When Lukas and Clare Burton's only daughter vanishes from Central Park in broad daylight, the New York City's Mayor will stop at nothing to bring her home safely. Burton pays the ransom; however, when nine-year old Abigail surfaces, she returns with enough explosives to destroy Gracie Mansion and their Upper Eastside neighborhood.

Now, the kidnappers raise the stakes, asking for a second ransom that could financially crush the Mayor and ruin his hopes of becoming the next President of the United States.

Reaching an emotional breaking point and potential bankruptcy, Clare takes matters into her own hands, calling on old flame Carter Matheson to use his Special Ops prowess to hunt down a foe with the power and position to bring the city to its knees.

Facing an impossible deadline, with a little girl who is literally a ticking bomb, Carter must race the clock, find the kidnapper and disarm the bomb before all hell breaks loose.

KNUCKLE DOWN is the third novel in the Carter Matheson Series, following BEHIND THE 8 BALL and LUCKY STRIKES. Stay tuned, as the tables get turned on Carter, when his adversaries find his breaking point in the upcoming white-hot thriller, ACHILLES HEEL.

A suspenseful, Intriguing page turner!!

A page turning thriller in the tradition of James Patterson and Harlan Coben. Intrigue and suspense at every turn. Well defined characters that had me casting who would play the part in the inevitable movie. I was disappointed that the subplot was seemingly forgotten but I now see that it is the lead in to the theater. So looking forward to it. Keep them coming David Temple. (Maybe St Thomas could be the location of one of your future novels).
