My mother and I enjoyed this book. The engravings are beautiful. If you have never been to Boston and plan to visit, there are some great little gems in here. The West End, Louisburg Square, and Granary Burying-Ground to name just a few.
Early in our reading we came across facts about Boston that my mother (a true Bostonian) did not know and we were sure my father would not have known. We both remarked how he would have enjoyed the book. In fact, I bought the book a week after my Dad died in Brattle's book shop on West St in Downtown Crossing Boston.
