Review of Ragnarok
I like this series, Twilight of the Gods. It has always been interesting to me, as a history but, to imagine what might have happened if a battle decision went the opposite of what happened or if England would have listened to Churchill and not Chamberlain.
I tend to agree with Mr Nutall's analysis that the Reich would have collapsed from its own weight, similar to the Soviet Union. One would hope that the alternate history presented in The Man in the High Castle would not come true.
I have always like the way Mr Nutall gets you to connect with his characters. You cheer for Gundrun, hope that Horst finds her and celebrate her brother Kurt as he fights for a free Reich. When Grundrun's father died, I felt bad. Getting an emotional response from reading a book means, at least to me, that the author connected with me in some way.
If you like alternate history series, give this series a try. A good read...
