A concrete framework for engaging today's buyer and building relationships Social Selling Mastery provides a key resource for sales and marketing professionals seeking a better way to connect with today's customer. Author Jamie Shanks has personally built Social Selling solutions in nearly every industry, and in this book, he shows you how to capture the mindshare of business leadership and turn relationships into sales. The key is to reach the buyer where they're conducting due diligence—online. The challenge is then to strike the right balance, and be seen as a helpful resource that can guide the buyer toward their ideal solution. This book presents a concrete Social Selling curriculum that teaches you everything you need to know in order to leverage the new business environment into top sales figures. Beginning with the big picture and gradually honing the focus, you'll learn the techniques that will change your entire approach to the buyer.
Social Selling is not social media marketing. It's a different approach, more one-to-one rather than one-to-many. It's these personal relationships that build revenue, and this book helps you master the methods today's business demands.
Reach and engage customers online Provide value and insight into the buying process Learn more effective Social Selling tactics Develop the relationships that lead to sales Today's buyers are engaging sales professionals much later in the buying process, but 74 percent of deals go to the sales professional who was first to engage the buyer and provide helpful insight. The sales community has realized the need for change—top performers have already leveraged Social Selling as a means of engagement, but many more are stuck doing "random acts of social," unsure of how to proceed. Social Selling Mastery provides a bridge across the skills gap, with essential guidance on selling to the modern buyer.
Trying to learn enterprise-level social selling? Social Selling Mastery is the roadmap you need. No other book lays out exactly which KPIs to track, how to enroll leadership and what exactly should be in your pilot program. It's a must-have for anyone claiming to be a social seller in 2017.
At first, I wasn't expecting very much from this book (particularly when he mentioned his admiration of Grant Cardone...... Uuuuuggggghhhh). The beginning didn't necessarily do it justice, whereby the overall gist of it is, 'You need to be online, leverage LinkedIn, use personal connections' yada yada yada.
However, towards the middle of the book, he started to give very good advice about tools you can use on LinkedIn and Google to be able to SEO effectively, own a market, implement procedures, and make a company-wide concerted effort to implement a policy of social selling.
Overall, a decent book, but could have been condensed much mroe.
Before reading this I don't honestly think I had ever considered there may be a strategy in my communication. Of course there should be! It slips into three stars because of one particular insight which may fundamentally change how I forever share content. A buying audience reading your content does so to answer the question why they have a problem, then to answer how they may solve it and finally know who otherwise can help them solve it.

meh basically explains "networking" is now "socialising" and explains a lot of selling techniques, its got some interesting points, but its aimed at the top role of an enterprise company and expects you to have some knowledge of sales lingo, I have neither.
According to the author, 76% of customers now do research of your product or service before you even talk to them. There are some little tidbits but I was expecting more. It goes over importance of tweeting, LinkedIn, blogs, etc..
