I was captivated from the first book! It has been a wonderful journey in time, with supernatural mysteries and suspense. Mikey has really outdone himself, a thorough writing and imagination! Thank you, Mikey and congratulations for an outstanding series! But, I do hope there's a sequel; I'd like to know more about the famous black stones, if Callisto and Jake finally uncover the mystery.Please!!!

Scaderstone Pit
This is the intriguing conclusion to the Darkeningstone Trilogy. Again there are new characters along with the old. All of the crossed timelines come to an end! How will those affected by the stone fare?
In 3550 BC, a woman has escaped with her baby, but she is far from safety. The dreaded Wandrians, who destroyed her tribe and killed her husband, won’t let her go easily. They would take her son and turn him into a blood-thirsty savage like themselves. If she can just reach the forest she has a chance!
In 1919 someone has acquired Scadertone with the intension of turning it into a quarry. Will they discover the mysterious black rock shelf? Get in on the beginning of the modern era adventure.
In 2021 Jake is a young adult. He works, visits his parents and tries to lead a normal life. However the nightmares prove the effect his past claims on him. He can’t forget the power of the stone and his terrible experience in the past. He can never reclaim his lost time, but if he could just speak with someone else who had experienced some of the same things, maybe he could understand enough to lay his ghosts to rest.
Cally, having attained her degree, is currently working with a television program broadcasting “live history” from the site of a dig in France. She has left her disturbing experiences with the blackstones in the past and firmly shut the door.
Jake seeks Cally, but others are watching! Can the two safely find answers to their questions? What sort of secrets are being hidden?

Kindle Unlimited {not now was at time of reading} just like with the first of the trilogy which was Trespass, then Outcast, and this being Scaderstone Pit, kept getting lost but again may be because my laptop 'reads' to me, not sure. Enjoy the story/-ies but the different time periods are good and bad for me keeping up. The writer does explain some things at the end of this book, questions or additional information about what was going on.Not kindle unlimited so either freebie day on amazon or instafreebie or something.

The author does a really good job of tying together all the stories of current and past characters. I thought he was quite ingenious in the way he did that. The only thing I didn't like was that Jake and Cally never get together. I'm a sucker for happy endings. Anyways, I really liked the book and the other books in the trilogy. The final denouement for Jake and Cally

It appears those in the know are determined to conceal the Darkeningstones from all and sundry. Great lengths are taken to keep them hidden.
Are the people harassing Carly really from a Government Agency as they claim? Is Jake being followed or has he become paranoid? Crawford makes another appearance in this final book of the series, but I'm betting he wishes he had let sleeping dogs lie.
