaks for my feelings on this amazing book by Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine.
Picking up right where Aced left us readers hanging, Ace and Dylan are now outed and dealing with the ramifications thereof. But they’re doing it together. And it’s hard, very hard *that’s what he said* on both of them. Especially with the challenges of balancing life with rabid paparazzi, curious co-workers, limelight-loving family members, and curious friends.
But what I really and truly love about Ace and Dylan is that they’re LIVING… not hiding. Trying to get through every day—and all the challenges that life throws at them. And they’re doing it together. Life is real. Life is disappointing. Life is heartbreaking. Life is life. But with each other, life sure as hell is worth living and living well, and I can’t wait to see where their road leads them next. ~ Missy, 5 stars isn’t enough…
~~~

So, there I sat—dangling out on a cliff after finishing Aced. I was nervous and a little afraid of where this story was heading, and desperate to know what happened next. I was sickly, hopelessly in love with Ace Locke and Dylan Prescott, and the adorable, tender, dead sexy relationship they had formed with each other. But I knew that they were at a crossroads, a pivotal point in their relationship where the wrong move (or hell, the wrong word) could spell disaster. My heart was in limbo, my mind completely jarred by that abrupt dead end and then...Locked.

Locked is—well, it's the best, most fantastic, gentlest, realist, most heartwarming, giant-goobery-smile-making, perfectly cushioned landing from that cliff Ms. Blaine and Ms. Frank left me hanging on. It was the best. It's not all smiles and swoons (though there are a heap ton of those)—there were some incredibly heartbreaking moments along the way. But this story defined the relationship between Ace and Dylan, and y'all? PresLocke are #RelationshipGoals for real.

They're not perfect, but they're perfect for each other and their entire relationship made me so freaking happy I'm having a hard time using my words here—this is where I just devolve to *flails* and *squeals* because, GAH! So much love.

And, in case you were wondering… Still dead sexy. Maybe even sexier because of all the feels and the evolvement of their relationship. The whole thing just worked for me. It more than worked for me—it made me so super happy, which is the exact way I want to feel at the end of every book I read. And now? Now my heart is just greedy. I thought this would be the end and yet, here I sit hungry for more of this fantastic series. ~ Shelly, 5 stars

Locked is book two in the PresLocke trilogy by the writing duo, Ella frank and Brooke Blaine. After book one sets the stage that will expose Ace Locke fully to the public and Dylan Prescott, model who is playing actor for a few weeks in Hollywood.

So it is not news that I will love and devour any book by Ella Frank, but I think what I love the most about this series so far is that we have two leading men who are 100% committed to one another. The drama comes at them from all sides, but not from within. I absolutely love that. The angst isn’t driven by the characters, but is simply there because of the situation they are in. It’s hard to recall a lot of books where the drama isn’t character behavior driven. It’s refreshing as hell.

I loved getting to see these two work together as the impact of their relationship is felt. Between the backlash Ace feels and the sudden rise of popularity for Dylan, it was a fantastic journey.

Another sizzling release by these two authors! Ace and Dylan burn up the pages in and outside of the bedroom and I can’t wait for the final installment!

This is book #2 in the PresLocke trilogy, and I adored this book. Even though I didn't like this book as much as the first book, I still really enjoyed this one. Ace and Dylan have become some of my favorite characters ever, and I love and adore them both so much. At the end of book one (warning: spoilers if you haven't read the first book) Ace and Dylan are photographed in a hotel together and now the whole world knows they are together. I loved the beginning of this book as Dylan and Ace try to figure out how to deal with all the unwanted attention and pressure from their families and everything was really interesting. I thought it was sad how Ace's career took a major hit and he was getting dropped out of so many upcoming projects but Dylan was getting offered so many amazing deals with his modeling career.

I love that Ace is so intimidating and larger than life, but he's weak for Dylan and it's so adorable. The romance is written so well, their chemistry is beautiful. I love Dylan, he's been through so much and had a rough childhood but he's such a positive energy and he is so flirty and confident and adorable. One of my favorite scenes was right in the beginning when Ace is on the phone dealing with his publicist all day and Dylan can tell he's stressed out because of it so he distracts him on the kitchen counter. It was cute and sexy and I love these two together so much.

Minor spoilers ahead. I also LOVED seeing Ace go back to Florida with Dylan and meet his family and Derek, his room mate. Those were hands down my favorite scenes in the book. Cute shit. I just wasn't a huge fan of the drama that took place towards the end of the book, with the black mail and the family problems. It was distracting from the romance between Ace and Dylan and caused a lot of problems for them and I just didn't care for it.

Of course, like the first book this one also ends on a minor cliff hanger. I can't believe I have to wait till next year for the next and final book in this series! I can't get enough of Ace and Dylan, I love them both so much! I can't wait for the next book!

I’m not what one would call a ray of fucking sunshine. In fact I’m kind of cynical and sarcastic and if I even smell an emotion other than mile ire I usually try and diffuse the situation with a joke or sarcastic remark. I roll my eyes at couples and snarl at children. But there is one thing that melts my cold, dead heart: baby animal videos on YouTube. But now I have another thing to add to that very short list – #PresLocke

Because, in a word, they are ADORABLE! These two had me in the foetal position. I was a quivering mess of good feelings. A gooey mass of big smiles and audible awww’s. I was a great big steaming pile of the warm and fuzzies. And here’s my biggest, most shameful secret: This book had me giggling. Giggling, for the love of god! Ugh!

Anyway… the book. Ace and Dylan have come tumbling out of the closet and they are being hounded by the paps. This second instalment was interesting because the dynamic has now changed. While Ace’s image has taken a hit, Dylan’s is on the rise and while you may think this is going to cause petty drama the exact opposite is true.

I just loved this book. Usually I’m addicted to angst and drama but Locked won me over for other reasons. This story is filled with banter, hotness and above all love between two people who are unwavering in their determination to make it work. I loved this book because it made me laugh and swoon and sweat. Just read it.

Whew! That's more like it!!

I think I established in my review of Aced[book 1] that I wasn't overly content with how it played out based on the high standards I had set for it. Fortunately, this one was waaay better.

I connected with the story better here than with book 1 and appearances by Jordan & Derek from Devil's Kiss , as well as from Dylan's awesome family really helped things along.

The sexy times in this was much much better and my body would like to thank the authors for that. ;)

The sheer sappiness(is this even a word?) in the the last couple of pages really tugged at my heart strings and I loved how it ended! Loved it! *sniff sniff*

Now I will CALMLY wait on the final installment in this trilogy which, I hope (fingers & toes crossed), would be the best of the lot.
