IT'S LIVE!! Blog Tour + Excerpt

What an incredibly sexy look into what's been going on with Jamie and Hunter. Fans of the Stark series are really going to enjoy (and be pleasantly surprised by) the turn of events in this novella. These two are still very much in love. J. Kenner packed plenty of steamy loving within these pages. The only issue I had, one I've always had, was with Jamie and her reluctance to Ryan. It's the underlying theme of their story (not just in this book) and the absurd reasons for her hesitance never settled well with me. Anyhoo, Ryan was just as amazing as ever and I had a blast catching up with this couple.

Over three years ago, I took a leap and picked up a book by J. Kenner, Release Me, and I’m so glad I did! That first J. Kenner book began my mad love for this author’s poetic-sounding prose. The Stark series remains one of my all-time favorites today, one that OWNS ME. Every word and every book that J. Kenner writes are PURE SEDUCTION. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Tempt Me, the latest J. Kenner sensation, wrapped me in a blanket of smolder and sweetness while seducing every ounce of me.



As I inhaled Tempt Me, I was instantly CAPTIVATED…CONSUMED…CHARGED. The magnetism of the melt-worthy words drew me to them like a moth to a flame, fueling me. My body burned for this book, a fire sparking to life. Every word ignited every part of me.

Short easy fast pace read. And a couple who has some time together!! I didn't read the first book due to.. well i got this book as a blind date lol 🤣🤣🤣 but idk this doesn't seem like a couple ill really enjoy..

Jamie and Ryan have been together for few years and Ryan thinks its time to make that step in asking his woman to marry him. Jamie has some "i do" issues due to her parents..  she loves Ryan and was thinking of marriage.. until her mom drops a bombshell that shakes her.. and now she doesnt wanna marry doesn't want change.. now i can understand jamie.. to me its a paper.. but Ryan is well annoyed about it he wants her to be his wife his.. so he gives her a choice.. marry him or they break up.. now to me that's kinda extreme.. like i get both sides.. but I'm more on Jamie's lol

And i think he didn't really fight to hard for her.. and yes the misunderstanding her thinking he's already moved on.. lol i would feel the same.. he says he loves her but when she kept saying she doesn't wanna marry idk he made me annoyed he didn't fight like the blurb said he would.. but i honestly didn't see it.. :/

I love, love this series, and these novellas are just perfect. I truly can never get enough of the whole gang. As always, J Kenner give us a hot and steamy read. No matter what she give us, she always amazes me with her story's!

This is Jamie and Ryan's story! Its nice to see what they've been up to. I love Jaime, she's a little spitfire! I'm so happy she gets her own story. And Ryan Hunter, man what's not to like about him! Always so dominant, so loving, just so Alfa! I just love these two.

If you haven't read the series, your totally missing out! Each characters brings something, but these two are just so perfect together. He understands her and she loves him more than she never thought possible. Love for Jaime was not on her list of things, but Hunter comes and changes up her world.

I have loved each book in J. Kenner’s Stark Series, they are wonderfully told stories that pull you in and allow you to get emotionally invested in each and every one of the characters. While I completely adore Nikki and Damien Stark, Jamie Archer, Mrs. Stark’s best friend and confidante has owned my heart – lock, stock and barrel. Which may be why I loved Tempt Me so very much!!

While Tempt Me is a novella, don’t underestimate its power. In these pages, we get to see just how much Jamie Archer has grown from her wild child days. She is strong, sexy and smart. But it is the love that she shares with Ryan Hunter that really makes my heart sing. These two are connected, heart and soul, with a love that pulses off the page. Jamie & Ryan share a passion that has not abated one single bit. They are sexy as hell and more than once had me reaching for a cold beverage, because RYAN HUNTER.

Tempt Me was the perfect Valentine’s Day confection – A decadent treat that is a little bittersweet, but with a soft center that melts in your mouth. So, good!!!

I volunteered to review an ARC.

I haven't read this series yet and this is my first of the author but I am so very pleased to say that I enjoyed this book.

Ryan Hunter is the epitome of a book husband (yes, not book boyfriend). Deliciously sexy, alpha, patient and has a huge heart for love. He's very committed to Jamie even when the girl still refuses to marry him. (She has reasons.) He knows how to bring her pleasure and pain. And his love for her is truly heartfelt, went beyond the pages.

Jamie, on the other hand, is scared that marriage will change things between them. For the record, I believe she really loves Ryan. It's just that she couldn't come to terms with the depth of Ryan's love for her. That Ryan needs that label. Not because of anything but just because the guy loves her hard.

From what I gathered while reading, they've been together for years (two, I think) and they truly love each other, no doubt about that. This is enough time for Jamie to get her bearings together, work out on her fear of marriage but still she didn't want to cross that final line with Ryan. It also didn't help that her parents whom she thought was forever in love was separating. That shook her foundation twice as hard, making her doubt things again. This was where I almost dragged her by the hair and pull her to Ryan's side because she's freaking stubborn and blindsided by her fear. She was that frustrating and I couldn't really blame Ryan for issuing an ultimatum.

In the end, I was satisfied that Ryan also apologized for doing what he did (ultimatum) to Jamie (because it was unfair to her) and the love that Ryan showed in the beginning of the book shone out more brightly when the story was about to be wrapped up. Because he did understand and he'd take Jamie, ready or not for marriage. And finally, Jamie's heart convinced her head that Ryan was worth it.

Tempt Me is absolutely decadent and romantic with all the sexy things. Due to a very little BDSM it has, this book is suitable for mature readers.

REVIEW: TEMPT ME by J. Kenner is a novella that revisits Stark Security Chief Ryan Hunter, and Nikki Fairchild-Stark’s best friend / actress Jamie Archer. A couple of years have passed since Ryan and Jamie first fell in love and Ryan Hunter is hoping to make their relationship more permanent but our heroine Jamie struggles with the idea of marriage and a happily ever after so much so that when Ryan, once again, asks Jamie to marry him, Jamie is blindsided when her own parent’s marriage begins to implode.

TEMPT ME is an erotic story of romance; of one couple’s struggle to take the next step in their relationship. As per J. Kenner’s style of writing, the author’s use of some sexually graphic language is less than desirable and cringe worthy for this reader-I have a difficult time with a certain four letter word no matter the circumstance or usage.

TEMPT ME is a passionate and emotional story line. The premise is provocative; the romance is sexy and hot; the characters are familiar and engaging.

As always Julie Kenner delivers a fabulous read. I wait anxiously for the each of her book releases. Although this is a short read it delivers huge. There is strength, uncertainty, friendship, connection, love, sexiness and anticipation. As hot and steamy as these two get I did need to grab some tissues. Tempt me may be read as a stand alone, but you won't want to miss out on the the rest of this series or the ones prior to it.

Jamie Archer had been with a lot of guys and it's not something she looks at with pride. Jamie would mess around with guys without ever letting anyone of them get too close. She felt if you let them get too close, you could end up getting hurt. But then Hunter came along and broke through her defenses. All of her defenses. He tamed her, and now he’s always with her. In her heart. In her head. He makes her feel alive, on fire, turned on, but mostly Hunter makes her feel loved and cherished. If you have a man that makes you feel that way why does Jamie keep turning down his proposals?

“I don’t understand how two people who are so close can now be so far apart, and I can’t deny that I’m afraid. Because what had started with the vibe of a fight now has the putrid scent of forever. And forever’s not a place I can go without Ryan at my side.”


Ryan Hunter has been patient with Jamie. He understands why she had reservations about marriage in the past. He understands, but isn't accepting it. I thought this was a sweet little novella and is the perfect Valentine’s Day read. You could read this as a standalone, but I think it’s best enjoyed if you’ve read (at least) the Stark Trilogy and the first novella about Jamie and Ryan, Tame Me. It’s great to see where Ryan and Jamie are in their relationship and I really liked how devoted to Jamie that Ryan was. There’s a bit of angst due to Jamie’s hang ups, but ultimately this is a steamy and sweet novella that’s easy to breeze right through and end up with a smile on your face!

This was a fantastic novella, it's a quick easy read that is sure to entertain. Ryan and Jamie are a dynamic couple, and while Ryan is ready to take that next step into marriage Jamie is dragging her feet. Jamie is a bit insecure and afraid of marriage, but when Ryan has reached his limit he forces her to choose a life with him or to walk away. It may be a short story, but it's packed full or emotion, hot scenes, and great characters!

I initially met Jamie and Ryan in Tame Me.
So I was pleasantly surprised to see what's these 2 have been up to.

Yet, Ryan wants more and wants to make it official, Jaime disagrees.
The chase is on and I loved it. I only wished it was longer.

I absolutely loved this novella in the Stark international series. Jamie and Ryan are still going strong after a couple of years together. Jamie knows that Ryan wants to marry her but she is very apprehensive and this complicates her relationship. Can Ryan change her mind? Read and find out.
J Kenner takes the reader back to the high glitz and incredibly sexy world she created with RELEASE ME. She can certainly take you through every emotion. Highly recommended

I love all things Stark related and this novella about Jamie and Ryan is no different. You should really read this series if you haven't for more background but if you don't want to this book is still scorching hot and full of Jamie's drama and fear of marriage.

Ryan has made no secret of the fact that he wants to marry Jamie but she thinks things are fine the way they are and why add the pressure of the piece of paper and potentially mess it up? But after a wonderful weekend with their friends and a talk with Nikki Jamie decides she read to take this major step. If she can just stop being afraid of her own shadow. So on a romantic ride back from Jackson and Sylvia's she tells him she is ready if he ever decides to ask her again. Which he doesn't right then.

But when she gets back home and her mom calls with the worst news possible it sends Jamie into a tailspin and everything she thought she knew about her parents complete and total admiration and love for one another isn't what she thought. So now what is she supposed to do?

When Ryan surprises her for Valentines Day and has planned a beautiful day and a surprise Jamie hasn't had a chance to tell him what has happened before he actually does propose and she can get the words out. Then comes the ultimatum and the moment he breaks her heart.

What will happen? Will she let her fears keep her from Ryan? Will he really throw what they have had for several years now down the drain because she hesitated?

You'll have to read to find out.

I liked it but I have always had mixed feelings about Jamie and this book solidified those feelings. I just really dont know how I feel about her. I like how it ended up but I was very disappointed in her selfishness & unwillingness to bend throughout most of the book. But I was glad that she went out of her shell and finally gave Ryan what he wanted...no, what he needed.

I love this series and always love the chance to see a little more of my favorite couples. Ryan and Jamie are back again. Ryan is ready to take their relationship to the next level, but Jamie dances around the subject and drags her feet. She is happy where their currently are and doesn’t see how a piece of paper will change their relationship. Ryan takes Jamie off for a romantic weekend away from all their friends and family. Will he be able to change her mind?

This novella can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend you read all the books in the series. Hot, steamy read!

I have to say these little Novellas are truly my crack.. OMG I don't think I could survive without the naughty, tense, angsty trips J takes us down, keeping me constantly tethered to all things Stark & their wider circle.

Tempt me, literally did deliver utter temptation in the the divine form of Ryan Hunter. This man, his mouth & his absolute alpha dominance has 100% mastered the art of zoning in on my submissive side, because damn the things that come out of his mouth leave me weak in the knees & gagging for more.

This sinfully sexy yet passionately sweet novella is based around the gorgeous Jamie & her man Hunter . Having been in sexually dynamic, loving & strong relationship for a few years now, the whispers of marriage & commitment have been chased away long enough & the need to have it all, versus the sheer fear of losing it all is something that Jamie struggles with immensely , but for Hunter, his need to take it to the next level causes some angsty twists & turns that will leave your heart racing.

I devoured every word, every moment, every scene like a woman starved of chocolate .. or wine.. or both. It amazes me, how literally within the first sentences of these smexy lil numbers, JK manages to capture my heart & soul, delivering me straight in to my own version of heaven .

This is a short Valentines Day novella in the Stark Series featuring Jamie and Ryan. I love the Stark Trilogy, Damien and Nikki are one of my favorite couples that being said I've never really been a fan of Jamie. But I'll read Jamie's book if there's a chance Damien and Nikki will make an appearance. Ryan and Jamie have been together for a few years and he's been patient with her about marriage. Jamie loves Ryan but she's always been afraid of commitment. After having lunch with their happily married friends Jamie tells Ryan that she's finally ready for marriage. He plans a romantic Valentines Day proposal and instead of saying yes right away she hesitates. Ryan is confused, hurt, and angry and he gives her an ultimatum. I was glad Ryan did what he did and that he stuck to it or else she would have continued to mind fuck him.

When Jamie Archer 1st met Ryan Hunter (Chief of Security Stark) she knew he would own her heart. Ryan worshiped Jamie from the beginning even when he knew she had a past filled with countless men in and out of her bed until the time he was able to prance on his "*kitten" and claim her as his own. Their chemistry is off the charts. Ryan has proposed knowing Jamie has "broken" him and he knows he has to have her. but for Jamie she loves Ryan more than she could breathe but she struggles with "yes", she fears she is not worthy of a happily ever after.... until she is given the ultimatum and forced to.confront her own fears... Tempt Me is powerful. provocative...and is not to be missed. will she commit to the only man who owned her from the 1st moment they looked into one another's eyes? Ryan Hunter is ready to marry the love of his life, Jamie Archer, but she's not so convinced. Knowing it's her insecurities and fear of commitment holding her back, Ryan takes another chance and proposes, but circumstances have Jamie once again hesitant to say yes. Ryan has no choice but to deliver an ultimatum, and he can only hope that Jamie will come to her senses and realize that the two of them are meant to be before they lose one another forever.

TEMPT ME is a novella in the Stark International series, and while I didn't have the benefit of reading any other books in this series prior to picking this one up, I didn't have any trouble acclimating to it. My heart broke for Ryan as he struggled to deal with Jamie's wedding waffling, but also for Jamie because she just couldn't let herself trust in their love for the long term. You could tell that the couple loved each other desperately and were meant to be together, but after awhile I got annoyed at Jamie's inability to make a decision. That said, I LOVED how it wrapped up in the end! I'll definitely look for more from Ms. Kenner!

There's nothing sweeter than a little Jamie and Ryan drama. Will Jamie commit to the one thing that scares her the most? Can Ryan accept Jamie or will he hightail it back to single hood?

Julie has done a fantastic job of revisiting old friends while keeping true to the story. I love how she incorporated the snippets of Damien & Nikki and Jackson & Sylvia. The sexy time and humor are also cleverly writing. A great read.

I really liked how protective Ryan was, “for the sake of those guys, I certainly hope not. No hands on my girl except mine.” As if to illustrate the point, he slides his hands up and down my arms, and I sigh with a low, delicious pleasure, then grab his belt buckle to tug him closer." Especially when Jamie has been so standoffish from love for so long until she met Ryan Hunter. I have loved all of the Stark Novella's and followed each one. Tempt me was so good and I loved reading each page!

You get stuck in Jamie's head when she tries to convince herself that the life she and Ryan share has been sufficient. But is it really? What has been holding Jamie back even after these years of living in bliss and being in love. Ryan has been so patient, but I feel he is getting to the end of that rope. He has been ready for the next step. Is Jamie willing to take that leap with him? Or will she lose the best thing that has ever happened to her.

I am so happy that this story will be available in time for this Valentine's day! Love is the theme in this book. And you will truly see how these two love each other to the core. This definitely adds to the hot sexy scenes you get. I love how commanding Ryan is in and out of the bedroom. Truly exciting! So don't miss out what is next for our security chief and anchor woman. Fingers crossed that she says "Yes".

Tempt Me is the second novella in the Stark International spinoff series by J Kenner. This story tells how Ryan Hunter planned a passionate, romantic surprise getaway to propose to Jamie Archer. But Jamie’s faith in marriage was shaken when her parents, who had been devoted to each other for thirty years, unexpectedly separated. This was another well paced, well written novella that was delightful to read. Jamie and Ryan’s relationship is so solid and Ryan is still Jamie’s anchor. Their chemistry is still going strong. The reader simply has to ride the anxiety rollercoaster with Jamie until she is able to see that for herself. If you enjoy spicy contemporary romance, you cannot go wrong with something written by this author. The novella can be read on its own, as part of a small Jamie/Ryan series, or in chronological order as part of the larger Stark International series. This was my second time reading this novella, in preparation for the release of a new addition to Ryan and Jamie’s story, Touch Me. I am voluntary writing this honest review after reading an ARC thanks to 1001 Dark Nights and J Kenner.

The second steamy novella featuring Ryan and Jamie’s story. Tempt Me finds them in love and living together. Life is great except for one thing, the only thing that would make it perfect for Ryan would be Jamie agreeing to marry him, but she has to work through some issues from her family before she reaches that point. Just when she’s on the brink of saying yes something happens to give her a serious case of cold feet but is Ryan beginning to lose patience with her?

Once again, the steam level was high, there’s no doubting the chemistry and passion this couple have but I can’t help but feel frustrated with Jamie and I’m sure if you looked in a dictionary, you’d see her name under ‘high maintenance’. She blows hot and cold with Ryan who must have the patience of a saint to put up with her but then again, he’s not above using some psychological warfare to reach his end game and win the girl.

I like this couple but it was a very 'by the numbers' novella. Highly predictable and 1/3 or it is sex (if that's what grabs you). My preference is the true Stark books (some of the novellas) because as a reader, I come for the plot. J.Kenner's true strength in the way she paints a reality for her characters and reasons for their behaviour. You do get that in this novella but it is highly predictable and like I said, by the numbers. But it's only a novella.

If you've never read a J.Kenner book I would highly recommend the Stark Series. It has dark themes for those who have issues with that. She is however, an author that uses those themes for a reason not as a lazy plot device. If you are brave enough, it won't disappoint. A continuation of the Stark books is releasing in April.

Yes or no?

So kinda got mixed up with my books and this one should have been read before Anchor Me. Cause well it is a big spoiler finding something out that you didn't read oops.

Jamie and Ryan have had it good and now Jamie is wondering if the biggest thing she is afraid of and Ryan wants it badly if it will tear them apart and she thinks it will make him want her less.

Valentine's day is fast approaching and Jamie is all set on spending it on her own but Ryan has other plans for the day and they involve Jamie. But when he pushes she runs and seeking advice from her best friend Nikki she knows deep down what she wants but she is afraid and after finding out Ryan is going clubbing and doesn't invite her she can't understand how he can go from loving her to finding another woman so quickly but will Jamie be too late to say the words he wants to hear?

After being together for two years, Ryan is at the end of his rope. He wants marriage and a family with Jamie but she is scared of making the big commitment. She knows she has to get over this fear because a greater fear would be losing Ryan. She loves Ryan and hates how she is so insecure. After he asked her to marry him and she didn't answer but ran, she made a video for him where she told him how much she loved him. She asked him to marry her in one of the tacky wedding chapels in Vegas. They carried it off.

Jamie was in awe of her parents who were still madly in love with each other after thirty plus years. When she learned they were separating, how could she think marriage for her would be better? She had to face her fears to see that life with Ryan would be so much better than life without him.

I absolutely love this series and the stories that surround them. Nikki and Damien are a great super couple, but J. Kenner wrote a just as powerful couple in Jamie and Ryan. Even in the other novella's when they were just coming together and the tid bit we would get, I could tell that bringing Jamie and Ryan together was a good thing. The chemistry the two have and how Ryan seems to be the only man who can tame Jamie. This book was so good and so true to how their story has gone so far. Jamie being a little flighty and skittish about marriage and Ryan just wanting to spend the rest of his life with the woman he loves. These two really deserve their own full length book written about them. I would buy it in a heart beat.
