The artwork is stunning, but sometimes drops into some weird chibi-style design that doesn't suit the age/style of the characters at all.
There was also a HUGE glitch in my version (from Amazon) where I get to page 28 and pages 21-28 are repeated, before the story continues.
While I thought the concept was interesting, the characters were a bit flat, the artwork chopped and changed too often, for no particular reason. I've seen many yaoi/manga where the artwork switches to cutesy chibi for small panels where the attention to detail isn't easily kept, but that wasn't the case here.
There wasn't much to the story, though. I felt like it never went anywhere. We got a whole lot of Lucien's backstory, but not much that indicated what direction the story was heading.

The main characters are very sweet and fun together: Milo, an innocent young man looking for slow old-fashioned romance and courtship, and Viscount Lucien Valammar who needs a gentle introduction to modern times and technology after a 200 year nap. Lucian is traumatized by the loss of his lover—200 years ago, but it seems like yesterday. Milo doubts the existence of vampires. Lucian is either pretending or delusional, but Milo loves talking to him online and dreams of when they will meet. A sweet and sexy story so far!

This book is the a sweet story of a heartbroken man who goes on a vampire date site for his best friend. He needs the distraction and it will help her get to the truth about if vampires exist. But is he into her mission or the "vampire" he meets? I'm being vague on purpose because this story makes me giddy! I love the illustrations and it ties their lives outside of each other and their interactions together well. I'm already halfway through volume two!

I love vampires and comics, though new to Yaoi Manga. I don't understand the change in the picture when emotions are raised.
The storyline is cool - original (to me) with a vampire awakening 200 years in their future. A friend linking him to a modern day human.
I can't wait to read Vol 2, to see how it ends up.

Pretty charming
Real cute book, I think it was funny and a good set up. It’s a fun idea that this vampire is exposed to our world and learns it the way he does. Can’t wait for the second part!

This was one of the cutest things I've seen. The vampire is freaked out by spiders, and idk why i find that so cute, but i do and i love it.

Get it you'll want to see more as well
Wow ,cool book. Wish there really was a web site or way to connect to other worlders , to meet a mate. Very well written and drawn , holds your attention through out.

Still enjoyable even after a long time.
2nd time reading and it was nice. Still wish they could continue the series past the second volume, but at least I have the Vampire Club Series.
