Desolate Era #17

Celestial Immortal

Rate this book
Fate had never been kind to Ji Ning. Wracked by illnesses and infirm his entire life on Earth, Ning knew early on that he would die as a teenager. What he didn’t know was that there really was such a thing as life after death, and that the universe was a far larger place than he thought.

A lucky twist of fate (one of the few in Ning’s life) meant that Ning was reborn into a world of Immortals and monsters, of Ki Refiners and powerful Fiendgods, a world where Dynasties lasted for millions of years. A world which is both greater…and yet also smaller…than he ever could imagine. He would have the opportunity to join them, and in this life, Ning swore to himself, he would never let himself be weak again!

The Era he was born into was a Desolate one, but Ning would make it his era.

Pure epicness combined with the emotional scenes. One could not wish for a better fiction. Action and adventure, FTW.

- Quote: Those who walk different paths can’t make plans together.
- Thoughts: I'll organize and debate my thoughts about the title being an obvious spoiler for the book:
On one hand yes, it is one. On the other, to announce that what can be taken for certain to happen will indeed happen cannot be called spoiler.
The book is good enough, the story is addictive so I keep reading it, it's actually pretty enjoyable after that bad beginning.

I prefer the books that spend more time on the cultivation and advancement. This book has plenty of that and I really enjoyed it. Ning is becoming a bad, bad man. There was a nice unexpected twist at the end.

Starting to get fatigued knowing I’m only at 17/45 - seriously worse than coiling dragon it’s like someone narrating a diary rather than actual events at least reverend insanity had good fight scene descriptions this is so mid despite being better than 90% of xianxia I’ve read
