Well, I finally finished it, but to pour lemon juice in the paper cut, it doesn't end. Turns out there's a 20+ volume sequel that's not available in English. I'm not sure if that's a relief or a nightmare.

Je n'avais jamais fini cette série que j'avais commencé en 2005... Le début était vraiment intéressant, puis la découverte de certains vins était bien sûr presque une ivresse * sort *. Mais en fait c'est hyper redondant, autour du tome 13 on se doute déjà de la fin. Et je déteste le fait qu'il y ait une suite et que le tome 44 ne soit pas une conclusion digne de ce nom. Non, vraiment c'est pas ouf cette fin alors que les persos méritaient mieux. Notamment l'évolution de Kanzaki lui-même, j'aurais voulu voir plus de développement personnel. Bref, j'aurais passé des heures à lire des noms que je n'ai pas retenus. Après, le graphisme est toujours assez incroyable, précis et vraiment bien recherché.

Un peu décevant comme fin (dans le sens où ce n'en est pas vraiment une). Cela dit, la dernière bataille était assez enlevante, philosophe même! Alors je leur pardonne.

Même si je n'ai pas tant envie de lire la série Mariage, qui débute 1 an après la fin de cette série-ci, je vais la commencer et voir ce qu'il en est.

When I read the first eleven volumes a few years ago, I hoped that the remaining thirty-three volumes would be translated because I was enjoying the series. Now that I've read them all, I can say that I enjoyed the entire series and am now hoping the sequel series is translated because there are a number more than a few loose ends still to be tied up.
