Gucci Red: A Louisville Love Story
“I should have listened to my mama.” Those were words I said to myself time after during my relationship with Tedrick “Teddy” Porter. I was that ride-or-die thinking my loyalty would be reciprocated eventually, but I never got a return on my investment. After two years of upsets and let downs, he crossed the point of no return, giving my mama a reason to say “I told you so.” After being disrespected for so long, I had to get my grown woman on and say goodbye to the first love I ever knew. It’s funny how it takes a small tragedy to make everything else fall in place.
After getting over one heartbreak, I decided to switch up my ways, becoming the woman I should’ve been all along... And I can only thank my new boo Spade for that. By turning me into Gucci Red, I don’t think even HE knew what he had done. He had his secrets too, but at least I could live with them. As life takes me on a rollercoaster of love and hate, I do things I never would have done without my transformation... I can’t wait to come for everything they said I couldn’t have and more.

Gucci Red
Grenada really went through a lot dealing with Teddy. I'm so glad that she finally got fed up after 2 years and decided that she deserved better. I'm glad that Spade came into her life and brought out Gucci Red. Of course with any relationship there is going to be ups and downs. There will also be family secrets that start spilling out. I was shocked at her best friend Kalisha. She was always putting her down, but she wasn't no better than Gucci was. Gucci's mom made me want to beat her with her own spatula. I can see why Gucci left home. Spades mom is too sneaky for me. I'll be glad when everything that she is hiding us revealed. I have a feeling that all heck is going to break loose when Space finds out. Bring on part 2.

Its Gucci
Good From Beginning to end. I read it nonstop. The drama has been laid out in this part. We know how she got her name and how she's gonna grow into herself. Poor Tedririck mistreated these females and no one wants him. Now that he's down. Rashika is foul because she's doing the most over her brother's death when he was the cause of it. Spade's mother is just as bad using her son for her own needs. Tedrick's mom too. She don't even wanna take care of him now he's sickly Spade seems like a good man but he's getting screwed by his own people. I hope he wise up and toughens up. I'm about to get into part 2.

I love Spade and Gucci relationship he was just what the doctor ordered. I know she about to have ish cause Teddy is not going to let this go, and he probably gonna be half crazy too! I’m looking forward to the next installment so i can find out what’s really going on! On to book 2

Great Read
I love Spade and Gucci Red. I hope things work out for them but I feel there is more to their story. I truly enjoyed this book. I am about to read 2 and 3 after the Connecticut Kings series.

It was a good read. I would definitely read part 2. Gucci seems a little slow like her elevator doesn't go up to the top floor. Hopefully in part 2 she'll have more sense.

MZ.Demeanor does it again You have to know that when you pick up a misdemeanor special you definitely got yourself something to read .... always fresh with a TWIST TURN AND SPIN.... Original fresh and crisp I always got to say it's OUT FREAKING STANDING SISTA..... Gucci Red is not show one of them run-of-the-mill chick she have her mind with her and she uses it well she have an agenda of goals and she's willing to work hard to achieve unfortunately for her she wants up went to the use of a womanizer NRB two years of her life she spent with his garbage azz and now all his roosted has come home to roast ......The last straw has come and she sticking to her guns ....hidden babies and thot azz baby momma throw in his best friend Jay and you got yourself a certified tale....a series of mishap brings in her new man of interest and HE'S what the doctor ordered......conniving parents tricked him out of his future..yasss there's some bones in those closet can't wait to see it unfold.....

I must say Gucci Red was an intriguing read. Gucci is a 17 year old girl who life takes a turn when her significant other Teddy get caught up in some mess. She’s one that most would call light skinned with freckles, people picked on her, and the man she loved the most felt certain way about her. As I followed this story I noticed that the story line was intriguing and kept me wanting more. Teddy is a poor excuse of a man who has his people picked. Spade’s, a stand up guy who life took a turn when he find out some gut wrenching news regarding his mother. Following friends and family members got these characters in a whirlwind of trouble. I was truly hurt how they talked to one another in this book, and how they referred to one another. From lying about their whereabouts, to running a family business, deceit, betrayal, burning and so much more. There was a few eye opening scenes, that left me in awe, this is a must read.

All I can say is this book had so much that my head was on a rollercoaster ride going back and forth. Teddy was a snake he deserved everything that happened to him. Jake I knew he was shady glad he got his just desserts. Gucci now that little lady have a long way to go but Spade will get her there. This book had it all betrayal, murder, lies, deceit, love and evil. If you haven't got it you need too right away.

When the smoke clears and you see things/people for what/who they really are is just what Grenada (Gucci) experienced. She was young and naive when it came to Teddy but it's all apart of the learning process. Teddy is what we call a wanna be follower. He wasn't made for the streets gambling or the lifestyle and everything it bought his way. He would have been better flipping burgers. Spade has potential but he's gotta learn how to let Gucci in and stop doing what his parents what and do what he wants. Excellent read with excellent editing!

This was a good read but had some minor errors. I liked how the story wasn't too descriptive. This book will have you guessing what's going to happy next. I was heated when I found out the links when the story started coming together. You will start disliking this one individual that's a snitch but don't get too much in your feelings because as the story play out Mz. Demeanor will come full force with the next twist. Omg you will see how family can mean less when it comes to money.

Weird
This book was ok, I'm still trying to understand it, Teddy was just a mess and I feel bad for him now that he has no one but he brought that on himself, that baby mama just needs to move on she knew what her brother was into, spades entire family is weird wtf is going on with his mama? And y did it end like that??

Liked this story line.
I think this book was good. I like Gucci she needs to not be so gullible. Poor Teddy I feel like everyone turned their backs on him. I felt as tho this book was a little slow but it needed to be. I can't wait to see what happens next.

An ok read
This was just ok for me. It took a lot to keep my attention. It started off slow. Then it picked up pace towards the end. I will think about reading part two.
