In the sixth and final book of the Alpha Company Women Series, we meet Sara Winston, the soft-hearted daughter of the newly appointed British Foreign Secretary Douglas Winston.

Already working in Philadelphia when her father’s outspokenness gets him noticed by a certain terrorist organisation, the twenty-eight-year-old Doctor treats the threat to her safety as a joke, particularly as she’s thousands of miles away from London and her father’s controlling personality. The stubborn and headstrong side of Sara delights in losing the FBI agents assigned to protect her, and living up to her reputation of being “Impossible”.

As the last single Alpha Company Director, Marcus has finally realised that being single isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

While there’s no shortage of women willing to share his bed, Marcus longs to find one who can hold his interest for longer than it takes to undress her, someone who can hold down a conversation that doesn’t bore him to tears, and more importantly, someone who will understand his past and why the Alpha Company family is so important to him, and not whine when family business interferes with their plans and has to come first.

Entrusted with protecting Luke’s cousin, Marcus relishes the opportunity to step up and lead the joint operation between Alpha Company and Stalwart Security and Protection Services, run by Ryan Tucker, a long-time friend of Alpha Company.

What he’s not prepared for is the fact that their “client”, Sara Winston, is the most stubborn, headstrong women he’s ever met.

When, in a moment of madness, he gives into temptation and kisses her, Marcus is left shell-shocked when he realises that actually, Sara is the first woman that’s ever left an impression on him.

Realising that Sara was equally affected by the kiss, he has to keep reminding himself that she’s their client. He can’t risk everything he’s worked for, no matter how much he wants to take things with Sara to the next level.

As the terrorist threat suddenly becomes very real, Marcus has to step up and do everything in his power to keep the fiery Doctor alive, and more importantly, a part of his future.

For her sake and his, he needs to pull off the Impossible!

Book six brings to an end the Alpha Company Women Series as we round off the stories of Luke, Danny, JT, Matt, Drew, Tony, Thomas and Marcus, and the wonderful women that inspired the series name, with what I hope is a fitting finale, that will hopefully leave you laughing and crying.

But if you’re wondering if that’s the last you’ll see of the Alpha Company men and women, let me reassure you that with the introduction of Series Two, the Stalwart Security Series, the stories may have mostly moved over to the US, as Ryan Tucker and his team get their own adventures, but the Alpha Company men and women will still be very much a part of the action.

Do you seriously think I could leave behind the outrageous yet adorable Danny and Matt, the quiet man Luke, or the serious, yet gorgeously steadfast JT? And who in their right mind would ever think of leaving Suzie and Hannah behind? Me? That would be a Hell No!

The whole gang is back in all their glory in Relentless, Book One of the Stalwart Security Series, with a few new team members to drool over.

Great!

I chose this rating because this was a really great book. I really enjoyed all of the characters. Except for a few. This was a book of compassion, kindness, and understanding your self. Sarah and Marcus I think they made a really great couple. Sarah she was so compassionate about her job she was willing to help about anybody that she could. I love the way she worked at the homeless shelter and help the people they are. Marcus he she was a very compassionate person and also funny and kind. This was an amazing book I really enjoyed it. Great read, I recommend this book to all romance readers. 😊💖

Meeting your match

Ok, I'm officially hooked on Beth Abbott. After reading book 6 in the Alpha series, I had to purchase her other series too. I feel so invested in the characters that I need to know more. Marcus being the last single bachelor of Alpha Company was great to know. Sara being this impossible personality was just his match. Love struck unexpectedly. Sara had a personality that matched with the Alpha wife's. It's natural that she would knock Marcus off kilter when they met. Like all the others before him, he had to fight to keep his girl with him. As always, sex scenes are great.

This was my least favorite book by this author. I did not like Sara in the least. She was a nightmare for all of her security detail and her cavalier attitude made me like like her even less. I despise characters who feel that they know more about threats and risks than the security professionals. No one came into the hospital and told her how to care for her patients, so why should she do that to her protective detail? This set up makes me nuts. Not to mention the author made every FBI agent out to be incompetent and useless. I understand setting a scene, but it was just too much for this reader.

Next, please!

Sweet romantic thriller

No plot spoilers
No real potential triggers although there is a kidnap and some violence.
As ever from the pen of Beth Abbott the characterisation is spot on, with individual personalities and motivators that allows the reader to form a connection.
This book sees the fall of favourite character Marcus, and I loved it despite the FL, Sara, being a bit TSTL at times.
The plotline meandered a bit but got there in the end.
There are some sex scenes and some swearing
I have no problem recommending the series to fans of the genre

Evading the threat

Dr sara is in the states to work in trauma er but her father is making everyone mad at what political stand he is taken so now there is a threat on him and his family. Sara has been so angry at him that she has been evading them until Marcus comes and by first impression it couldnt have been better. Things get spicy and tricky when the threat comes to her.

The last single director of Alpha Company, Marcus meets his match in this dramatic and emotional episode.
The young woman, a Doctor by profession, is on a two year contract in the U.S. for ER trauma experience.
However some home grown terrorists have other thoughts, and it's a very traumatic rescue to be executed. Enough of my synapses, it's a great read, and well worth the time.

Loved Sara!

I loved the chemistry between Sara and Marcus. Sara got kidnapped along with Haley and another doctor. It was a harrowing time for all involved.
Sara and Marcus finally get their HEA.
Thank you Ms. Abbott for another great story. Can't wait to read the next chapter.

Just WOW

This book was full of fun, laughter, sorrow, and love. Admiration for how the characters reacted in stressful and deadly times. To live with the disability of hearing loss and come out on top, when most give up. I highly recommend Beth Abbott's book they keep you on the edge of your seat waiting for the next twist or revelation in the story.

Alpha Company

Loved it. I bought the whole 6 Book Series. They flowed from Book 1 to Book 6 so easily. The sad part is, it ended.
